Hansi Flick has requested FC Barcelona to sign Jeremie Frimpong on a priority basis. Nico Williams, Luis Diaz, Dani Olmo - all 3 are winger options for the club, but a final decision on who exactly the club will target hasn’t been made yet. Flick has completely ruled out the signing of a left-back. The coach believes that both Balde and Alex Valle have the potential to compete for that spot. Hansi Is also planning to utilize both Cancelo and Fort at LB when needed. Barcelona and Nike are close to sealing a deal that will be historic for the club. Once finalized, it would make the club's jersey the highest-paid in the market when considering all variables in the contract, despite the few remaining details, after many months of negotiation led directly by president Joan Laporta and Nike CEO John Donahoe, the club is optimistic that the final agreement could be reached in the coming weeks. The club has two options regarding signing young players on the table of Deco's office. Johan Bakayoko, a 21-year-old Belgian right winger currently at PSV. The other is Assane Diao, 18-year-old Spanish left winger currently at Real Betis.

Frimpong for around 40m or Cancelo for around 30m, I choose Frimpong all day everyday, much younger, had a better season than Cancelo and has a higher cealing since he can still develop. Easy choice for me.

i think deco has an eye for talent and i wanna state i don’t think he should be sacked but don’t put so much stock into his decision making. like yeah nico williams, luis diaz and dani olmo are good players w potential but letting him say oh we should get olmo over nico williams is nutty. i think deco thinks he’s also the coach, he think oh we’ll play like this and olmo would fit this. but the way flick wants to play and what barca need is SO OBVIOUSLY NICO WILLIAMS. he needs fast athletic, high motor, pure wingers, olmo is not those😭
They should offer to pay Frimpong’s release clause in installments with the loan of Julian Araujo until the fee is paid in full. That way they don’t need money for a replacement and good experience for Araujo. I would have him over Cancelo if it’s an extra 10mil.
I would do similar with Balde following his injury. Get Grimaldo and give them Balde on Loan. Grimaldo at the moment is better than Balde. Balde will probably develop better under Xabi Alonso than at Barca currently.

If we want Frimpong to play as a RW/LW I’m not opposed to it IF we sign Nico Williams AND a pivot FIRST!!!!! Frimpong is a RW who was converted into a RWB. His profile wouldn’t work in our system, we just watched Cancelo get exposed defensively last season. We also already have an attacking heavy fullback in Balde who is better defensively than Frimpong. If we bring him in at RB well just be unbalanced again

Diaz is a far better player than overhyped Spanish winger's. Diaz plays under Klopp. Anyone who knows about football and have some sense will not choose Nico over Diaz. Barcaboy stop thinking of cancelo as just a RB, he played left back 70% of the season. Frimpong could be a great investment and is already a quality player. Flick likes to have rapid players who can run a lot, frimpong is just that. Flick also likes to play attacking football, frimpong is such a hansi flick player. Also if barca play a 3 back he’d fit as a wingback there. It shouldn’t be the first or even second priority but let’s not act like this wouldn’t be a quality signing.
