Would heartily recommend the 93:30 pod - even if it's just for the Friday Show (which is free and really good!) give it a go. I'm quietly looking forward to a rejuvenation of the squad; I really don't want to go down the same route Utd did when Fergie left, when he left behind an aging squad that Moyes had no chance with. If we can revitalise now (perfect opportunity having won the league 4 years in a row), get money in for aging/want-away players, promote some youth, and get in some new players that help provide competition (and let Rodri get a well-deserved break!) then brilliant
Rodri would be one of the best 8s in the league if he played there. A player like Wharton could come in and play tons of minutes WITH Rodri. Would love that signing - but I’m most excited for Rico Lewis this summer because I think he could play a good amount of minutes in midfield.
I'm 100% with you on Wharton. He would cover the position and greatly strengthen the all important central midfield three. (Incidentally, nobody ever asks HOW Rodri became SO vital? Mainly because those ahead of him are not the barrier we once had).
Always & always a pleasure to see/listen to you two...why no mention of Fabien Ruiz for Rodri's ready-made partner at City??! Only 26 & could give PSG cancello or phillips. So there 😮 🔝
I’ve losing confidence in the City board after their poor transfer strategy last summer and how it’s panning out so far this summer. From panic buys to letting key players walk over small money and not bringing in suitable replacement to dismissing Rodri’s pleas last summer to nothing on a proper cover for him so far this summer. The answer to a lot of our problems is £30-40m in Kimmich and yet we’ve done nothing about. He’s the closet thing to a Gundo replacement that were ever gonna find for the fee and he solves the most important issue facing our team: Rodri cover. If City let Kimmich pass by and go to another PL team and we go another season with no suitable Rodri cover, I don’t see how anyone could still say they haven’t lost any confidence in the board.
(1) KDB not going for 100M to KSA - whether fair or not Salah is different type of opportunity for KSA and he does not have the same injury issues as KDB lately. (2) Rico and Kovacic does not get the same results as when Rodri starts against weaker teams, Rodri has to start most games since he is the best in the world. But Pep needs to find a way to take him off after 60-70 minutes, but the trouble was KP would create panic stations for the last 20 minutes so it was not an option. (3) Nunes is not a panic buy, he is still young and was down the list after JB and Rice fell through, he has talent and was better to have him in last year ain case of injuries as KP was not reliable for Pep. Lets see what Nunes does in his second season after working with Pep some more.
We as city fans need to educate on the truth about what is going on, most football fans just repeat what they hear on talk sport and some very anti city podcasts. They never mention that city's mega rich owners had to sell 15 percent of the club to Chinese investors for 250 million, and this is the money that built the training complex and academy that has been a wonderful success, it also helped us building the best south American scouting system that has been a massive success, plus it helped us invest in other clubs, I bet no one knows about this.
Agreed on both points. Love these collabs, but the interrupting is frustrating. Even if it is a convo between mates, you should let your mate finish his thought. And on top of that, it's a convo being watched by lots of people eager to hear your guest's thoughts too. I think we're trying to offer some constructive criticism, which is difficult thru a youtube comment. Take it or leave it, but it is an issue some of your audience is noticing.
@EsteemedKompany why do you always get so defensive when this is brought up? It's been an issue of yours since you started this channel and was hoping you would've improved by now! This is really valid feedback please try to get better at not interrupting your guests.

Ahsan is so so better than 90% of football youtubers.
Steve spot on with the caliber of player we need. A starter for number 8 and someone who can be a backup for the 6! Spot on

Ederson should go Hats off he did his bit but we need a goal keeper more flexible between the post especially when it comes to penalties

What about giving Maximo Perrone a chance?
He's already our player, looks good on the ball and his stats were good last season.
We will struggle without Ederson. He is a big part of the way we play. We are not as fluid without him and less confident with the ball at the back.
Just on hols and met two ardent Blackburn Rovers fans that are still not over losing Adam Wharton….

Nothing happens u til euros finished . That’s always the case . None of the other teams in Europe did anything of substance yet .
Why not work with Rico on strengthening and keep Perrone. Perrone did solid last year and let him mold into a Rodri backup.
Totally agree, Max's stats were the best in Europe in his age bracket
@@stukay1005 No reason to not try him there. Can’t do worse than Phillips. If Nunes doesn’t move, think he sits the bench or does he have a role?
We should be getting Kimmich

Plus talk sport is owned by a American company called news Corp, that's why they never talk about the Americans taking money out of the league.
I'm so tired of listening to half wits like that true gordie demanding that city should be kicked out of the football league.
I love these collabs but today was one of the most frustrating. Let your guest talk! Let him finish a thought before you jump in with your tangents! 🤪

I think Rico Lewis will be the DM with rodri this year, rodri won't play any cup games and some of champions league games.
Lewis is perfect for that position, he holds the ball, and he's great at breaking down play.
Why not Rabiot?
We should buy Warton and leave him with Palace for a season, plus they want bobb on loan. I think this might bring the price down.
I can't believe that Bobb leaves, even on loan. He's a great prospect and needs to be playing for us.
Wharton is city quality
Eddie just playing poker with txiki hopefully we offer him a suitable new contract.
Rico needs to hit the gym if he’s gonna play DM. A bit of physicality is needed in the middle of the park.
Olise for £45 million was way cheap surprised no prem team pulled the trigger
highly unlikely
We need a squad that competes with real Madrid and at the moment I think we are falling behind, we need a couple of players that everyone wants?
