Don't know why but that whole fight felt really... personal? Like yeah we had all those cool final boss fights like Ahab and Erlking, but while those were more of a moments for sinners, this for some reason struck me stronger than everything that was before that and i cant really put my finger on it... and its really impressive considering that it all was just pure gestures and actions in the heat of battle, no story or explanation what player should feel.. i just wish to experience that fight once more like for the first time..
With the way that the Peccatula has been evolving over the course of the game, it might actually be intentional to feel more Personal. Especially when considering what the Envy Peccatula might represent.
Personal is definitely a good way to put it. Abnormalities are usually hyper-fixated on whatever their being happens to be. When dealing with them, you have to understand them and play by their rules on their terms on their own board. The King in Binds is no different in that respect, but IMO, I get the vibe he's much more than that, as if he understands the mirror world and he understands who we are and why we're there, and the weight of making us face off essentially with ourselves. And despite all that, we still play his game anyway.

Based off of what I have read from the observation logs of this abnormality, I think it would be safe to say that the parallels between the king and Dante is intentional. Both are individuals possessing great power but ultimately suffer because of the responsibility that comes as a result of it. The king is bound to his throne for who knows how long in order to play his role as a ruler while Dante’s suffering is very self explanatory for those of you who have come this far. Even both the king’s and Dante’s character design red and yellow colour scheme are identical making the parallels even more abundantly clear. But what separates both of them from each other? That would be empathy. Whereas the king does not bat an eye at the death of his loyal subjects (the envy peccatulas), Dante instead not only shares but attempts to understand both the literal and metaphorical suffering that each sinner has and will experience in cantos. The message behind this comparison made then is likely meant to provide insight into one of the main qualities of a king or a leader figure, that it’s not merely having the fortitude to continue undertaking a responsibility knowing full well the consequences which makes a great king, but looking after and protecting your own subjects because your seat in power is nothing without your own people. For instance from each respective character, Dante is incapable of defending himself without the assistance of the sinners. For the king in binds, once he has lost all of his subjects, he then challenges the sinners to combat before meeting his own defeat.
If you look closely, when a peccatula is killed, the king plays his hurt animation (the same as when he is under attack himself), so he shares the pain, he just can't do much about it. Except buff his peccatulas to make the spectacle last longer, I suppose. Other than that, very good point, I was too busy struggling with my luck to notice the parallel!

I suppose this previously unmentioned detail does add a semblance of connection between the king and his subjects and more of proof of the parallel between the abnormality and Dante in terms of the suffering they are both destined share with their respective subjects. Alephs (depending on the Aleph) oftentimes require 5/12 agents to suppress without major losses. The whole fight is NUTS and the animations REALLY made me believe it's an Aleph due to the sheer amount of power needed.
It is comical that every time you attack, you release the restraints, draw your sword, stand up and then sit down again as if nothing had happened. don't you fight standing up?
If we are going to follow the trend of every Railway final bosses being inspired from either religion or ideology, then I would say that the King in Binds is inspired from the Cult of Personality Ideology.
IMO, I think that King in Binds took some inspiration from The Hanged King and Alaggada of the SCP series (which isn't a stretch considering LCorp) with the whole "bound king is somewhat powerless"
