A chain guide mounted on the bottom of my chain stay eliminated all of my chaim slap issues as well as any chain drop issues. It was the most effective $20 I spent on my bike.
Save a little and get the San Quentin 1 for the summer. It has boost forks with thru-axles and will offer you easy upgrades in the future. The groupset on the bobcat is awful, had to replace the entire thing after 1 month. Also the San Quentin has thru-axles on the rear so wheelset upgrades are easy.
@@AkshatSTR8EDGE I can't talk about the Trek but for the bobcat trail, all the components are garbage and it has quick release on the frame. Any bike you get you'll be wanting new forks and a new groupset within 6 months. The San Quentin with upgrades becomes a really nice bike. With the other 2 the frame is lacking. Trek frame is also ugly imo.
