This makes me so happy. It feels like I just walked into a production studio, and someone gave me all their gear. Getting this set up on my own would have taken forever
Thank you, and thanks for the sub! I also offer private lessons over Zoom if you're ever interested (in addition to production/mixing/mastering work) 🙌
I’ll working on a combination of pop and soul, maybe some RnB music. I’m sure I will need more help as I’m new at this. 😅 I could email you directly if you would prefer. Thanks for asking.
Hi@@CradleCat ! My goal is to go further on Logic to be able to finalize songs in clean demos. I will see if I go further after that (to fully produce or to work with a pro). My music style : indie/pop/rock , with voice, guitar, bass and synth tracks, in French; I will also explore adding other digital instruments (cello, brass, samples..); So I am at the stage of exploring basics in logic, but also in music production (gain staging, EQ, compression, etc.); voilà 😊
Good question, but I'm not quite sure what the minimum would be. If it helps, it works on my old backup laptop: 2016 Macbook Pro, 2.9 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7, 16 GB. Storage would just depend on how much you're storing on you laptop (I also use external hard drives for this with music production, so actual laptop storage isn't as critical)
Good day to you, can you show us how to tweek the sounds of logic pro stock electric guitars? All logic pro electric guitars are basically unuseable. I would love to find a good clean electric guitar in logic pro but i can't find a good one, please do a video on this.
Hey thanks for watching! I’ll have to play around with the Logic stock guitar sounds again, I’ve been using Native Instruments Guitar Rig recently. Do you mean the VST guitars (the midi instrument), or recording an electric direct in and then using the pedal/amp plugins on that audio?
Hey thank you for this template. Only problem I’m having is that my Audiofuse picks up the signal of my vocal, but it’s not detected by the lead vocal track at all. The guitar and MIDI keyboard works fine through the interface perfectly. Any ideas what I should do?
@@j.gregmorrison1953 for example, at 2:56, above the plugin strip, you'll see the text "Input". That's what you need to click on, and select your audio interface's Input 1 or 2 or wherever your mic is plugged in (as a mono input)
Thanks for creating this, however I am having problems opening it. It didn't seem to like the ._ at the start, so I had to rename it to unzip. Nethertheless, everything I try just says The file couldn’t be opened because it isn’t in the correct format. Do you have another link?
Hey thanks for checking it out! Weird - the file name should just be "Cradle Cat Template.zip", just double checked and it seemed to be working. I think I saw your email come in so I can send you another file if needed.
Do you mean the vocals being mono? It shouldn't! All the aux tracks w/ the effects are stereo. The idea is that the vocal itself is nice and centered mono, and then you add stereo width with the effects 🙌
@@CradleCat Thanks! Vocals, or anything really. I'm starting to try and keep as much stuff as I can in MONO, to help with better location and less-cluttered mixes.
Good question - depends what the loop is! In general, I would put a loop on it's own blank audio track and mix it from there. What you do to it depends on what the loop is (bass, guitar, synth, etc.), so you could use the plugins from the closest track for a starting point. For which group - I'd try to add it into whichever group fits best (bass loops in bass bus, drums in drum bus, etc.) Hope that helps!
I would add those to an audio track within the DRUM bus. The existing tracks in the DRUM bus in the template are just channels of Logic's Drum VST (meaning they're individual outputs for MIDI drum VST, and aren't where you want to drop audio loops) @@j.gregmorrison1953 hope that helps!
@@CradleCat Ok i think I follow. Is there any other guidance you can provide on other instruments that go with what bus? One that comes to mind is electric guitar. I don't think that is in your template.

Just subbed and sent for the templates. Excited to dig in! Thank you!
Thanks for the sub! 🙌 Just want to check - did you receive the template ok?
@@CradleCat Hi! I did -- haven't had a chance to dig in yet, but I did see it in my inbox. Thank you so much!!

Hi. I’ve been unable to replace Brooklyn Drums with Addictive Drums. Could you help? Thanks

Thanks! This will be useful! I wonder if using MONO tracks will cause any conflicts with the SEND 'verbs and delays/
Thanks :)

I’ve run into a problem. Other than one of the loop tracks, the rest of percussion loops are silent even though I can see the levels on each.
Found that my vocal track was muted. Why would this affect the other tracks?
Where is your routing set? I would check the output of the percussion tracks you can’t hear. If they’re going to a bus, that might be muted.
