Climbing the Highest Peak in Northern Ireland

- The tallest peak in Northern Ireland, Slieve Donard in the Mourne Mountains. It was a bit more difficult than I anticipated rising only to 850m. The weather was amazing and the views were fantastic. To add to all of this, the Mourne Wall was something else: it took about 20 years to build and it wraps around Silent Valley Reservoir reaching 15 peaks along the way. It was originally built to keep wildlife and livestock out of the area in order to not contaminate the water (would a fence have done the same job?)
