Good job man. I have won 4 Tx out of lochloosa and finished in the money over 6 times.. One of my better lakes for sure.. Now santa fe is a tough lake but there are some toads there. This time of year i would throw a trap in the run between little santa fe and big santa fe. When the sun gets up good i would start flippin the grass. Also pitch a senko around the docks in june bug or red shad around the docks it has caught me a limit when nothing else would.. good luck man and tight lines
Vindicated!!! Took my 11 Y.O. son out for his first time on the water this morning from Lochloosa Harbor with a rented row boat. I haven't fished hardly at all in 20+ yrs. I used a red shad culprit all morning. We didn't catch anything, but had the feeling I should have anchored out from the pads in slightly deeper water on the sand bottom, not the mud closer to shore. I'll be showing him this video after school tomorrow!!! Not many vids about Lochloosa. Man, I need a boat!!!!

it`s later in the year now and hotter water, so I would think the fish have moved out to deeper water, find hydrilla in the morning and use a devil horse if ya have one, once the sun gets up try to find some deeper grass and swim a chatter bait or a vibe tail worm through it, good luck!!

I fished lochloosa once in a tournament and finished 2nd also . It was the only time I ever fished it although I had fished Orange a few times…
