I dont know if it was shown in the tutorial or not but how do you make it so that when an object passes through, the object's outline is shown in the barrier?
For whatever reason the border of my barrier is not glowing like yours is. I've added bloom as well but i cant get the intense glowing effect, anyone have this same issue?

if i use white outline with transparent background around the barrier it does not work but if i use black background instead of transparent it works. do you know why?
Gread video! I had an issue, i followed everything step by step but when i use the texture of the border , the shield continues white. I'm using Unity 2021.3.9
Could be a few things. Maybe adjust the color, or maybe don't forget to connect to the alpha input of the shader, or try to switch the blending mode from Additive to Alpha Blended for example.
@@GabrielAguiarProd I have same issue, I went through the tutorial 3 times but still same problem. If I connect node from border automatically barrier use color of barrier from border and If I add mask texture, nothing change. Still same. Changing blending mode etc with no effect. And I using lastest 2019 unity version

When i build the game on macOS, this barrier is not visible at all. Any idea how to fix it ?
If you are using the VFX Graph version, it might not work on mobiles. Currently VFX Graph has limitations on low-end platforms such as mobiles.

Because of the Blending mode, depends if it is in Additive or Alpha Blended. Additive doesn't render black colors while the latter does.

Had the same problem, my fix was to take the alpha from the sample texture 2d instead of the RGBA
