@@WivesVsWorld I guess my question is: do you feel like there is a cultural difference between young trans peeps (< 35 yo) and those who transition later in life? I have only been exposed to older trans folks online and it seems like the added pressures of later adulthood (marriage, children, longer-term employment, etc.) causes a larger generational rift than I see in non-trans populations. Sorry I was vague before.
For the relationship part: i had a couple of relationships where in the beginning they thougt my female outer appearance is cool. But as it became more part of everyday life (and i have to explain that i am not a woman everyday to someone, and that will not change) they kinda grew annoyed or even aggressive to it. In the end i found it is better to be alone and accept myself than to be in a relationship with someone who only put up with your quirks rather than accepts or even love them.
Hard agree on the 'leap of faith' thing. I had two options, unalive or transition. I'm sure there are tons of different journeys that people have gone on and are going on, but I decided I couldn't not.
I have a few questions for you both, i hope you might answer. I'm new to your content, btw. I'm a late bloomer, just come out as a Lesbian. I'm drawn to masculine presenting women, but their body is every bit as gorgeous as any other woman. I genuinely hope people don't ask you the questions I've been asked lately. 'if you like butch women, why dont you just try to date a man?' I DID date a man once. I saw his attractiveness, but there was absolutely no connection, no matter how we tried. We've remained friends, but the intimacy just wasn't there, no matter how much he tried. Another thing is the roles. We get asked if Ky is the 'man' in our relationship? No , I am femme presenting, but we are equals. Ky is incredibly caring toward me, and me toward them. Ky is physically powerful, and I am getting there with that lol. At the beginning, Ky struggled to be ok with the male parts of who i am. She prefers me to be all femme. Have you had experiences like this at the beginning? DIR EN GREEEEEYYYYYYYYYYYY YEESSS i've been feeling strongly connected with Jackie's transition life experience 'cause for me it's been the same, with the BIG difference being that im from north of México and until 2 years ago I started my transition (after actually knowing since 2013 i was trans but not being able to express it for the fear of being disowned by my family), but seeing your videos and always being like "I FELT LIKE THAT!" and now a Dir en Grey mention??? There’s a trans group connected to LGBT+ Denmark that meet Friday evenings on weeks with odd numbers. Everyone participating can be as anonymous as they want and all information exchanged is confidential. The group meetings is run by volunteers. There may be similar groups/organisations near you.
Yay! Thanks for answering my question! It seems we have a lot of similar VK/Japanese Rock/metal favs, which is awesome! A few I really love are; Dir en Grey, the Gazette, Girugamesh, Kagrra, Kra, Luna Sea, Matenrou Opera, Nocturnal Bloodlust, Phantasmagoria, Vivid, X Japan, Moi Dix Mois, and many others of course. I would say my favorite overall though is lynch., and I absolutely love every album from them. Highest recommendation if you haven't listened to them before. Anyway, I got into all the VK/J-Rock/Metal stuff when I was 17/18 ('98/'99 time frame), and it became one of my preferred genres really quickly. I actually very much think that whole scene has had a big influence on my choice to finally transition. Anyway, great video, and btw, an entire video talking about this stuff would be pretty rad, too!
That's a great list right there - also a huge Phantasmagoria fan here, though Anya finds them a bit overwhelming 😂 Lynch is awesome - we listen to the Gallows album from time to time! ❤️ Me too, omg! Playing in a VK cover band was a huge part of my journey, as I got to play around with a more feminine aesthetic and blame it on the style 😂❤️

Thanks so much for your reply! You’re right, gel is said to be quiet good. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work well with my skin, since it’s not really taking up transdermal medicine :/ Pills seems to be the easiest but it’s not really common in Germany because of the trombosis risk. Gel, patches and injections are said to have less side effects. But if pills work for you, that is amazing! Unfortunately, it is super difficult to get injections in Germany because simply not enough people request it to make it a widely offered option. Ah, it’s just a struggle. Your videos help so much tho, it’s such a comfy atmosphere, I love that (and you two haha) :3 Greetings!
For me, a lot of attention-grabbing sounds, and even some ambient noise, hold equal weight in my mind, so they tend to get mixed up, eg. if I'm talking to someone, and some other sound is nearby (like traffic noise, or a baby crying), my concentration is split, and I miss what the conversation was about. Because of this, I don't really get into music with lyrics unless they're musically great, and even then, the lyrics often just drown out anyway. Let's be honest though, a LOT of popular songs are just the vocals ontop of the same repeating chords. It's boring. As a result, I don't follow music trends, or what artist is topping what chart. If I listen to anything, it's instrumental in nature, eg. classical, game soundtracks, etc., especially if I have an emotional attachment to it. Like a Dark Souls or Hollow Knight piece will remind me of the fight in the game, and the times I got wiped out by the enemy, or when I finally beat them. It becomes awkward whenever someone asks what music I''m into. I know that they're just making small talk, and are looking for some generic answer, but that's just not something that I can provide.

True, if a partner can't fully appreciate the person you are, it's best to not try to diminish yourself and just live your life ❤️

I feel listened, aknowledged, and part of something.

There’s a trans group connected to LGBT+ Denmark that meet Friday evenings on weeks with odd numbers. Everyone participating can be as anonymous as they want and all information exchanged is confidential. The group meetings is run by volunteers. There may be similar groups/organisations near you.

Yay! Thanks for answering my question! It seems we have a lot of similar VK/Japanese Rock/metal favs, which is awesome! A few I really love are; Dir en Grey, the Gazette, Girugamesh, Kagrra, Kra, Luna Sea, Matenrou Opera, Nocturnal Bloodlust, Phantasmagoria, Vivid, X Japan, Moi Dix Mois, and many others of course. I would say my favorite overall though is lynch., and I absolutely love every album from them. Highest recommendation if you haven't listened to them before. Anyway, I got into all the VK/J-Rock/Metal stuff when I was 17/18 ('98/'99 time frame), and it became one of my preferred genres really quickly. I actually very much think that whole scene has had a big influence on my choice to finally transition. Anyway, great video, and btw, an entire video talking about this stuff would be pretty rad, too!

You’re right, gel is said to be quiet good. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work well with my skin, since it’s not really taking up transdermal medicine :/
Pills seems to be the easiest but it’s not really common in Germany because of the trombosis risk.
Gel, patches and injections are said to have less side effects. But if pills work for you, that is amazing! Unfortunately, it is super difficult to get injections in Germany because simply not enough people request it to make it a widely offered option.
Ah, it’s just a struggle.

Im in a tran cis gay couple my boyfriend is gay and im bisexual
For me, a lot of attention-grabbing sounds, and even some ambient noise, hold equal weight in my mind, so they tend to get mixed up, eg. if I'm talking to someone, and some other sound is nearby (like traffic noise, or a baby crying), my concentration is split, and I miss what the conversation was about. Because of this, I don't really get into music with lyrics unless they're musically great, and even then, the lyrics often just drown out anyway. Let's be honest though, a LOT of popular songs are just the vocals ontop of the same repeating chords. It's boring. As a result, I don't follow music trends, or what artist is topping what chart. If I listen to anything, it's instrumental in nature, eg. classical, game soundtracks, etc., especially if I have an emotional attachment to it. Like a Dark Souls or Hollow Knight piece will remind me of the fight in the game, and the times I got wiped out by the enemy, or when I finally beat them.
It becomes awkward whenever someone asks what music I''m into. I know that they're just making small talk, and are looking for some generic answer, but that's just not something that I can provide.
That makes a lot of sense! And hahah yeah I can imagine that complicates the music question even further 😂
