    Treasure Signs and Symbols are the evolution of language, hieroglyphics, hand signs and natural observations put to inscriptions on wood, and stone. Common themes and figures can be seen across the many waters and cultures which show a connection. Understanding the basis for these things will begin to unlock many mysteries and possible discoveries. This is part one in this important series.

    I also got into this by an "old timer" with a collection to make you cry. Now that I'm older myself, all I want to do is chase his stories of Northern Utah/Wyoming/Colorado. I was lucky enough to see first hand his collection of Spanish armor and Indian artifacts. I have no idea what happened to all this after he and his wife died in the 90's.

    The ledger used was called a waybill and the Kings 5th was usually always stashed in the back of the first level of the mine behind a heavy stone or wood door then backfilled to hide the location....

    I agree. The symbols would be designed to make sense ONLY to those exact people. They were definitly not like "oh yeah, as long as youre spanish you can help yourself to our treasure cache, sounds good".

  • @rakkassan2187
    @rakkassan2187 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    The symbols are likely accurate, the map or directions to the mine was obscured. Love the video and info thanks for sharing your knowledge and time.. here in the San Luis Valley we are surrounded by fabulous tales of the spanish as well as those here before them.

      And maps made by the Spanish had to be understood by the next generations that might return..

    You are spot on in your interpretation of signs etc. have found several like as you have discribed. I have drawn my own knowledgeable interpretation of why I have found almost identical to your findings.

    What is the circle within a circle and a dot in the center mean?

    • @treasureexplorationandrese3712
      @treasureexplorationandrese3712  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      It depends on the location and situation. It can mean gold. It can signify a gold cache or it can mean a tunnel or cave. The symbols literally mean a hole or tunnel. When you add the dot or another circle in the center, it means a hole or tunnel with something held within.

    Best research on American petroglyphs is by Colonel Garrick Mallery (Mallory) who worked with and interviewed existing native tribes.

    Part of the problem is that most Americans I have met do not understand the Spanish and l later Mexican Laws. The laws were very specific and well known, there were no "secret" laws or codes for mining. There are multiple translations of Spanish Mining laws...the US mining laws were, in part, modeled off the Spanish mining laws. In particular the monumenting and recording of mining claims were required under Spanish law. The mine sites, at that time, were no more secret than are mining claims are today becasue if they were not monumented and recorded someone else could file and take you claim, just like in the US today. Miners would have complied with the law so that they did not loose their rights to mine the minerals. I suppose that many of the records regarding the locations of mines may be difficult to find and translate today. The taxes would have been turned over to the person who had been given a land grant over the area, who in turn would turn it over to the governor etc.. You must remember that it was the local land grantees that provided protection from bandits and indigenous raids so that the miners would not set up large operations without that protection. There are so many false myths about "spanish mining" that just need to be debunked, especially those about "secret" makings. You are correct that individual prospectors may have left marking so that they could return to the location later...but those would be up to the individual and proprietary so that other prospectors would not be able to follow them...once a mining claim was established there was no longer a need to keep the location secret because it was recorded and protected by law. see archive.org/details/acompilationspa00rockgoog/page/n11/mode/1up

    The mine owner contracted with the Spanish Crown to operate in Mexico, or beyond the Mexican northern frontier in today's USA. It was an expensive and dangerous proposition for the miners. The mine owner paid for the entire expedition and returned to Mexico with whatever bullion he could transport, paying the quinto fraction of what was brought back upon arriving home. The Crown was in no way going to pay for a second expensive and dangerous expedition backtracking to parts unknown where the the mine was in order to collect the King's payment. Therefore, there were no quinto caches left behind near the mine when mining ceased. It's possible the miners created unreported caches left near the mine to be collected later, but this is doubtful IMO. The carvings likely marked information leading to the mine itself, but not to caches.

      Most likely indicates the direction of travel in a series of glyphs or clues. Go up and to the left if there is a hill near by. Look for the next destination or clue in that direction if possible.

    What are your thoughtsabout large concentrations of glyphs like Three Rivers in southern New Mexico or the west Mesa of Albuquerque NM?

      @treasureexplorationandrese3712  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Long periods of continuous occupation with an unlimited canvas....and the type of rock has held the glyphs well. I think many sites were covered with glyphs but nature has erased many.

      @@treasureexplorationandrese3712 .... insightful. i just appreciate that you replied to his question and think you have helped water that seed of curious intuition that alot of us have regarding the true history of our country. Open minds require facts when lies have been used to disguise history and to hide so much more. So I for one, thank you sir, for giving myself and others a better place to focus ones energy these days. And for encouraging me to re-examine and re-learn historical facts, as we know them. There is a huge need now for untainted sources of information and recreation. So I now spend alot of my spare time digging for and researching historical accounts and scouring over maps of the period. .. Purely for the enjoyment and satisfaction of time well spent, rather than willingly allowing myself to be exposed to ,and coerced by, what is being pushed by media as newsworthy when every illusion of choice they provide is dystopic in intent. The un-observant think its just all harmless entertainment but the intuative and attentive know it is all controlled by the occultists and filled with their lies.. So God bless you for that man. God bless you and yours.. and your works.. my fellow researcher and adventurer. As i truly think they are more valuable to your fellow man right now, than you even realize.

    That is an interesting interpretation of the cat face symbol. However, I have to disagree with you. The specific symbol you've shown here carved into the tree is my grandfather's signature mark. He was a trapper and a treasure seeker. It isn't a curse at all. Please reach out if you'd like to know more about this particular marking.

      I am aware that Sheril Atwood made some catface symbols, I have talked to many guys from the Basin and have spent a lot of time there myself. I also know there are older, origional cat-face symbols that were not made by Sheril but made by the Spanish and Portuguese that was designed as a curse from the Portuguese to protect treasures and mines. There are several books about it. This symbol is found all across the West, Arizona, New Mexico and even in Mexico. Here is one of the books that mentions this curse, if you are interested in further information. El Libro Magico De San Cipriano It is available at Amazon. I think Sheril must have saw one of the origional symbols and adopted it without really knowing what it meant.
