Sometimes the camera is such a distraction!. You don't realize the level of concentration you use trying to find "the pattern" until you're distracted. But, you're right it takes passion to get skunked and come back for more.
The FWC used to stock Newnan's Lake with Sunshine Bass, I caught a few by the southside ramp. After great rains, the water would rush into a stream that went under the bridge; they're a cross-species of Striped and White bass, so I guess they liked the turbulent water like the Stripers do.
Derrick Caban I didn't know that. I have caught some pretty nice Sunshine bass in Lake Santa Fe. they make for a really nice fight. I'll have to try some deeper water at newnan's and see...
There's a lot of fish in Newnan's , There's bass & some huge crappie in there . l lived in Gainesville Fl for 2 years & that was 1 of my favorite spots. l would go in off 441 & fish near the dock.
Well there I was thinking I could go there for the first time and make a worthwhile video...but I don't think its as stingy as lake Santa Fe...Lake Skunka Fe as I call it.
@@EngineeredAngler i just in the last month figured out how to get them on santa fe. it's for sure a hard lake to crack! did i see you on the north end of newnans last week?
Grew up fishing that lake i have caught my limit from there many times. Next time try hatchet creek! You mayhave better luck there or palm point! Good for specks and sunshine bass!
Lots of gators, too many gators... too many too big. The planes are flying into Gainesville regional airport witch is just a few miles north of the lake.
“Hadn’t had a bite....Everybody’s leaving, hard for me to leave without a bite!” Love it! You either have the passion or you dont😎

@@EngineeredAngler, I think they like the fast currents more than still water. People catch actual striped bass on the Ocklawaha River, by Rodman Dam.

I'm glad you shared that, I'll have to check out the dock next time
that's the lake i grew up on and it's still one of the hardest lake around here to even get a bite. but when it's on it's on!
