She plays it marvellously. Wished I could have seen her live on stage. But the corps de ballet reacts totally static. With those gestures without any meaning changing their poses from tendu croisé to tendu effacé the whole time.
Polina aka the no emotion ballerina. This is probably the worst mad scene I’ve ever seen. She just can’t act I’m sorry, her face in every performance I’ve seen is completely blank. She never seems to just immerse herself into the character or take time to contemplate it, which also makes her movement a bit masculine as a result. And it’s such a shame because she has great techniques as a dancer and is a prodigy.
