The second movie came out in 2007(I was about to start 8th grade back then) The third movie came out in 2008(I just started High School back then)

I always assumed that they officially got together and he asked her to be his girlfriend after HSM 1 and during the rest of the school year before HSM 2. Also, I just assumed he asked her to be his girlfriend off screen and we didn't see it because they wanted the fans to know that they were going to eventually get together because of all the flirting they did in HSM 1.
