The first time i used her, i hated her. Like i thought that it was a normal adc to auto attack and just clickin my mouse. I didn't know about the charged auto or her q auto, i have never hated a champ like this before. Then i went out for some guides and now i love her, every day a discover so much new stuff about her. It's insane on how many things she can do, and her mobility as an adc is so usefull

Pretty interesting guide! There are so many interesing points that I have as an emerald Zeri (hopefully dia next split or even this if I played more than 8 ranked games xdd), hope to get some answers) The first thing is: why conq isn't even mentioned? In my experience, I also found LT lackluster as it almost always stacks too late and provides little dmg, PtA works great into semi tanky teams (champs with a lot of dmg mitigations and not that much max hp, like bruisers or some resistance based tanks like K'sante or Rammus maybe). Conq is a MUCH more situational, but low dmg very tanky comps (tanks in topside with engage supp for example) conq works great, stacks quite fast (with Q aa) with pretty comparable dmg to PtA with some lifesteal (works even better with resolve and peel supp). HoB sounds great, but I'm an avid hater since my Kai'sa main phase xd. W max on the other hand seems pretty interesting, will definitely try that. Another question is why so hard on Yuntal? I saw you mention that every other crit item outside of ie ldr runaans is bad and I agree, that why new Yuntal feels really good personally. I prefer it over statikk for better scaling sacrificing a little bit of early power and if I can afford BF sword during my first or second back, I go Yuntal and if not, statikk it is (it is pretty strong and I like it, don't get me wrong, but 75% crit on 3 items feels so good). Also, would you consider botrk instead of BT into tanky teams AND one of the tanks is HP stacker?
i dont mention conq bc i wanted to keep this guide as short as possible while still talking about things i felt were the most important/had most value or even the most misunderstood to clarify for other people; such as lethal tempo since i explain why its not as great as people think. conq isnt bad, and its def a consistent rune but i like pta better as its faster to proc and deal dmg. in terms of dmg comparison yea conq isnt far, but keep in mind that flat AD increase compared to % dmg increase is different when you crunch the numbers like how much armor the enemy has, etc. in terms of HOB, way it works on zeri vs other marksmen is different as well not including the early game so i'd imagine your experience with this will be better(hopefully). to each their own though now on the topic of yuntal - its not that im being harsh on the item, its more of the fact that its outclassed by statikk and ie as 1st and 2nd inslot item for zeri. statikk being 2700g and providing all those stats and dmg, it increases your tempo whereas yuntal still requires maybe 5-8 minutes to fully stack before receiving maximum value on that item. now for 2nd slot item, IE is just a big dmg amp item that delaying it doesnt feel great. at this point we now need other items for synergy or for necessities such as LDR/mortal reminder if enemy team is tanky and runaans with zeri is just too good to skip out on. also no i would never consider bork as zeri is just terrible with on-hit. bork itself is also not a great item for adcs at all. the passive is nice yes but 5% of current HP is only nice if they continue to stay at a high hp. going BT you have +40 AD difference from bork, and with zeri's scalings you'd just do more damage with that. if i HAD to build it, then it would be my boot replacement as a 6th item
@junniseoul thanks for the answer, appreciate it. I understand that conq gives flat AD, but it is still a pretty solid amount, gives value as you stack it, while PtA works only after proc and LT is VERY underwhelming after lvl 3 or so, but honestly I mostly use PtA. I'll try HoB, maybe it'll grow on me. Statikk is definitely BiS 1st item and is a better tempo item, especially considering how expensive IE is, I should try it more honestly, but still 75% on 3 items still sounds too good lol. I'll try everything in the guide (W max, HoB and more statikk games/less Yuntal), thanks again for a very throughout guide and answers in the comments. Botrk is kinda bad, yeah, I never bought it honestly, but sometimes HP stacking in tanky teams feels so oppressive that the thought slips through. Oh well, will stick to usual builds then and miss the old cut down.
@@carminsky PTA you get 8% dmg after proc + proc dmg whereas conq only gives you 29 AD max at lvl 18. for you to have more value from ad to % dmg increase, you need roughly 40-50 AD but thats only into squishies like adcs whereas tanks you'd need a lot more AD to match the % dmg increase . also yeah thats why i never run lethal tempo, ironically best value at lvl 1
@junniseoul I reread my last comment and saw how poorly I explained conq part. It gives raw ad and stacks pretty consistently, there were fights where I had to switch my target multiple times (usually against engage supp and proactive jng) and by the time PtA proced, conq already gave like 6 stacks. Other than consistency and lifesteal to clutch the fight there really is nothing more, thanks for the math on PtA, didn't really know exact numbers. Hey, I love the in-depth about so much of Zeri's design and gameflow, having recently picked her up and enjoying her kit, this is massive help! I have one thing that I kind of cannot seem to get fixed, Zeri feels like she is doing near mosquito damage throughout the entirity of the game, unless people leave me really really alone in teamfights, but even then I cannot seem to input the same damage as almost literally any other adc i've faced. Even if I am having a clean early game, getting kills and being up on farm, I cannot fight the enemy adc without heavy risk of dying just by the sheer damage difference, and I almost always end up only half of their damage on the post game charts. Is this something Zeri struggles with in general and she really has to have those teamfights to shine with her ult or am I just hopelessly bad? (I'm inclined to believe the latter xD)

unfortunately no its not a bug. so youre right in terms of the rune description, but the issue lies within zeri's Q. lethal tempo stacks ON-HIT not on-attack for zeri. zeri's Q only applies on-hit to the FIRST TARGET HIT, which is why on-hit items arent that good on her
When you talked about using the passive autos you showed yourself constantly mixing them in with Qs. Does that mean you recommend using it constantly and not waiting for the fully charged version?
i recommend using it constantly IF youre in a fight to the death. like a fight that you 100% cannot escape from, or a fight that you are full committing to. this only really applies to early-mid game though since your Q range is slightly longer than your base AA range and in late game we should have enough resources to hit max range Q's. but recharging the passive is a lot faster as you get deeper into the game since it recharges based on using Q+moving. so if you were in a situation where you were constantly weaving it in between Q's in late game, you should still be able to recharge your passive pretty quickly.
yeah its definitely something a lot of zeri players dont implement into their gameplay but weaving in those passive AA's really help make the different in a fight going for a kill. MOSTLY in early-mid game though
actually its not that impactful in early game because your passive auto attack's speed also scales with attack speed, plus 10 damage x4 isn't that worth more than reposition yourself.
@@sain2607 its pretty impactful actually . i've gotten a ton of clutch kills doing this, especially since the passive AA will execute enemies if theyre low enough. also, even in early game you still have time to reposition yourself weaving it in between Q's as there's no delay in doing so
Hello there, I actually just started playing ADC as a secondary enjoyer role and the first carry I tried was Zeri because she's free this week. Needless to say she's the most fun I've ever had laning (I'm a JG main, so laning is cancer to me) but I can find LITERALLY NO ZERI content on the entirety of this planet. Therefore I ask/beg, will you be making/uploading more/consistent Zeri related content for us peasants to feast upon?

no settings besides AutoAttack needs to be enabled. you just need to make sure that your cursor is ON the target, and that you perform the button sequence QUICKLY. the more attack speed you have, the FASTER you'll have to perform the button sequence to do the animation cancel.
HOB better into squishy teams/winning 2v2's that you can ALL-IN. so for the latter thats usually based on supp matchup so an example would be; zeri rell vs caitlyn lux basically in matchups where their supp cannot deny your supp's engage if that makes sense. OVERALL THO -> into squishy teams is the general basis for taking HOB
if it still extended AA range then i'd consider it more but the max AD you get from lethal tempo is 21 which isnt great as a "dmg" keystone rune. it also takes too long to stack up in most fights so by the time you could stack it up, the fight might already be over. in those situations though, PTA is much more efficient as 8% dmg increase on ALL dmg sourced from you is better than +21 AD and some on-hit dmg that may not even be hitting the correct target. For reference though, you need about +40 AD vs 8% amp for the dmg to be higher.
so we really end on 75% crit? I also think static is probably the best pick but i just love yuntal, it feels so good zo hit 75 crit after yuntal runaans ie
if you really want to, you could run shieldbow to double up on the 100% crit chance and having a defensive item but that item just feels so bad (to clarify for non adc players, on the ranged champs). rest of the crit options outside of IE runaans ldr aren't great so having the mentioned items in the video is generally more efficient. you could swap out statikk for yuntal in late game though, after achieving full build - would do it into tank teams though.
you can run a 4th crit item if youd like but personally i dont like many of the other crit items outside of the core items as they dont have as much value as BT or GA for zeri as a hypercarry. if zeri had more/better crit scalings aside from her E, i'd love to build 100% crit on her all the time.
Fuck me I didn't play for like half a year and suddenly LT is absolute dogwater. I thought it still gave extended range on Q and didn't realise that it only hits the first unit hit, and none with E active lmao What's your personal preference though. You mainly go Pta or Fleet?
yeah unfortunately lethal tempo has always been that way since zeri's release, but not many people realized bc they just look at what the highest played stats are and copy it without really trying to understand it. to answer your question between the options you gave me, i'd prefer PTA but my real personal preference is HOB.
probably has a worse WR bc they're not utilizing the rune right whereas lethal tempo has been identified as her "best" inslot rune ever since release. in this video though i explain when, why, and how you use those runes
So I wanna preface my question by saying that I play for fun and not in Ranked. I wanted to ask what you'd generally recommend in terms of Runes, Items & Playstyle for a Zeri in midlane. I really love Zeri but the gameplay of the duo lane is just less fun to me.
i'd recommend either HOB or FS in mid lane ! you could still follow the build shown in the video, OR you could try hubris ie runaans. a lot less attack speed than the usual, but a LOT more damage playstyle is p much the same, you just farm but if they walk up you have a bit of an easier time taking the 1v1. i'd probably run exhaust with HOB, and TP/Ghost/Barrier for FS. tp if its a pure farm lane, ghost if you can run them down after laning phase and barrier if you need it to survive laning. just keep in mind most of the matchups mid are kinda difficult as there are usually more mages there and they outrange you but not so bad if you can bait out their spells. hopefully this is a fulfilling answer for ya c:
Thank you for the detailed answer ^^ yeah I‘ve noticed most matchups are hard but at least I can often get a small early game lead if I manage to dodge their ability level 1. Also am guessing for the Hubris build definitely go Berserkers? I usually go Swifties cause it helps me a lot with dodging Skillshots but am assuming that would make my attack speed unbearable with it. For HOB would you recommend Precision or Resolve for a subtree? Whenever I tried out Domination in the past I‘ve had a bit of trouble with sustain and I‘m unsure what would be better. I also followed you on Twitch and I hope I‘ll be able to catch a few streams ^^ (am EU so I‘m assuming your streams are gonna be be in the middle of the night :P)
@@icyplatinum1701 def go berserkers as you WILL need the attackspeed for this type of build. i like precision tree second and take alacrity cutdown just for the damage but the sustain can be hard sometimes so i wouldnt rec HOB unless u KNOW u can 100-0 them. resolve tree is fake ! and boring haha also tysm for following on twitch, i usually start up my streams anywhere from 5-8 pm EST ! hope to catch ya around from time to time. otherwise def join the discord ^^ a lot easier to stay updated in there
having the increased AD is more valuable than having extra mana since we're not a genuine "mage", and we shouldn't be spamming our W enough to the point where we go OOM bc of it. if you DO go OOM from the W max tech, then you may either be staying in lane for too long or using W too often in lane. using it in a more controlled way to either wave clear or follow up on your support setup is much more effective. if you DID want to use it for poke, then using W on a controlled timer will help keep you from running out of mana

@@goe_malcolmryder8483 ah so if youre kiting with Q AA then its bc you're in a situation where you need to fight to the death, bc if you dont then you'll just die. going forward though would be when you KNOW you'll kill them so youre weaving in maximum dmg and intentionally being in close range. your Q will also hit faster since you'll be in close range but i DONT recommend doing this all the time, just for isolated fights where you know you'll kill them in terms of min-max Q AA to charge up, it gets easier as you scale since you'll have more MS and atkspd. you'll naturally charge it up faster than you can deplete it. the best way to actually "min-max" is to generate R stacks and space out your Q's to have max value on hitting the Q's and charging your passive, and when your passive is charged you can look to gapclose with the increased MS then repeat . every situation is different though so take my advice with a grain of salt as it wont hold true to every single situation, just most.
i kind of avoid playing her even though i got her prestige skin and NEVER play her just cause i always felt like she is too weak and unplayable in my emerald 1-2 games. i probably just suck with her though
this encourages me to try her again in normies with W max first. just not sure how you’re supposed to benefit from her W bonus damage unless you’re hard shoving them or hovering at your tower
@@LoLTerminus you create the W angles ! once you get more practice in, you'll soon realize that creating the empowered W angles is a lot easier than you think but you could always double up on using E as a get-away spell and then casting W in the middle of a wall as youre escaping to deal the dmg. same if you wanted to use E as follow up and then W before you come out of the wall

this too ^^^ if youre in a tough matchup, then having biscuits secondary help you survive laning phase, and having either Cashback or Jack of All Trades let you as an ADC player scale way better

@@brooomish you can take celerity instead of absolute focus since zeri has a lot of MS bonuses. as for inspiration tree, i prefer cash back in most games as it helps you scale faster. i would take jacks in games where i cant commit to full damage items, and need something like mercurial scimitar and a GA
so the rune itself is not what gives zeri AD, its her kit. her attack speed is capped at 1.5 and 70% of excess attack speed is converted into bonus AD. thats where the ad is coming from when you're running HOB
mostly into squishy teams ! works really well into champs who are either immobile or short ranged, especially if you have a high kill pressure support like naut rell leona etc.
i dont really like shieldbow bc the shield is non-existent on ranged champs (520 at lvl 18 is crazy low) if you want it for 100% crit then sure its not bad but i personally prefer other items like BT GA as those items serve a better purpose and have more value.
usually into squishy types of team comps with little to no tanks. if they're playing bruisers thats fine, also good value in games where you can just play for an all-in like example teamcomp would be ambessa, graves, aurora, jinx, bard. all of them can have a decent amount of HP or resistances but fights shouldnt last that long where you'd need PTA instead. HOB has crazy value in short term fights giving you big dmg temporarily so its best into squishier teams !
gotta practice the angles ! there are a lot of small and tight spaces on the map that you can hit W with especially in teamfights, but MOST of the time when i hit my W its bc im punishing their punishing when they overextend. for example, if i wait to use W after the enemy uses a Dash or after they get slowed by my teammate, hitting the W becomes much easier
its hard to put those items on a balance scale with each other and decide between which is better as they both have different purposes. what i can say is runaans is better for teamfight dmg (more people more dmg) whereas hexplate is better for 1v1's/statchecking. just keep in mind that hexplate doesnt offer crit and is gated by your R.
@junniseoul I like zeri, my teammates do not. We apparently have to fight every fight pre level 6, then when im finally 6 and kinda a champ they have fed enemy adc a good 3-20 kills
@@sukoui ahh i see. yea those moments are definitely rough but its ok ! just means more moments to limit test and try something new. you'll find your way up for sure
@junniseoul I also do not listen and I still run lethal, if I run anything else my jnglers will just have more to complain and int over ;-; (they don't like not getting leashed, but me getting lvl 2 early is more important than speeding their clear up by 10 seconds)
it does cost a lot of mana but thats why i mention in the beginning that the playstyle is very opportunistic - so you have to be a lil selective with W, cant just use it freely but for maxing W and its increased mana costs its worth the increased dmg since you dont lose out for maxing Q 2nd. just be wary of how often you may be using W, and try to be more selective with the timing of your uses

i dont mention conq bc i wanted to keep this guide as short as possible while still talking about things i felt were the most important/had most value or even the most misunderstood to clarify for other people; such as lethal tempo since i explain why its not as great as people think. conq isnt bad, and its def a consistent rune but i like pta better as its faster to proc and deal dmg. in terms of dmg comparison yea conq isnt far, but keep in mind that flat AD increase compared to % dmg increase is different when you crunch the numbers like how much armor the enemy has, etc. in terms of HOB, way it works on zeri vs other marksmen is different as well not including the early game so i'd imagine your experience with this will be better(hopefully). to each their own though
now on the topic of yuntal - its not that im being harsh on the item, its more of the fact that its outclassed by statikk and ie as 1st and 2nd inslot item for zeri. statikk being 2700g and providing all those stats and dmg, it increases your tempo whereas yuntal still requires maybe 5-8 minutes to fully stack before receiving maximum value on that item. now for 2nd slot item, IE is just a big dmg amp item that delaying it doesnt feel great. at this point we now need other items for synergy or for necessities such as LDR/mortal reminder if enemy team is tanky and runaans with zeri is just too good to skip out on.
also no i would never consider bork as zeri is just terrible with on-hit. bork itself is also not a great item for adcs at all. the passive is nice yes but 5% of current HP is only nice if they continue to stay at a high hp. going BT you have +40 AD difference from bork, and with zeri's scalings you'd just do more damage with that. if i HAD to build it, then it would be my boot replacement as a 6th item
@junniseoul thanks for the answer, appreciate it. I understand that conq gives flat AD, but it is still a pretty solid amount, gives value as you stack it, while PtA works only after proc and LT is VERY underwhelming after lvl 3 or so, but honestly I mostly use PtA. I'll try HoB, maybe it'll grow on me.
Statikk is definitely BiS 1st item and is a better tempo item, especially considering how expensive IE is, I should try it more honestly, but still 75% on 3 items still sounds too good lol. I'll try everything in the guide (W max, HoB and more statikk games/less Yuntal), thanks again for a very throughout guide and answers in the comments.
Botrk is kinda bad, yeah, I never bought it honestly, but sometimes HP stacking in tanky teams feels so oppressive that the thought slips through. Oh well, will stick to usual builds then and miss the old cut down.
@@carminsky PTA you get 8% dmg after proc + proc dmg whereas conq only gives you 29 AD max at lvl 18. for you to have more value from ad to % dmg increase, you need roughly 40-50 AD but thats only into squishies like adcs whereas tanks you'd need a lot more AD to match the % dmg increase .
also yeah thats why i never run lethal tempo, ironically best value at lvl 1
@junniseoul I reread my last comment and saw how poorly I explained conq part. It gives raw ad and stacks pretty consistently, there were fights where I had to switch my target multiple times (usually against engage supp and proactive jng) and by the time PtA proced, conq already gave like 6 stacks. Other than consistency and lifesteal to clutch the fight there really is nothing more, thanks for the math on PtA, didn't really know exact numbers.

Hey, I love the in-depth about so much of Zeri's design and gameflow, having recently picked her up and enjoying her kit, this is massive help! I have one thing that I kind of cannot seem to get fixed, Zeri feels like she is doing near mosquito damage throughout the entirity of the game, unless people leave me really really alone in teamfights, but even then I cannot seem to input the same damage as almost literally any other adc i've faced.
Even if I am having a clean early game, getting kills and being up on farm, I cannot fight the enemy adc without heavy risk of dying just by the sheer damage difference, and I almost always end up only half of their damage on the post game charts. Is this something Zeri struggles with in general and she really has to have those teamfights to shine with her ult or am I just hopelessly bad? (I'm inclined to believe the latter xD)

wait the lethal tempo having to hit champion first must be a bug no? Nothing in the runes description tells you that it has to hit a champion first.
unfortunately no its not a bug. so youre right in terms of the rune description, but the issue lies within zeri's Q. lethal tempo stacks ON-HIT not on-attack for zeri. zeri's Q only applies on-hit to the FIRST TARGET HIT, which is why on-hit items arent that good on her
When you talked about using the passive autos you showed yourself constantly mixing them in with Qs. Does that mean you recommend using it constantly and not waiting for the fully charged version?
i recommend using it constantly IF youre in a fight to the death. like a fight that you 100% cannot escape from, or a fight that you are full committing to. this only really applies to early-mid game though since your Q range is slightly longer than your base AA range and in late game we should have enough resources to hit max range Q's. but recharging the passive is a lot faster as you get deeper into the game since it recharges based on using Q+moving. so if you were in a situation where you were constantly weaving it in between Q's in late game, you should still be able to recharge your passive pretty quickly.

yeah its definitely something a lot of zeri players dont implement into their gameplay but weaving in those passive AA's really help make the different in a fight going for a kill. MOSTLY in early-mid game though
actually its not that impactful in early game because your passive auto attack's speed also scales with attack speed, plus 10 damage x4 isn't that worth more than reposition yourself.
@@sain2607 its pretty impactful actually . i've gotten a ton of clutch kills doing this, especially since the passive AA will execute enemies if theyre low enough. also, even in early game you still have time to reposition yourself weaving it in between Q's as there's no delay in doing so

no settings besides AutoAttack needs to be enabled. you just need to make sure that your cursor is ON the target, and that you perform the button sequence QUICKLY. the more attack speed you have, the FASTER you'll have to perform the button sequence to do the animation cancel.

HOB better into squishy teams/winning 2v2's that you can ALL-IN. so for the latter thats usually based on supp matchup so an example would be; zeri rell vs caitlyn lux
basically in matchups where their supp cannot deny your supp's engage if that makes sense.
OVERALL THO -> into squishy teams is the general basis for taking HOB
Isnt lethal tempo still good on her tho? Cause once u stack it up your bonus AS is converted to AD
if it still extended AA range then i'd consider it more but the max AD you get from lethal tempo is 21 which isnt great as a "dmg" keystone rune. it also takes too long to stack up in most fights so by the time you could stack it up, the fight might already be over. in those situations though, PTA is much more efficient as 8% dmg increase on ALL dmg sourced from you is better than +21 AD and some on-hit dmg that may not even be hitting the correct target. For reference though, you need about +40 AD vs 8% amp for the dmg to be higher.
so we really end on 75% crit? I also think static is probably the best pick but i just love yuntal, it feels so good zo hit 75 crit after yuntal runaans ie
if you really want to, you could run shieldbow to double up on the 100% crit chance and having a defensive item but that item just feels so bad (to clarify for non adc players, on the ranged champs). rest of the crit options outside of IE runaans ldr aren't great so having the mentioned items in the video is generally more efficient. you could swap out statikk for yuntal in late game though, after achieving full build - would do it into tank teams though.

you can run a 4th crit item if youd like but personally i dont like many of the other crit items outside of the core items as they dont have as much value as BT or GA for zeri as a hypercarry. if zeri had more/better crit scalings aside from her E, i'd love to build 100% crit on her all the time.

yeah unfortunately lethal tempo has always been that way since zeri's release, but not many people realized bc they just look at what the highest played stats are and copy it without really trying to understand it.
to answer your question between the options you gave me, i'd prefer PTA but my real personal preference is HOB.

probably has a worse WR bc they're not utilizing the rune right whereas lethal tempo has been identified as her "best" inslot rune ever since release. in this video though i explain when, why, and how you use those runes

So I wanna preface my question by saying that I play for fun and not in Ranked. I wanted to ask what you'd generally recommend in terms of Runes, Items & Playstyle for a Zeri in midlane.
I really love Zeri but the gameplay of the duo lane is just less fun to me.
i'd recommend either HOB or FS in mid lane !
you could still follow the build shown in the video, OR you could try hubris ie runaans. a lot less attack speed than the usual, but a LOT more damage
playstyle is p much the same, you just farm but if they walk up you have a bit of an easier time taking the 1v1. i'd probably run exhaust with HOB, and TP/Ghost/Barrier for FS. tp if its a pure farm lane, ghost if you can run them down after laning phase and barrier if you need it to survive laning.
just keep in mind most of the matchups mid are kinda difficult as there are usually more mages there and they outrange you but not so bad if you can bait out their spells.

yeah I‘ve noticed most matchups are hard but at least I can often get a small early game lead if I manage to dodge their ability level 1.
Also am guessing for the Hubris build definitely go Berserkers? I usually go Swifties cause it helps me a lot with dodging Skillshots but am assuming that would make my attack speed unbearable with it.
For HOB would you recommend Precision or Resolve for a subtree? Whenever I tried out Domination in the past I‘ve had a bit of trouble with sustain and I‘m unsure what would be better.

@@icyplatinum1701 def go berserkers as you WILL need the attackspeed for this type of build. i like precision tree second and take alacrity cutdown just for the damage but the sustain can be hard sometimes so i wouldnt rec HOB unless u KNOW u can 100-0 them. resolve tree is fake ! and boring haha

Im just wondering, why do we go absolute focus and not mana flowband? since we mostly use our W into trades.
having the increased AD is more valuable than having extra mana since we're not a genuine "mage", and we shouldn't be spamming our W enough to the point where we go OOM bc of it. if you DO go OOM from the W max tech, then you may either be staying in lane for too long or using W too often in lane. using it in a more controlled way to either wave clear or follow up on your support setup is much more effective. if you DID want to use it for poke, then using W on a controlled timer will help keep you from running out of mana
can you show how you kite with Zeri? like i can kind of do it but im not sure if it's the most affective way to kite with her thank you

@@goe_malcolmryder8483 ah so if youre kiting with Q AA then its bc you're in a situation where you need to fight to the death, bc if you dont then you'll just die. going forward though would be when you KNOW you'll kill them so youre weaving in maximum dmg and intentionally being in close range. your Q will also hit faster since you'll be in close range but i DONT recommend doing this all the time, just for isolated fights where you know you'll kill them
in terms of min-max Q AA to charge up, it gets easier as you scale since you'll have more MS and atkspd. you'll naturally charge it up faster than you can deplete it. the best way to actually "min-max" is to generate R stacks and space out your Q's to have max value on hitting the Q's and charging your passive, and when your passive is charged you can look to gapclose with the increased MS then repeat . every situation is different though so take my advice with a grain of salt as it wont hold true to every single situation, just most.

i kind of avoid playing her even though i got her prestige skin and NEVER play her just cause i always felt like she is too weak and unplayable in my emerald 1-2 games. i probably just suck with her though
this encourages me to try her again in normies with W max first. just not sure how you’re supposed to benefit from her W bonus damage unless you’re hard shoving them or hovering at your tower
@@LoLTerminus you create the W angles ! once you get more practice in, you'll soon realize that creating the empowered W angles is a lot easier than you think but you could always double up on using E as a get-away spell and then casting W in the middle of a wall as youre escaping to deal the dmg. same if you wanted to use E as follow up and then W before you come out of the wall

@@brooomish you can take celerity instead of absolute focus since zeri has a lot of MS bonuses. as for inspiration tree, i prefer cash back in most games as it helps you scale faster. i would take jacks in games where i cant commit to full damage items, and need something like mercurial scimitar and a GA

zeri's passive converts excess attack speed into ad
so the rune itself is not what gives zeri AD, its her kit. her attack speed is capped at 1.5 and 70% of excess attack speed is converted into bonus AD. thats where the ad is coming from when you're running HOB

What situations would you use hail of blades?
mostly into squishy teams ! works really well into champs who are either immobile or short ranged, especially if you have a high kill pressure support like naut rell leona etc.
when you talked about items what bout shieldbow is it worth or not?
i dont really like shieldbow bc the shield is non-existent on ranged champs (520 at lvl 18 is crazy low)
if you want it for 100% crit then sure its not bad but i personally prefer other items like BT GA as those items serve a better purpose and have more value.

usually into squishy types of team comps with little to no tanks. if they're playing bruisers thats fine, also good value in games where you can just play for an all-in
like example teamcomp would be
ambessa, graves, aurora, jinx, bard. all of them can have a decent amount of HP or resistances but fights shouldnt last that long where you'd need PTA instead. HOB has crazy value in short term fights giving you big dmg temporarily so its best into squishier teams !

gotta practice the angles ! there are a lot of small and tight spaces on the map that you can hit W with especially in teamfights, but MOST of the time when i hit my W its bc im punishing their punishing when they overextend. for example, if i wait to use W after the enemy uses a Dash or after they get slowed by my teammate, hitting the W becomes much easier
is experimental hexplate better than ruunans? or is ruunans better?
its hard to put those items on a balance scale with each other and decide between which is better as they both have different purposes.
what i can say is runaans is better for teamfight dmg (more people more dmg) whereas hexplate is better for 1v1's/statchecking.
just keep in mind that hexplate doesnt offer crit and is gated by your R.

it does cost a lot of mana but thats why i mention in the beginning that the playstyle is very opportunistic - so you have to be a lil selective with W, cant just use it freely but for maxing W and its increased mana costs its worth the increased dmg since you dont lose out for maxing Q 2nd. just be wary of how often you may be using W, and try to be more selective with the timing of your uses
