We had the most wonderful yom tov (holiday) over the weekend!!! Passover continues for the rest of this week so stay tuned for more Passover content coming up Thursday!!! Did you go to a seder or host a seder this year? I would love to hear about it!

Our seders are in Yiddish mostly, except for the brachas. We ask the 4 questions in Hebrew, Yiddish, and a different 3rd language every year. Last year was Mohawk.

I’m not Jewish, but for whatever reason, was fascinated about the plagues and memorized them. It was amazing how you present them for your Seder meal. I’m constantly impressed with your traditions and how exciting you present everything to your children. I’m new to the channel but have binge watched episodes of your conversion and some of the high holidays. I babysat for a Jewish family at 17 years old. I don’t believe they were orthodox from what I’ve learned from you. I’m 70 now, it’s never too late to learn. 🙂

Hi Chana: As a Christian who celebrates Easter, I must tell you..I love Passover! Always have, ever since I first learned about it. The symbolism, the tradition; I think it's beautiful. As always, you did an amazing job, and, I know how much work it is from my Jewish friends. You and your husband look wonderful. Many blessings to you and your lovely family during Pesach and always. Thank you for sharing; this was wonderful. Rosemarie 💖

Thank you for sharing your Passover prep. I’m watching this again this year, knowing that your Passover is coming up soon. As a mom and a teacher, I so much appreciate how you make the important holiday accessible for your children with them preparing their own books to follow the Seder and with the plague bags to bring understanding to those. It just happens that I’m reading the Catholic book of Wisdom in our Old Testament during my morning meditation time and part of it deals with five of the ten plagues.

Hi Chana! I have so much ❤️ for this video! Thank you for sharing all the things you do in preparation for Passover. You and your husband are doing a beautiful job of teaching your children about G-d. Not sure if you know, but the Seder is what we, as Christians, call a “type and shadow” of our Salvation. I didn’t know this until a couple years ago when I watched a Seder on PragerU and he explained it beautifully. Yes, our beliefs are different, yet so much alike! I’m pretty sure this is my favorite of all your videos. See you Thursday!

As a Catholic, I find the way you guys celebrate Passover interesting. For Easter, fun fact: Easter and Passover fall around the same time, I stay up all night, similar to you guys, and read scripture and sing songs that tell about the history of Israel and their journey with God. Then, afterwards I go out and have a huge dinner with friends and family. It's fun!!!

Hey Chana! I can't believe I missed one of your videos! I thought you just hadn't posted on Monday due to the holiday. As it turns out, YT decided to not give me the notification... On the other hand, I had two new Jar of Fireflies videos (and longer ones too 🎉) in one day, so I have nothing to complain about 😎 you both looked lovely! I have to say, Passover sounds like a great, but logistically complicated holiday. I would need a separate list to manage all my pre-Passover to do lists ;) I'm sure all that hard work is worth it and all 8 days of holiday are a great way to rest and relax after all that prep :) Have a lovely day!! :)

Oh, the child head butt! Been there, done that. They always happen right before something important and they always leave a mark so you look like you've been in a brawl. And I have to say, you and the hubs look wonderful in your outfits! It's also good t hat you have photos of the two of you together; your kids will treasure them one day.

Hi Chana, this was a great video, gorgeous picture of you and hubby, I didn’t know about all ten plagues so learned something new and how you celebrated each one by putting each in a bag to distribute. You always make me smile watching your channel, love all your presentation and facial expressions 💐🤗

I spent my Friday in a very similar state lol. I cleaned my whole kitchen top to bottom and made SO much food and then hosted my seder, and i was absolutely exhausted at the end of the day!

You and your husband look amazing! I love both outfits. I laughed at the music you used to accompany the kitchen scene. I love that you and your children made books on their level for the service during the meal. And making plague bags to make them tangible for the children is brilliant.
Loved learning more about your faith and traditions today.
    Blessings!

Hi Chana, we were in Los Angeles all last week. My DIL is the head designer for an interactive kids Toy store. So much decorating.I forgot my plug for my I pad. We stayed at an Airbnb. There was a note on a kitchen counter saying”people leave their cords and plugs here, feel free to see is anything will work for your equipment. Please used out back . Perfect, but the kids wanted me to sit at the table with them. So I did every night for about an hour
