25:03 What I like about those 2D effects is that they are in slower frame rate than rest of animation but it works very well together in this setup.

for years i've always watched media at 2x speed, sometimes 1.5x. Arcane is the only thing i've found that you can watch at 0.8x speed, that you might want to watch at slower speed, just to try and catch everything onscreen. arcane is the gold standard for "every frame a painting" and the animation makes it even better, the whole greater than the sum of its parts

I just discovered your channel and your amazing work. You gave me goosebumps analyzing my shot (minute 30, the punch to camera) Lot of work went on each frame, plus the extra complexity of having a rotating camera around the subjects while trying to keep every trajectory clean along the shot. Thanks a lot for this!!!

Lol and they worked with riot.
Who might have some point in what direction they like thier animations to go into and also share secret lore they never told the players.
Art is a way to show another reality.
It can be realistic in ways but do try to make it your own.
Build it into what you want it to look like.
And take no short cut to your dream.

Yeah they nailed everything. The art style and animation techniques have stolen the show but the soundtrack and writing/performances all are on point in this show.

I have a question. Was it motion capture, but refined by keyframe animation? Or was it very well done keyframe animation?
I don’t know, good question!
On a interview (otp lol : arcane les coulisses) one of the co-producer said they use motion capture only for some characters in the 5th plan for overloaded scene

One question, is this 3D with a toon FX right?. or are these drawings????. it reminds me a little bit of the walking dead game (but better of course).

Would love to see like a comparison analysis between get jinxed, the other lol music videos and arcane.... like i feel they improved soooooo much between get jinxed 8 years ago and arcane in the 3d animation smoothness, but the 2d vfx animation already looked near perfect back then.... but that's just my thoughts as a very beginner anim student...

Just like I say to the animators and riot take your time mate.
Doesn't need to be like this video but just your feels on the show.
Your take on the characters, thier stories how everything is combined in a way or another.
A few emotional animation scenes maybe.
Cause this show is wonderful.
