sorry but, what? I get that he's a badass and he can probably push himself harder and longer than 99% of the people on planet earth, but it seems a bit silly to comment "pure brute discipline" on a video in which he attempts to burn 10,000 calories and barely gets 5,000.... pure brute discipline would have been 10,000. he did exactly what you would expect an undisciplined person might do. he went until it was too much. then he reluctantly went a bit further. then he quit. then he says he felt the same way this day as he did all of the 120 days he was in ranger school? not impressed. was actually shocked the ranger gave up.
@John Kelly It's a good question. And honestly the only I answer I have is it depends (as always) on what your goals are. If you're looking for power output then personally I've noticed I do better when I've had a good meal. I think the idea of working out fasted promotes mostly just getting lean.
Just found you yesterday and I’m so motivated. 2 days of running and I’m hoping to make it a habit so hopefully I can get through the next 45 days so it’ll be a fun activity and mental release.
Hi nick. I have problems with my weight since high school and watching your videos have pushed me to work harder to achieve my goals. You are an inspiration to me. Thank you. Good luck and god bless!!!
You know I can run at the speed of light for infinite miles. Bench 199 tons. Do 5864368655 pullups and dips with 6666666666pounds, can squat 6678542467975335678643 tons. And those are warmup set numbers. Nothing is impressive when it ain't real
Train , Train, and, Train They are feasible workouts for a absolute peak human to achieve. Almost none of the ones in comics are unrealistic at all, and your shitty attempt at making a point is just factually wrong, let alone, being unfunny
I get what you're thinking Nick. When I did a mid-distance march in my NCO school in the swiss army, my watch registered a little more than 2200 kcal. But it's the fasting that hits. It was about 25 km and 550 m of ascent (+700m descent), we had slept maybe two hours in the camp we'd set up, and only ate a few granola bars before starting. Even though it looks like a small march, the little sleep, the little calories we had eaten and the weight we had to carry made us suckin' after some km. It's not the amount of calories that you're burning, it's the mental state and the exterior factors that make you feel what you're feeling. Keep it up!
I know this is an old comment but as a regular dude from San Diego who grew up skating that just so happens to be currently training for the Olympic Trials I gotta say you're an absolute legend.
Nick and Preston's content is the bomb! Good work on those runs Nick! I doubt the other burn calorie challenges too now lol. You put it the work today lol
Awesome channel great content. I found your channel watching a channel I've been following for about 2 years @TeamRICHEY and realized one of my old soldiers was one of your old soldiers lol... small world, I was danny dearden's PSG in 3rd CR. I myself am getting out early next year and have been struggling to find what my motivation to stay fit is going to be after it's no longer a part of my job. I think its awesome that you've made a career out of fitness and thank you for giving me someone to relate to and hopefully some motivation not to get fat after I'm out!
I've finally found the first the first video I ever watched from Nick, and this was on January 1st, 2019. From then, I've started my own business, ran a few more marathons (including the Go One More marathon he and BPN put on), and have started my own TH-cam channel documenting my life, business and fitness journeys.
Amazing video. Realistic and honest. I guarantee you were close to 10K at the end of the day. Your BMR probably has you burning 2K just to stay alive. 💪🏽🔥 strong work. I'm inspired
Your body will burn many more calories in the hours after your workouts, when it’s in recovery mode- especially when sleeping. Maybe you were closer to 10,000 than you think!
You are an absolute beast.. And honest too.. A quality one doesn't get to see much.. Most others would have faked it and said they did get to 10k cal. However you had weights on for the second run which I guess the device doesn't capture.. Still being able to do what you did is freaking mind numbing.. I think I should give it a shot.. Cheers man.. You are an inspiration
@@RpMcMurphy_ Actually my garmin forerunner if anything underestimates calorie expenditure. Usually it's fairly spot on but thats just been my experience.

Still mad respect for the dedication that took, if only i had a the time to workout as much as he did

What watch are you wearing in the video? It's pretty badass
I normally always always have to speed up videos because its too slow...... Nick Talks at the speed that I like.
U burned more calories then the watch said because u were wearing weight and the watch wouldn’t have measured that.
Wouldn't the increased weight register as a higher heart rate, therefore the watch does measure it?
He can input his body weight, height, etc so he probably changed his body weight temporarily to compensate.
Also he's on fasted cardio
