In Arizona I get to drive solo in the HOV lane during the restriction times, but we don't get stickers to put on our fenders like in California. Instead, we get "Alternative fuel" license plates. My license plate looks different from the standard issue and is specifically designated to indicate my F150 Lightning doesn't burn gas or diesel. I think the special design license plate approach is better because I don't have to put on some stickers each year on the body of my truck.
The thing about EVs is that they are better in terms of pollution. First, it does make a little more pollution to mine the materials for the batteries and the same pollution for manufacturing as it does for a gas powered vehicle, but because EVs don't burn gas or diesel in about 2 years they break even with ICE vehicles. After that the ICE vehicles just keep contributing pollution and EVs get greener and greener by comparison. Second, the power source is not all coal or gas. In fact, coal burning to produce electricity amounts to about 20% of all electricity production nationally. Hydro, solar, wind, and nuclear account for more than 50% of all electricity produced across the country. Of course, in dirty states they may have more coal used than the national average, but in better places the electricity is far, far cleaner. And for whatever concerns people may have about nuclear power at least it doesn't contribute greenhouse gases. If people have solar panels at home, since they can charge up at home, that would be ideal.
Good job Mitch, Buy EV - So U can HEAR my family, really. I'm givn you a pass on that. Editor Note: they said you're a good dude, I agree. They didn't mention you were 6'3".
Bud it might have a much lower operating cost, but the UP FRONT cost is significantly higher! Id say that almost everyone would consider these ( including myself ) if the get-into it cost was comparable. It is not. Well unless u want the cut rate Bolt. The lightning is awesome, really beautiful. But the dealerships are raping people on these. The initial cost is already high, but after adding the $20k or more add-ons, added by the dealer on top of these makes it out of reach to everyone almost.
Dude come on. An EV will never make any financial sense currently. Costs are easily 10K or more than any normal ICE car. That 10- 15K will offset any normal maintenance and fuel needs that an ICE car needs. Its not FREE to charge an EV car. Yes you get breaks from your electric provider at home but not free. And Level 3 chargers can be expensive. A normal level F150 is 18K cheaper than the Ev model. Please tell me how you offset that cost and have the EV be better than a ICE version. We are just not there yet for this to become completely large scale yet. We really need to look at the BMW I8 and the Chevy Bolt. We need a range extending plug in to take off. That gives you a best of both worlds. EV has its place but not for long distance as of yet. Your video is nice though.

Seems u like u might be paid by ford to advertise these. Since they aren’t selling. Ford vehicles in general I mean. I hope not
Nope. Ford doesn’t sponsor this channel at all.
I will when all my electricity is free. Anywhere, anytime.
like your gas
Oh didn’t realize your gas was free. How do I get on that program?
