Awesome tutorial, thanks danny! Tip to anyone trying this, pickup some intelligence elixirs, they are cheap and last 1hr! Made this farm very easy! Made 400g in 3 days with only one note worthy drop worth 55g. Also a travelers bag not included in profits!
@@sheeshmate597 on top of the fallen pillar is a safe spot but you can't loot the book while in combat.You have to wait until the big lasher is out of aggro range to loot it.
This video is pretty spot on, have done this farm since release with herbing, and i average a bit over 45g/hour as a holy priest. i buy some mage water before the run (9 stacks last me 3 hours and full bags). and i take an extra 2min break between runs so i dont reach the instance limit. I used a greater interllect elixir before i had enough mana, and that worked pretty well.
I've been running this with: 2 set Devout, 2 Set Magisters, 2 set Dreadmist for +600 armor. Full armor kit + armor enchants. Consumables: Tuber int buff, Elixir of Superior Defense, Elixir of Greater Intellect. Brings me up to 7k mana, and allows me to double pull consistently without any cooldowns. Raid spec'd holy, 10 minute runs even when gathering herbs.
Thanks for the guide, you can also backpedal diagonally along a couple of the walls and if you do it at the right speed the lashers don't hit you. I don't personally like doing this because it moves your camera and makes it easier to accidentally pull elites. May be helpful for people who are not so geared though.
Thanks Danny, great guide. I've done this run around 30 times so far and only found 2 books, both gray worth nothing. Farming a ton of herbs but still haven't dropped anything to boost my farm. Any other priest farming spots you suggest?

You can do this pre level 60 aswell and farm lots of gold while leveling, you will rely more on cooldowns, but beacuse of lockouts, you wont be more inneficent than anyone else really. IF you stack int stam gear at like level 55, or 56 you can still do this.

Hello! I came across this video after watching the advanced guide and I think it's a great starting point! Just a couple of questions: how much spell power do you have in this video and what advice to get gear could you give to someone who has little to no chance of raiding before TBC hits?
With good enough gear u dont need any buffs invluding the armor so i wouldnt put talents in it. Intellect is definitely the most important. Definitely need 6k+ mana if u plan on not using any cds
You log out of your main and log into bank alt that is in a group with you, after 2 minutes the leader will pass to alt and you can reset, after that you log back into your main and it will be back at the front of a reset instance.
Does Holy Novas damage only benefit from spell damage and its heal from +heal? So, separate calculation or is it just +damage/ heal? He was using Anema not Benediction, that prompted my question.

If you dont have a very big mana pool... try farm blade of eternal darkness in mara. With that dagger i get about 400-900 mana back in procs every pack i pull. It seems to proc alot on holy nova aoe
This is exactly what I did after watching your comment. Thing is, farming the dagger is actually a viable methods, as you will also make abour 30g/hour soloing princess runs while doing this. Thanks for the tip!
Farming blade will take 100 hours if you're lucky, more if not. If you're really farming blade, you should be selling the ring to make it worth. Problem is, with DM out, the ring is now only bis for ... warriors ? Maybe not even anymore with AV. And idk if there's any good method for killing princess solo, but personally the only way I found was kiting her with a dot, and even just doing that was pretty hard, especially without the extra range from the shadow tree. Doing it like this, it took like 6+ minutes to kill her ... Anyway, just don't farm blade. It's great for aoe grinding, it also has fun applications with mind vision, but it's definitely not worth it. 100-300 hours is just ... no. Edit : if you've got double gathering, then maybe it can be semi-worth for the gph on top of it, but how many priests have double gathering ?
Danny, could you link the talent build for this again please. Also, curious, if you might have any ideas where to one could go for a lvl 46 priest to grind for gold? Great video!!
Holy nova, 10% max mana, 10% reduced cost for instants, Inner Focus, Power Infusion, imp fort, those are the basics. You can also get imp shield, imp inner fire, 5% spell damage/crit, 5% crit
Nice guide dude, very well explained :) Do you think two lower geared players could do this together and split the gold and get good results? My IRL best friend is a frost mage and I am a disc priest, but we don't have the gear to solo this sort of farm yet.
I've tried as level 55 and it is pretty brutal, can clear the first 4 packs using both PI/IF cooldowns for every pull, sometimes need low level mana pot to get 1 last nova off. But I haven't figured out a good route to get the rest of the packs, aggro range is too large at 55
I habe Tested it. I was only Abel to kill a Single group because of to less amount of mana. From that group I got only a single heart of the wild. Do I miss something or did Blizzard changed the loot of that mobs? Killing them for only a single item per group seems not worth the effort. Especially because I would have to farm intellect-equip for having enough mana.
Max Power I finally made it to 3k Stam and 6k int and was able to do single pulls. After a rocky start getting it down, I got it down to 11 min runs consistently and I made 100g in about 3 hours and i didn’t AH any items.
That’s the easiest way of farming. I got two epics and one foror sold 960 gold immediately. Totally I got around 3000 golds. By the way I am a mage, I do the laziest way like this 45 minuets five run.
6750 mana is what you need. 10 Holy novas = 6750 Mana so thats the mana you sohuld aim to have but having above that is good aswell. but if u have 6750 mana you wont have to use p infusion and inner focus on the double pull. Jsut a tip for those trying.
@@rickryan5320 No - but there are 2 possible spots next to them. you don't even need to kill any mob at all to get the books. But there is only 1 book every 4th / 5th run + only 10% chance to have a blue book inside. Just got my priest book like 20min ago :) Still doing this ;D
Look on the AH for green intellect gear for level 50+. Also buy Elixir of Greater Intellect if they aren't very expensive and you should be able to get that mana up to 6k and farm at least 1 pack at a time till you get t1/t2 gear. Aim for intellect gear not spell dmg.
It was never nerfed. The current droprates, elite positions, and the patrol movement speeds are exactly how it was back in vanilla. This was confirmed a day after DM release by Blizzard because people kept comparing the current DM to the way it was in private servers which had flat out wrong rates and spawns.
Yes you can. You need to have like 6500+ mana and always use inner focus on CD. Also try to look for Dusty tomes on ground for real. I found Epic book in it and sold it for 750g and already have my epic mount after one day of DME farm :D lmao

The backstab ability you mention actually isn't a backstab, it's Lash of Pain, an instant-cast ability that deals shadow damage, same thing the Succubus pet has. Backing up won't do anything, but Shadow Protection should.
Wrong, it's called lash of pain, sure, but it's still a backstab. As in, mobs can only use it when they're in your back. So, back to the wall, or tap the S key.
For 30 30 holy build priest, 3500hp and 6500 mana is the requirement for an all single pull run. But remember that the dropping seems to be readjusted, the farming is not that quick anymore
About 40 gold per hour, thats pretty shitty, u need 900 for mount so its 23 hours of raw farming, hydra posted 70 per hour it seems better, can u try it?

Immolation pots will help speed your grind up if you need that extra kick and dont want to down rank.

Why are you using Anathema? That doesn't help at all on this run bc it's only +shadow dmg. Benediction gives you crit and heal on your holy nova.
maybe he's doing it for the MP5, mana gain is more important than depending on crits and holy nova is gonna heal him in full regardless
he might have just forgotten about it, I doubt he actually used Anathema on actual runs that we didn't see.

Could you explain how to exit the instance once the run is complete? Do i get teleported out when I add my bank alt and he resets the instance?

Have an alt invited to group as lead. Log out your main, reset with alt, log back in your main and you are back to the entrance of the dungeon

With about 5400 mana i still manage to have like 700 mana left after every pack cause of the dagger :)

The coefficient on holy nova is like 10% so it shouldn't make a huge difference. Just get as much mana as possible

The part to reset it seems pretty inconvenient. Would it take much longer to just take off your gear, die, and run back to the instance?
They take about the same amount of time, the only difference is the amount of effort required.

i think one holy nova rank lower than the max is more mana efficient. More damage/mana (i don't remember the exact level)
my only worry with this would be not healing enough to prevent dying to the damage, at least with my crappy gear

Just jump and at the last moment use Levitate. You don't need to waste mana to heal after that.

Another tip. Skip packs each run, so you can do 5 runs/ 1h. Bigger chance for books.
Someone in my guild got a freezing band on his first pull. So lucky.

I only have 4500 mana with my best gear including discipline talents so no idea how to farm as holy priest. I knew I should have levelled my mage.
Look on the AH for green intellect gear for level 50+. Also buy Elixir of Greater Intellect if they aren't very expensive and you should be able to get that mana up to 6k and farm at least 1 pack at a time till you get t1/t2 gear. Aim for intellect gear not spell dmg.

Maraudon is 50g an hour. More if combined with gathering professions.
