When I was a child, my family was very poor. My father lost his job at Fletcher's bakery and it broke him that he could no longer leap his specially adapted motorcycle across the river Don at Neepsend. After that, he could only find short term employment working as an assassin for the General Tito regime in the former Yugoslavia. One of my worst memories is coming home from school and finding him weeping on the couch clutching his sequined cape as my mother gently stroked his brow saying "What's Evel Knievel got that you haven't, eh love?". My dad looked up through his tears and replied "An appointment for surgery on his hernia and a more convincing comb-over". That's what it's all about, love and family. We never went hungry and we had dandruff and frog sanwiches for tea that night as we often did. I want to say to people that it always gets better. I know it's not all sunshine, rainbows and lollipops but not long after that troubling time in my youth, my father found his true vocation when Burgon and Ball started paying him a very decent salary for crouching behind a hedge in Stannington and shouting "Bionic Woman!" while holding a jar of lemon curd.
nice to hear that you left turd island! my wife is going to shetland islands next week, i did not want to join since I see no point switching one turd country to another (I am taking the camper van to poland) :) Sorry for my negativity! I am happy to see you back on the road.
btw, you probably have a good reason for the long lag in video posting but for me it is a big minus since i like to watch my favourite vloggers more in real-time. i dont know if many are like me but it could be one reason for why you have so few viewers? I enjoy your vids and i am surprised that not more peeps do the same! Take care!! /prof
Spending 2 years continuously travelling was the reason for the delay. I couldn't keep up! The videos are catching up and will soon be in real time cheers for watching.
@@globaltreats excellent! Where are you now? Still in thailand? I am exploring possible places to retire and place after place is removed from the list of possible places. in the end i would not be surprised if thailand is the last man standing haha It is a great country. And As 50+ guys we (at least I) are already considered retired and there is a nice long-time visa for us!
Brilliant vlog Scott! 👍
Glad to see you back🎉
Good and useful video, ta
Great video. Food, food and more food. Lol

Bloody hell that didn’t take you long!
Once a traveller….
Why do you stay in hostels? You don't come across as cheap. You spend more on beer than accommodation 😅
@@timwalker2458 staying in hostels allowed me to travel for much longer. And they're much more social.
The best street food in the world, and some of the worst music.
Just no. Too much noise in the background. Hard to understand you. Please improve this.
