    I learn so much from people having the courage to post their disasters lol. I have disasters and I like to learn what all can affect the outcome and create disasters so thank you for being transparent like that, I very much respect and value that.

    Ooh they came out wonderfully. In answer to your question, nope, not a coffee drinker, I'm actually allergic to coffee, so we don't even have it in the house. I do have one soap with coffee in my range, just the smell of the coffee when I make it makes me feel sick and I don't use a coffee fragrance in it, couldn't cope with your week of coffee smell in the house. So there's a weird thing for you :-)

      @WalnutCreekBathBoutique  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      oh gosh, that is a weird thing! I've not heard of anyone being allergic to coffee before - but I guess someone can be allergic to just about anything. I didn't start drinking it until I was about 35 - couldn't stand the stuff before then, now I'm full on addicted LOL. Now hot tea... I have really tried, but I just can't get myself to like it LOL, my husband will drink it (with lots of cream and sugar 😂)

    Ok first off I am a tea drinking person I do have coffee sometimes but not very often. Secondly I am sitting knitting and saying do it, do it, do it, put the embeds on I am so happy you did and no you did not put to many on your soap looks amazing as always. ❤️ We have not made a coffee soap yet I think we are too scared to try may be in a year or two we will try. And lastly take your computer with you it's a long trip and yes you can do a little work or you may not but at least you will have it with you just in case and you will not be going oh I wish I had brought it will me. I have been there before 😔😂

      Thanks! yeah, the tea - I have tried several times to like tea, not happening LOL - I didn't start drinking coffee until I was around 30-35 - and now I can't get enough of it! I'm also happy I put the embeds on it, they are really so cute!😊

    I'm a coffee addict. I started my business after falling in love with a coffee soap I made on a whim. I fell in LOVE with coffee soaps and have 1 in my line ALL the time. Usually I have 2-4 different types of coffee soaps going at once. Clearly by your mood in this video, you needed coffee! LOL I complain and whine a lot when I need a cup.

      YES! The doctor I work with has learned it's better for her in the long run to just wait for me when I go get my afternoon coffee - sorry patients, you have to wait for me to get my fix of caffeine before I can take you back to a room 😂😂😂

    They turned out amazing, that swirl is fantastic. I have that exact same coffee bean mould but I've given up making coffee soap, they always end up smelling funky 🤷‍♀️

    Did you use low sweat melt andpour? Also, put it in front a fan in front of it and allow themvto dry out next time. I wouldn't put a lid on it and run a fan. I live in the southern USA, it is very hot and humid here and mine doesn't do this. However, I run air at a constant 71 degrees. Maybe this will help you. Your coffee soap, it's nice! Glad the fragrance worked. I have a hard time keeping a fragrance staying. They usually fad to almost nothing at 6 weeks, because that's how long I cure. I use Brambleberry LCP melt and pour. I never get sweat!

      @WalnutCreekBathBoutique  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't think my melt and pour is low sweat - but I really never had much of a problem with it before, that is why I was wondering if it was getting old 🤷‍♀️. The fan is a good idea! And I may try the melt and pour next time I order it...if there is a next time 😆

    Get a small tabletop fan and point it towards the soap in a downward kind of way and it will get rid of that frosted look on the embeds.

    What did you use to color your embeds. I just ordered. The coffee bean mold for embeds. Now I’m not sure what to do. I do have m&p. Soap to make them with

    • @WalnutCreekBathBoutique
      @WalnutCreekBathBoutique  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      hello!! I just used simple brown mica to color my m&p soap - any brown should be good, maybe mixed with a tiny bit of black to deepen it if you need to. - hope that helps!

  • @cauldronhillcraftworks
    @cauldronhillcraftworks 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    From experience, the embeds need to be buried or they fall off. Although mine are CP and that might make a difference?

    • @WalnutCreekBathBoutique
      @WalnutCreekBathBoutique  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      so far they are holding well, but I did get them down in the soap pretty well!🤗

    Do you think you could add more grounds to the soap and make it more of a soap scrub? will the soap hold together well if it has more grounds in it?

    • @WalnutCreekBathBoutique
      @WalnutCreekBathBoutique  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I could, so coffee grounds are pretty abrasive, so you would run the risk of making it too scrubby. but def could add more than I did in this video. Or even add a pumice powder with it would really give a good scrub along with the grounds.

    I really need help with my soap makings because i dont understand the whole 20% when it comes to measurements/recipes... only oz's, cups, tsp, etc

    • @WalnutCreekBathBoutique
      @WalnutCreekBathBoutique  ปีที่แล้ว

      What exactly do you need help with? I don't remember what I was speaking.
      Usually a formula is based on percentages. Everything in a formula need to equal 100% when added all together. Most additives will be based on ounces of oils (5 % fragrance - 50 oz of oil = 2.5 oz of fragrance) or clay is usually 1 tsp per pound of oils. (I weigh clays so I just figured out how many ounces or grams my teaspoons equal and then add that weighed amount every time)
      Hope that is not confusing you more! 😆

    For the sweat I use an eco glitter to cover the “sweat look” although, I never cover the soap when I use M&P embeds. I use fresh brewed coffee but refrigerated or frozen to kill the smell

    • @WalnutCreekBathBoutique
      @WalnutCreekBathBoutique  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      ohhh - I didn't know that about refrigerating or freezing the coffee to kill the smell...genius!!! - I also didn't know not to cover the soap with the M&P embeds. Thank you so much! I feel very lucky that I have subscribers that are so willing to help me (and still being nice too haha). I learn from you all so much!💖💖💖

    What is td? Ima beginner

    • @WalnutCreekBathBoutique
      @WalnutCreekBathBoutique  ปีที่แล้ว

      oh sorry! TD is short for titanium dioxide - it is what a lot of soapers use to make soap more white. It is also a great thing to add to colored soap to lighten it up. It is not the easiest thing to work with though, you really have to prepare or it will cause white specs in your soap (don't ask me how I know this LOL)
