To say that Fahrenheit was born in Gdansk is a massive anachronism. In a massive part of history, this place was Danzig, a German town in the German land of Prussia.
And so it was in his time, Fahrenheit obviously, as the name tells you, was a German!

How did Galenus get ice for experiment in 180AD when artificially making water to ice was invented in around 1800 AD and Greece barely has snowfall.

Ice can be preserved in sawdust or straw for long periods underground and transported long distances from the mountains. Having it available out of season was a status symbol for centuries.

The whole world should get rid of the stupid Celsius scale for measuring temperature and use Fahrenheit it's more precise the whole world should use metric in everything else measured just not temperature. For example kilometers is more precise than mph. just not the metric temperature scale
