I currently use an 8 yo Canon iX6500, wide format. It has been the BEST printer, but the age is really starting to show. The thing that made me super happy was to see a Canon that has a rear sheet feed which is absolutely necessary for heavy photo paper and card stock. My question is how many sheets fit on the rear feeder and how heavy of a stock will it accept? Also, how is the handling of smaller papers? In my 6500, it doesn't always feed smaller papers through evenly, almost as if they 'drift' just a little as they go through because the paper guides are set to a wider paper which is frustrating. I use some very heavy stock in my oldie 100lb+ and it handles it perfectly. I love the way this looks, but get skittish when I think about letting it go for a new one.
I just bought on not sure what to do with it but I have been wanting a 12x12 printer for a long time. the price was below 150 so I jumped on it. Can I use this for regular printing too? And what else can I do with this.
Patricia Bakewell the ink lasted me a long time. I print a lot because I make planner stickers. But I love it, i think the best printer I have ever owned. I will never buy Epson ever again.
