So, I read on wiki, Prince Dadian was Barnes' student, Barnes record against Morphy was 9 Wins and 19 loses. When Morphy came to Europe, Dadian was only 8 years old. So, I was wondering why didn't he challenge Morphy.
maybe because morphy wouldn't go against a child and be defeated for he was a world champ that time.. i don't know, even kasparov gets upset after a tough game against a carlsen when he was just a kid...
@@kupyochannel4861 But, also from the same source, P. Dadian met Barnes in 1864, Morphy's tour was in 1858, which also the time when Morphy met Barnes. With this, I assume, some of Morphy's technique had been broadly studied by chess enthusiasts across Europe. So, yes, maybe , just maybe, P. Dadian had some probability in defeating Morphy. But, according to what I know, Morphy's target was Howard Staunton. As Staunton rejected his challenge, Morphy later described as surrendered his interest in chess and became a lawyer or had a job in law field.
@@Into-The-Light as you can see, there's an opening called morphy's defence and staunton's gambit, that is why maybe morphy targeted Staunton coz he prepared something against that foe, but i never heard of DADIAN'S GAMBIT OR DEFENCE, a simple logical reason why morphy had no interest on playing against prince Dadian, he will gain nithing from defeating him, except that he crushed a young prince in chess..
@@Into-The-Light even you sir, you would still go against a matured opponent rather than a child, even if that child is the world champ, you gain nothing, it's like crushing him by experience, not a smart thing to be proud of. it's just one of my wildest guess, i dont know.. maybe
@@kupyochannel4861 Well, that I can agree upon, since Morphy didn't pursue the money, he wanted a declaration, who was the best. Well then, now, our vast knowledge have been increased with today's discussion, LoL, thanks.
Not bad for a prince! Hey Mato, how's Buddy doing these days? Hopefully well. Bobby Fisher, played Bishop Gambit, in which he was the best. God bless 🙏 nakama Shalom
i always loved your videos since i saw them on youtube 8 years ago, i just didn't know how to create a youtube account that's why i can't even hit the like button nor make a comment. i salute you sir, i admired your passion for chess. when you said you quit chess to become a blackbelt, and then get back to chess again and defeated some titled players, sir, wow!! you are awesome. you deserve compliments and prize.. keep going sir.
@Oissev Onos oh thank you very much for your response! I'll be sure to watch those games, as I find those queen tradeoffs very interesting. Nice day to you too!
Real name Prince Andria Davidis dze Dadiani of Samegrelo. A Georgian noble in the Russian Empire (Georgia was a province in the Russian Empire back then).
You know Mato, if you want to use the English version of Prince Dadiani's name as you told me before, then you should call him Andrew, not Andrey. It doesn't make sense to Anglicize his surname but not his given name. As a matter of fact, it doesn't really make sense to change his surname either.
I read in Wikipedia about Dadian. Little information. Accuse of publishing his victories and hiding defeats.Accused of falsifiying his briliancies. Controversial guy . Who cares. Whether real or not the games are fun.
Hi, Mato, after spend my time in prison 1 and a half year, now I'm free I check out your videos TH-cam. Its a nice feeling. It's like I'm home again.
I think I played 1000 Kings gambit games and still new combinations appear
I love Prince Dadian's brazen attacking style. Excellent video Mato!
It looks like every game of Prince Dadian is a work of art.
juts those presented by mato, i am sure the noble prince has had his share of not so great games
Loving the Prince Dadian vids lately. Thanks Mato!
Well played!
King's Gambit Delight sounds like a dessert item. Yet, it's just as sweet.
you are the best mato. thanks
thank you mato. much love
Dadian dances with the pieces.
I think Prince Dadian knows he'll win as soon as his opponent accepts the kings gambit.
But today it's not safe to play KINGS GAMBIT against strong opponents..
@@katlehorasebitse7720 I guess we're all fortunate that Prince Dadian was playing chess 120 years ago, then!
@@simon_patterson yes..I guess mato can review newer chess games.. Because this one I can't really learn much from..

Hi Mato from Modbury
Hi Joey!
White's d4 pawn was poisoned. Maybe semi-poisoned
No reverse gear Dadian.😎

Andria Dadiani is the Georgian (his native) spelling.
Quality of play on high levels
Why didn't the queen take the knight on f6?
Nevermind. The rook.

Maryja love you
When Mato said, "This looks scary now." he sounded a little like Count Floyd (SCTV).
and where is Tiflis? Tiflis is the capital city of Georgia!
I'm beginning to think that Prince Dadian did not play chess at all... I think he just payed some chess expert (!?) to compose these games for him...
So easy.....so pleasent
