What did they do to Katara? | Netflix Avatar the Last Airbender Live Action

- Let’s explore the changes to Katara in the Netflix live action avatar the last airbender. And cry about it. I actually enjoyed this series and love the cast so it's not THAT serious.
Also yes hi I’m back I guess.

And was Hermione treated

the cardboardification of katara…. a crime…
Katara is the glue that holds Team Avatar together. If her character is underdeveloped, the entire gAang will suffer because of it.
I think they're easing into it. For season 2. I hope they get more personal and build the characters.
Moron they don't suffer. Her character isn't underdeveloped, this whole show can be described as character development and katara is no different. Her whole arc in the show during season 1 is her gaining more confidence in herself and her abilities.
@@crimsoncloud6352 The issue being they're not gonna have time for that. Book 2 has the most forward momentum out of them all and having only 8 episodes is gonna lead to more rushing through and by following the show rather closely despite arbitrary changes it makes me entirely uninterested in what "might" happen cause I just don't see it working
@@crimsoncloud6352
But why did they have to ease into it? They crammed so many moments in book 1 meant to show growth and character development and did nothing with them.
They will NEVER pull off something like The Desert episode with thing Aang and Katara. No shot.
I'm actually disappointed that Katara didn't learn under Pakku like in the original. Avatar has always believed in the Master/Student dynamic so is awkward and unnatural for Katara not to learn anything from a waterbending master.
exactly! I cringed when the waterbending student called Katara Master. It was so out of place.
They also fully cut Pakku and Gran Gran's relationship history(which was the whole reason Pakku actually decided to allow women to train for combat in the OG show)
Because these writers think that “empowering women” means having them do EVERYTHING themselves through strength.
They re mentioned in season 3 with sokka
Especially for a show about martial arts. As a martial artist, and a woman, it was such a disservice to the traditions of martial arts. You don't just become a martial arts master overnight without any training
I feel like katara gets mistaken as a perfect good girl, when she wasn’t always right. She stole the water bending scroll from pirates and wanted to practice in private because she was jealous of how quickly Aang was getting the hang of waterbending. She trusted Jet and took his side when Sokka tried to convince her he was bad. She was naive and followed the fortune teller’s predictions to the point of judging what she’d eat.
Most of all that temper of hers. Although she stays calm most of the time, she can get real angry and it affects her bending. It’s how she broke aang out of the ice and how the room shook when she argued with Pakku about her waterbending. She was nice but had an attitude. I don’t know what direction they were trying to go with her, but they really watered her down.
Ha, watered her down *cries*
Yeah, I just rewatched the waterbending scroll and she literally tells aang to "shut his airhole" and makes him cry, all because she was jealous of him.
I'd say she was nice but had a temper. The only time she had an "attitude" i.e. an unjustified attitude is the water bending scroll episode tbh.
THIS
Bringing Connie back alone is enough to say that the Netflix Avatar adaptation was worth it.
That’s so sweet thank you :’)
@@ConnieGlynn30 I mean in the Ember Island episode they showed how bad the remakes going to be...
Someone saw the future there...
@@ConnieGlynn30 So happy that you're back!!!!
This is the most respectful form of simping I have ever seen. You actually made it work. That's impressive. Respect.
Who the fuck is connie?
I’m glad I’m not the only one who is upset about how they treated Katara’s character. In the OG series she was one of the most passionate and full of life characters, in this live-action she is just there with an emotional range of a wall. She might as well could have been Mai. This just made me want to rewatch the original ASAP.
It has probably a lot to do with how inexperienced the actress is. They should have casted someone older considering Katara is meant to be the mother of the group.
FR had to rewatch the original to heal from that T-T
@@crystalclear7512 the actress isn't the problem. According to her fans, she showed more range and emotion on her previous show "Ann with an E". She might have some blame, but I put 90% of the blame on the writers and director. SURELY, the director would've noticed how bad her acting is unless that's exactly how he directed her to act.
@@crystalclear7512lies. She played with so much charisma as a young indigenous girl in anne with an e. It’s the way they wrote her. They purposely took away Katara’s flame
Katara was responsible and passionate. But ALSO she was immature, she was a kid! And they took all of that from her. They took that from all of the characters.
That immaturity of all the young characters made them relatable and playful despite the seriousness of the world and their responsibilities.
And we watched them all grow and mature through the show.
The best episode that illustrates Katara's importance and role to the Gaang was the episode they're trekking through the desert after Appa got kidnapped. Like, without Katara there, the Gaang would have been lost and hopeless.
Very true. That's when she holds the whole group together like a motherly figure.
In the desert episode, when there wasn't enough water in the cloud, Aang shouted to Katara with anger like,"I did all I could, what were you guys doing, what are you doing?" And Katara replied,"Trying to keep everybody together." Like, that's the whole point of Katara, she is motherly, she is trustworhy, strong, energetic, and stubborn(mostly in a good way). This LA didn't seem to get that at all. Since Katara is my favourite character from the series, I was so disappointed.
The disappointment in Katara's character in the live action and the excitement from an upload form Connie! What an emotional rollercoaster
I can't explain to you how happy I am that someone specifically decided to talk about how wrongfully done Kataras character was in the show. In my opinion, taking away Sokka's sexism was the catalyst to dimming Katara. Katara is how she is BECAUSE of her sexist brother and her need to prove him wrong! It's literally there from the beginning. Katara and Sokkas dynamic was a ping pong off each others personalities in the beginning so taking away her fierceness to prove him wrong really dimmed her sooooo much
It was also because of what happened to her mother that she was determined to become a master and her anger / frustration at not being able to was fueled by that. I just realized this after watching this video. Excellent critique Connie! It blows my mind how in depth these characters were thought out.
Sokka stealing most of her character beats just makes it so much worse. This is so frustrating because Katara being protective and overly motherly is a product of her greatest character trauma, her mother's death and the feeling she needed to replace her mother when their father left for the war. The scene where Katara gets angry at their father after being reunited with him in season 2 is one of the character moments that wrecked me the most, because it really makes you realize how their parent's absence has deeply impacted both her and Sokka and forced both of them to grow up way to fast. Part of Katara resents their father for abandoning them and making her feel like she was responsible for holding everything together. She and Sokka experienced the same traumas as siblings, but experienced it in profoundly different ways. In the show, it feels like they robbed Katara's character and gave all her most compelling moments to her brother.
Without all that it's hard to imagine this Katara having an excellent arc later on about wanting to get revenge on the man who killed her mother. The fierceness, burning desire to be a strong waterbender and underlying grief and anger just isn't quite there in the show.
A niche critic I have is gran gran giving her the scroll because I don’t think they (the tribe) would take the chance that the fire nation would come back to search for water benders so they wouldn’t want to have anything that would frame them
Yes and in the og having a cultural artefact stolen and sold by pirates was (I think) a comment on how colonisation commodifies cultural knowledge to be bought as trinkets.
The scene in the Netflix show where Katara and the Water Healing Master both went to convince Master Paku to let them fight was so baffling to me. The Healing Master says something like "if we don't fight, then we'll lose everything we already have" to which Paku goes "OK fine, you can fight," and I went "Great, now if the Fire Nation just happens to beat this group of water healers, the Northern Water Tribe has no doctors anymore," because for all the audience knows those water healers are the only ones in the North Pole.
On an unrelated note, I totally agree with everything you said in the video, and also thought that Katara was the character that the Netflx show completely stripped of any personality whatsoever, except for a belief in hope and the power of friendship. To be fair to Netflix in their treatment of Katara though I also felt that they stripped all of the female characters down to a single personality trait, which is definitely a terrible decision, and made for a terrible viewing experience for me, the problems with Katara in the Netflix show aren't exclusive to her, but they're definitely the most glaringly obvious.
The way they expressed themselves made me think that in the middle of the 100 years of war, the northern tribe really had no real idea of what to do whit a female waterbender medical squad.
They made Suki thirsty and Yue having manic pixie dreams🥲
The real problem was the attempt to sanitize for "modern audiences" removing Sokka's sexism and comedy gave Katara zero snark and sass, meanwhile they tried making her not be emotional until Jet so it makes her look thirstier than her brother or Aang(they removed his early crush), and because they removed Aang Waterbending you never see her learning or teaching, and because they removed her emotions and righteous fury you just get her being a little mad at Paku while because they removed his tribes sexism he becomes way too agreeable and unchallenging... Which makes her determination look weaker and her problems trivial... And why make ALL the healers insist on combat? Even in war you want frontline medics to retrieve injured, while others value self preservation and want to be away from the fighting.
@@michaellane5381 you got it !
Yeah this show removed sexism as a flaw of Sokka while also writing the female characters so much worse than the original. This show pretends to be less sexist while being more sexist than ATLA.
I haven't watched the show specifically because I was told several times that Katara is the shy girl now.
She's the only female over 10 and under 70 in her village. She is everyone's mom. That doesn't make shy.
I didn't like Katara, but I did love her. She could be grating, but she was always understandable.
Part of what made Sokka and Katara so good was they were both trying to be the "responsible" one. She was the Mom, he was the Leader, and that didn't always jive together.
I screamed when the fight with Zuko ended with the master line ”Yes, I did. You’re looking at her” 🤮🤮 This is a case example of Hollywoods Girl Boss mentality and it felt like she didn’t actually have to work at all to become a MASTER… Like she read a scroll and… that’s basically it. It feels unearned, lame and booooriiinngggg. They did Katara dirty and I feel like I’m too invested in this.
On a good note, I stumbled upon your channel and loved your video! 🥹😂❤️ Also, loving the Pikku Myy (Little My)x2, love from Finland! 🇫🇮
Me too for the Little My! I actually grew up watching The Moomins, even though I am from Quebec, Canada. I teared up when I saw the plushies. Thinking about buying one Moomin for myself 😅
Ugh I HATED that line so much. It was so fucking stupid and I cringed. 😣😣
Omg she actually says that ? 😭
Also, I know this is a video about Katara, but I believe the same critique could be made for Azula as well. Her character, I feel, has been diminished greatly-especially by her early appearance in the series (taking that element of surprise that makes her even scarier in the OG). Now she just feels like a little kid who's trying to play with the adults....not intimidating at all :(
Honestly I could have done a whole other video on Azula you’re so right
They should have got a mean girl influencer and told her to act like a batman Villan. That prolly would have worked better lol it is disappointing cuz Katara and Azula are my favs
Right?!
@@ConnieGlynn30Do it!
@@ConnieGlynn30 Not to mention that the actress they hired to play Azula is too fat and chubby to play a character whose movements in battle require a slim and agile body, a very athletic frame and an ability to move fast and smoothly. I don't have anything against fat people, but in order to play a character whose fighting style is full of agile and fluid movements and a character that lived to fight and be the best warrior possible, you can't hire fat actors or actresses to play the part. It's just the reality, and I'm personally *_tired_* of modern-day entertainment being so, so politically correct in the name of inclusion, that they would rather water down the actual and real personalities or physical appearances of certain characters, instead of portraying the characters as accurately as possible.
Such a refreshing deep dive into Katara's character from a Katara fan. So many other reviews on YT are so general about their gripes without going into specifics, so it was nice to hear a take from someone who's so passionate about the depth of the character.
Also as a female fan, it’s really nice to find a YT review of the live action show and Katara specifically, who also identifies with Katara ❤
"It's giving Valium" made me actually choke
My literal thought was “she seems lobotomized”
Completely agree!! Katara is my favorite character and she DESERVES MORE RESPECT 😤
I gotta say Connie looks stunning, the black hair really suits her, nicely contrasts with her complexion and gives her Snow White vibes ❤❤
The issues you address here are so well thought-out and sincere to the truth (and Netflix's lie) of the character, and touches upon the rest of the damage that the live-action has done.
You said everything there is to say about Katara. The rest of the characters build upon common flaws of dampening and/or alterations:
-Aang: I want to erase the number of times he has said "the monks have said" in lieu of saying something that is his. Aang's role is that of a tuning fork, with his lines citing emptily his duties. I see no interpersonal growth between him and the rest of Team Avatar. There were no hints at his forthcoming liking for Katara, for example. And in his fights, his elusiveness was weakened, where he showed no wisdom in defense (i.e. the fight against him and Zuko), only ever using air to push rather than to perform his fluid, functional acrobacies. That is how you show that he bears the wisdom of the monks, not through just empty words.
-The previous Avatars: Kyoshi is presented as a woman so focused that the strength she can so easily muster and overpower with is veiled by the grace of a wise silence and concentration. She does not ever speak with an angry tone or even so much as vocalized when she parts islands apart. She may be harsh but never was she seen angry, only demanding.
-Yue: What they took from Katara they molded into this steadfastness with neither virtue nor direction and put it in Yue. They were going for a "she *is* of this earth" result, but how can the environment she is the sovereign of be completely ignored for cheap feminism? There is simply no way she can be given the authority to make her own nuptial decisions in the Northern Water Tribe, and it was that conflict between her and the two boys, and the ultimate decision to give up both to become the Moon spirit that gives her the virtue with which she is loved. The writers killed what the original plot already satisfies the good objectives of feminism by, with hostile inclusivity quotas and cheap writing.
-Ozai: He is very well portrayed, but is lacking the twisted empathy he always showered Azula in. Instead, we get aggression towards her, which I don't recall seeing in the show. She was the apple of his power-hungry eye, and the pressure he concomitantly sheds was enough for Azula to know she has to prevail in every task and every silent expectation. This hurts Azula's character.
-Azula: All anger. What makes her so exciting to watch is the ability to instill fear with her cold tone, inexhaustibly calculating mind and the tension she always instills, in accompaniment with the punctuality of her dissonant chime. And where is the lipstick!?
I didn't look very forward to the Netflix show, particularly because of how they write characters in order to make them more powerful. Instead it only makes them weaker, showing how power and strength are separate things.
But they did do Zuko justice. Dallas Liu is phenomenal in every aspect of the word. I loved him and Iroh. And his fight scenes stole the show in both, firebending and as the Blue Spirit alike. And that's true for much of the cast, many of them knew how to fight very very well. I was so surprised at how badass they all are at handling their weapons, but Zuko as the Blue Spirit is so exact and fierce, it steals the cake. Bravo for that!
being fake positive is worse than being negative but honest
What made Katara so great is she got angry, jealous, emotional, always wanted to help people, was kind, and caring, motherly to the whole group, oh and was a badass fighter....Netflix Katara is bland boring, emotionless, female power up, no help from a man typical holly wood snooze.
3:02 which is… part of the problem. How does he evolve into that amazing character when he starts as the best of the group? I kinda enjoyed not liking him early on a side for comedy and getting to see him grow and love him more as he did and kind of “proved me wrong” in a way. It’ll be interesting to see what they make his journey considering his only focused on problem is not feeling adequate when everything plot wise is showing him as “the best” right now.
This is such a good point
i was chanting "kick 👏 his 👏 ass 👏" when i first watched s1 of the show, and it made it all the more fun when he changed so much later on.
like everything else in this stupid show, the changes to him were unecessary. these characters have no starting points, no flaws. i predict theyll be the exact same at the end as they were when it all started.
I'm looking forward to season two!
but Katara was strange; Overall, Katara reached Zuko's level in just her first summer of self-taught training.
They curiously downplay the importance of going to the North in the first place or the rol of masters if Katara was already so good on her own.
It's insane how similar your experience is to mine LMAO
I also was most annoyed at live-action Katara out of all the complaints and the Netflix version ALSO got my mom to watch the original
Great video!! :)
Something I just realized because live-action Katara is such a soggy noodle:
If the show gets renewed for S2, they'll likely try to do the Hama episode; how is that going to work if Katara doesn't have the inner rage at the Fire Nation? The whole point of Hama is that she is the dark-mirror of Katara, she is Katara corrupted. Without having Katara be so internally angry the whole story won't have weight.
I really think they made Katara in a Mary Sue in the live action cuz she "became a master" basically all by herself, with the guidance of a beginner scroll only. In the animation she's very frustrated about Pakku not teaching her, while in the live action is just to make him let her fight. In the animation she stays there and study with Pakku for a few days, in the live action that never happens and Pakku, the guy who studied water bending his whole life ends up calling Katara, someone who started to learn it a few weeks ago, a master too.
And I agree with everything you said as well, we don't see the frustration and eagerness to learn water bending in the live action, becoming a master should require a deep focus and commitment, and for her in the show it seems just something fun to do, more like a hobby I think.
i never finished the animated series despite LOVING the first season and now this video has made me want to do that immediately. also excited that you’re back!!
If you check the interview where they mentioned toning down the show's sexism, they weren't actually referring to ATLA, they were talking about how the original plan for the Netflix travesty was to gag all female characters, but it was eventually deemed too overt.
In another commentary of the show the person argued that Katara’s calmer demeanor was more inline to the trauma she experienced and so they welcomed the change. That didn’t sit right with me, especially because irl I thought everyone understood there is no right way to respond to trauma.
But Connie brings up a better point here, that animated Katara became angry by her mother’s murder, where live action Katara is sadden and mostly guilty by her mother’s sacrifice. Both plausible responses BUT the beauty of animated Katara being shaped by anger was that it paralleled or contrasted Zuko being molded by his anger response to his trauma. So it was a very nuanced 3 dimensional lesson on being fueled by anger.
Live action Katara can’t have the southern raiders trip with zuko, which was a HUGE part of her finally releasing that anger. It was purposeful that it was just her and Zuko on that existential journey.
The cartoon wanted to teach you something while the remake wants to sell you something. It if gets a second season, hopefully they do better by the characters.
Super novice bender Katara somehow quickly raising a bunch of ocean water hundreds of feet in the air to block a giant fireball was an absurd power jump for the end of the first ep and they knew it. That’s why they didn’t show the water coming from anywhere and just showed “somehow the fireball was blocked” by something coming from offscreen.
As a fix I would have done one extra episode in the middle adapting an episode I’ve always thought was one of the important book one episodes being being Anng first learns Fire bending from Jeong Jeong and Anng burning Katara leads to Katara finding out she can heel,
I would swap some of the Azula practicing fire bending into this episode and have her trying to teach Anng as a small few scenes before this episode so and put those Azula scenes in this episodes as her excelling compared to Anng not doing so well and have Katara improving at her waterbending whilst struggling to teach Anng because maybe he’s not respecting her as a teacher trying to approach it how he learned from the monks, come across Jeong Jeong as they travel and he rushes off to learn Fire, Katara whilst angry with Anng does some major waterbending move that she didn’t know she could do showing her improving she goes to show Anng and he burns her in his moment of joy of firebending, she figures out she can heal as she does in the original episode, Anng feels guilt for this which is part of the chakras unlocking in book 2, and have Anng at the end of the episode practicing and learning properly from and respecting Katara at the end of the episode, this would push both Anng and Katara forward as characters
Agreed! This episode is a huge loss to the progressions of both characters & I don’t understand why they included so many scenes of Azula practicing. The first season is supposed to be about Water bending & Katara’s development. The next season shifts focus onto Azula & Toph/earth bending. I get they wanted to introduce Azula sooner & set the tensions between she & her brother, that’s fine but they did it to an excess & at the cost of scenes that were meant for Katara’s character development. I didn’t even think most of Azula’s scenes did all that much for her character, all those practice scenes could not been condensed.
Netflix: Take notes!
but fr this sounds amazing, i deffo thought that was such an important part in the original. its the reason why aang has such trauma and guilt about firebending and one of the main reasons he doent learn it until he does from zuko
It's amazing when you're able to passionately yet concisely express your thoughts and feelings about your favourite character to someone else. And it's even more cathartic when someone else does it for you right at your face like a mirror😆 Katara is a character I will defend to the death, and it was so satisfying to hear you explain exactly what I felt watching the Netflix show.
You are definitely right, these casts are so like the characters in real life judging by the interview so we know they can play these characters well. But, The writing and directing choice in the show just turned them into half adult half kids.
I love how you came back for this😭😭
I agree with… 90% of what you’ve said in this video, so, awesome…
My biggest gripe with Katara, (other than her lack of passion and… well… character) is that the first words out of her mouth regarding water bending was “I’m a warrior.” *Whaaaaaat?!?!?*
That was not Katara’s big outlook in life in the animated series. She just wanted to learn water bending, she let Sokka do the warrior-ing, even though she probably realized that he wasn’t all that good at it at first. Now, it’s like they’re trying to write her into this girl-boss thing, but they forgot to have to do any bossing…
The problem with changing a character like this is that you’ve changed the character… By definition, a character is an arrangement of personality traits; very specific ones that’s why they call them Characters, and not Subjects or Identities in stories. So when you change a personality trait in these characters it’s a different character now, just with the same name. You may as well write an entirely different TV show/movie; change the names and everything, then it’ll piss people off less.
this is the BEST way you could have come back, so happy to see you!!
There is absolutely no way that this Katara would do any of the things she did in the southern raiders.
Katara has been one of my favorite characters in all fiction. She’s the definitive heroine. In a world where every big studio is struggling to write female protagonists, they had it SO EASY. They didn’t have to modify anything, even after two decades Katara is one of the best
examples of a well written female character, she has everything a real person does, flaws and weaknesses included. It was truly infuriating watching every time this new Katara was on screen. It seems that her only character traits are that she can waterbend and that she has her girlboss moments straight out of 2019 😒
My childhood yt'ber is back, I'm so unbelievably happy Connie
I WAS WATCHING UR OLD VIDS YESTERDAY!!! but its so nice seeing u back on youtube connie!!!
You were so missed, Connie!! Glad to see you back. ♥️
I just started it last night and honestly, I don’t see all the hate it’s getting yet! It’s very pretty and SO well cast. I think if there’s a remake of anything that’s as well-loved as ATLA, it will be hard to live up to. I try to imagine it as it’s own separate but familiar thing lol
First time on this channel but wow this was a great and insightful video! Loved your takes and anecdotes. Welcome back!
Thank you so much that means a lot

I don't watch videos like this much anymore and just came across you by chance, but I just wanted to say you were incredibly eloquent and so keenly observant. I really enjoyed watching this video and it was so satisfying to have all of my feelings spoken out loud by somebody. Returned to TH-cam for the first time in a while to find an avatar review by someone I know and get blessed with Connie doing exactly that! Huge
Omg Connie so glad you posted🥹🩷🤍honestly i havent seen the live action yet but i wanna rewatch the original so bad now
WELCOME BACK OH MY GOD this seriously made my day
So happy you made this video. Everything I was thinking and feeling while watching the Netflix adaptation. They did Katara so dirty. Uncanny valley Katara hologram. And she's my favorite character in the original cartoon.
I seriously hope that they take in the feedback for next season and and give us back the katara that we know of. She was one of the first characters especially animated that was so strong and so human that she was such a huge role modle for me and the live action just makes her not even feel like she holds the same importance as the rest of the cast when shes literally the female lead.
@Connie Glynn - Personally... I agree with everything you said about Katara´s character, but I couldn´t enjoy this show myself. Like.. I really didn´t like most of the choices they made, in terms of the writing. You seemed to enjoy most of the stuff they did, but for me... I felt the way you do about Katara, but about most other characters as well :S
Im so happy you’re back ❤️
Connie is blessing us with a videoooooo

Hi Connie! I am currently reading your book and I love it! 💗
Yay!! Hope you have the best time ❤
welcome back connie, you were missed
No way!!! YOURE BACK :)
I clicked on this video simply from the title and immediately went oh my god is this CONNIE? when the world needed her most she returned
I love it when my opinions are concurred by Connie
Welcome back, Connie!
lmao idk you and have never seen your channel but the intro is hilarious and the trash talk is what i come for. haven't made(and don't plan to) make it past episode 3
Oh wow!! It's been so long since I've seen this channel!
never thought i would see you come back i am so happy ;-; katara has always been such an important role model for me, and i hate to see that the show diminishes her personality so much. she deserves better ;-;
You re back!!!!!
I can't believe its finally here after waiting literally so many years for this.
You returning to TH-cam, not Netflix Avatar.
I used to love watching your disney impressions when I was in highschool haha
Thank you thank you thank you for this video! Katara has been since the first time watching and always will be my favorite character! Katara has such a strong character and so many facets which was not shown at all. I love her genuine care for everyone what sometimes is even too much what makes her flaw also (eg bossy) she is stubborn but also very strong and stands up for herself and for her team. They took away the importance of the story of why she is "the mom of the group" in my opinion
Omg hello stranger, welcome back! 🤭🥹✨
Did not expect this video to come flying out of nowhere but I’m here for it. And I pretty much agree with all the points you made, good and bad.
I think if this gets a second season it needs to be more episodes, because the wild swinging between plot lines and condensing caused all kinds of issues but when they were trying to tell new version of existing stories, like the 41st Division and Zuko, it worked really well for me.
SHE IS BACK!!! Omg
She's BACK!!
QUEEN IS BACK
Thank you for highlighting Sokka, he was my fave from the original and he's SO good in the remake ☺️
I had to do a Cartoon triple take when I saw this notification pop up. I have always loved your channel for your sincerity and your jokey personality. TH-cam has been way worse off without your presence these last few years. I hope you do come back if not full-time at least part-time.
Welcome back Connie
