Hilltop Packs and their owners are great. I have a ton of respect for them. They did a great job on your pack, especially with your logo on it. Looks incredibly slick.
Love Hilltop Packs, and their warrantee. Pulled a grommet on mine going into West Stony with you, and Ben just said "Send it back, we'll take care of it". I can't ask for more then that.
I want one. Thks buddy for a great review.. The Scottish Highlands will test all my kit to the max. I gotta have this pack. Love it. Happy hiking and best regards from Oxford 🇬🇧.
They're great packs, and if you use the link in the description of the video (hilltoppacks.com/adk and use code "ADK" for 10% off!) you can save some money AND help support the channel ;) Thanks for watching!!
LOL thanks ... you can find the "Go Hiking!" shirt in my merch shop ;) adkwoodswalker.myspreadshop.com/go+hiking-A6185ffb441dca5355523d617?productType=210&sellable=4waOrAJdGjiznkN3q7XQ-210-7&appearance=120
I don’t know how you fit 4 season gear lol. My -20 degree bag takes up a ton of room, plus layers, food, stove and shelter. I had to upsize my winter pack to an 80L which admittedly is too big, but it was given to me. Arc’teryx Bora I think. Heavy as hell but carries like a cloud.
Yea -- my 4-season currently only consists of 0* insulation, so that may be the big difference. I'll see if I can pack all the down that I brought out on our recent sub-zero overnight into the pack with a day of food ... that should be fun ;)
Years of replacing a lot of my gear with lighter weight pieces has helped with my pack weight a lot. In fact, my Long Trail pack weight less than 32lbs and that was with 6lbs of camera gear and batteries for filming.

Yea the pack is very cool, but, like you said, Ben and the crew at Hilltop Packs are amazing!

The Scottish Highlands is on my list of "must have" adventures ... enjoy!!!
I love Hilltop Packs gear! I'm hopefully gonna get myself a Raven UL pack with my logo on it. Nice video!

Thanks for the informative video...
Love the John Kelley cameo lol
I was trying to get Dan Becker, but John Kelley is far cheaper (take that however you will ;) )
Besides being a great review, that shirt you're wearing is fantastic.

You mentioned it is water resistant, do you still keep your gear in water proof bags inside this pack?
I use compression sacks to keep items separated inside the pack, and those are water resistant, so it’s double protection ;)
30lbs seems a little lite, for a pack. That's lighter than a week trip pack...
