David, a stunning day to be in the Mournes☀👍 Loved the sounds of the birds, the water, the sheep. A great approach along the river and a super perspective of the Devil's Coach Road from the air👍
David, I use Rycote micro windjammer which covers the microphone on my gopro and DSLR and works pretty well so that i can be heard in windy conditions.
Fantastic I lived right next to the mountains of mourn with my x wife I've been up there a few times thanks for sharing buddy 😊all the best from me in Birmingham
Hi David. I had the pleasure of hiking and camping in the Mournes recently. Part of the hike was up the Devil's coach road 🥵. It feels a bit longer than 150 metres 😂 . It's a bit hairy at the last section. It was my first visit to the Mournes and it was very enjoyable. Your drone footage shows it off well. Nice video. Take care 👍
Great suspense with the combination of music, ground and drone shots David 😮 Maybe someday I’ll have a go at it - not sure if I’d be able for it though!! You certainly got a great day for it!! 🎉
Brilliant production David, that is the most dramatic climb of the coachroad I have watched to date! 🙂 Really liked the use of the drone for the B roll shots, broke the video up nicely. Looked like it was a great day out too, hard to beat the Annalong river on a sunny day :-) ATB, Gary.
Done that route a few times didn’t find it that hard or hairy to be honest but I’ve hiked around the world in some rather bad conditions lol your video skills and editing are awesome it was a pleasure to watch your clip, if more videos where as decent as yours I would watch more 🤣
Cheers, thank you for your kind words. Yeah its not that bad, just the last part where it narrows, I had to make it look more dramatic for the video lol. I've done it 4-5 times now
Just done this again today, first time in 10yrs. 26th August 23. The last section was more tricky than I remembered unless it's me whose just got older and wider. Has this been graded as a scramble yet? .wondering on what it would be scored at.
Actually, to be fair as a drone operator, climber, and walker myself, that was actually pretty decent. The POI modes are super handy for stuff like this.
Cheers Jonathan, I didn't use any of the POI modes for this video, all done manually, I have been flying drones since 2014, my first drone was a DJI Phantom 2 Vision+ You might enjoy this drone video I made th-cam.com/video/sW3trS48Cj0/w-d-xo.html
RIP David Doyle
This is an awesome video, we have so much on our doorstep!

Thanks Gerry, I just need to get a mic for the talking parts, the wind noise ruins it a bit. Do you use a separate mic for your video?

Beautifully shot video. I'm hoping to do it soon, good to know what to expect.
Thanks, it’s just the very last part that’s difficult, it’s a tight squeeze

Hi Andrew, thank you for your comment. That last part is the worst, it's very tight and hard to find a footing. Cheers David

Fantastic video of a magical place, btw can you share the music?
Thank you. Can’t remember what the music was called, but it was from epidemic sound

That last part is tricky as it’s hard to get a footing. I think it’s graded as a grade 1 scramble
