The "high value" concept is deeply rooted in classism. If you have a classy style, perfect nails/perfectly trimmed facial hair, can afford to be well-travelled and eat a good diet, there is no way in hell you come from a poor background. It was the same with the whole "quiet luxury" trend - the idea that if you aren't able to constantly consume high-end products and services, you have less "class" and therefore less worth

This right hereeee!! I love this comment and I never thought about it this way and you’re completely right! Everything associated with being high value all equates back to classism! There’s no way you can get your nails done every 2 weeks, or get a haircut regularly, afford gym memberships, eat organic and still have a lot of money left over if you don’t already have a lot of money. People need to understand that money does not equal value !

Hmm, maybe it's not a coincidence then that a lot of British youtubers contribute to this discourse and similar topics like "being ladylike" when by no means were they upper class initially (Antonia Higham is an excellent example of this, I recently scrolled back to her very first videos and it's astounding how different she was, she even changed her accent to sound posh)

❤Ladies.. I promise I am the example that you don’t believe in. I’ll never forget the moment that I found out about dental and vision appointments. I had 2 holes in my dollar store shoes. I refused to believe that life was for me . Poor or not, I was smarter than well off kids & trained myself to be 2-5 steps ahead and prepared for anything. Believe in yourself. My delusion eventually became my reality. I lost weight, fixed my skin, entered Dental school, GREW MY REAL HAIR (edges too lol) , & refined my etiquette skills and just stumbled into better circles. Just try it .

Organic costs more but I find eating healthy is otherwise cheaper. I asked someone how much they spend and it was double what I spent and I still had food left at the end of the week.

Thank you so much for bringing this issue to light. I have been someone who used to watch a lot of "high value women" videos, and a lot of the concerns you brought up were exactly how I started to feel towards the end and ended up feeling very overwhelmed, and even depressed.
The constant feeling of not being "good-enough" and always striving to be this "perfect" image of a high value, feminine woman became very unsustainable and inauthentic. Why are we always pushed this message that we must always improve? Why can't we just be good enough as we are now? Prioritize being the healthiest version of yourself versus fitting an aesthetic, "perfect" curated image.
I am not a walking checklist of who I should be. I am a human being with flaws. Self-care and self-improvement is a lifelong journey and my journey alone. My motto is now striving for only health---in all aspects of my life---spiritually, mentally & physically.

I personally can't for the life of me talk about myself in terms of being "high value" or "low value" regardless of what I do. I have value, full stop. I have it on my good days and on my bad days. I have it when I take care of myself and even when I don't: I don't become a garbage "low value" woman when I'm struggling with mental health issues and am not coping with them in the best way. I don't even become a low value woman when I'm around people who don't share my values: I'll just feel uncomfortable but it says nothing about me as a person.
To me there is NOTHING empowering about the term high value. The journey of being a human is just that: a journey. Some folks waving around the 'High-Value' label might just be hiding their selfish, and honestly, somewhat sociopathic behaviors behind a slick facade. They're all about looking the part, with their wealth and looks on display and always in the spotlight (online), but you might catch that telltale dead-eyed look that shows something's off. They play this weird game where they're all over social media, showing off, while telling their partners to lay low and keep off social media because, to them, it's their partners who are the ones seeking validation, not themselves. It's a bit twisted when you think about it, using clever moves to cover up a real lack of warmth. And society, to a point, is kind of playing along, celebrating these shallow traits and overlooking what really matters, like genuine kindness and being a solid person. Though I will say, I don't believe these people outnumber actual genuine people; their online presence just reaches out more because of the attention-seeking.

Yeah, I think it's silly when men believe that women posting online is always all about them...often we post because we like fashion and want to connect with like-minded women...but I feel like the female psychologist in the video is right on some level when she talks about how some women DO post all the time because no amount of validation will help them feel more secure in themselves and they want attention. Can you blame them though? Patriarchal structures and standards have a really negative impact on women's mental health. However, to say that someone has no value because they are struggling with mental health is really fucked up. I hope these girls learn to post for their own enjoyment and not for the male gaze and that those of us who post to connect with like-minded women (and people of other genders) keep having a good time online! Either way, everyone has value! Being insecure doesn't take away your value. It makes you human.

The idea of a woman who respects herself, takes care of herself, invests in herself, makes a priority of fulfilling her goals is positive and good. BUT, the cult wanna be leaders also push the idea that a woman, is high value only when men ran after her, when a woman is cherished like a precious princess by a man - this princess treatment gives me daddy issues vibes.
My problem with it is that the push the idea that a woman is complete if her life is like a bs soap opera when men - rich and young and good looking men ran after her. The idea that a woman should be validated and taken care of by someone is is very concerning for me, because if you get into relationships, with that mindset you might get with toxic and manipulative men.
When in reality, relationships and attraction do not work that way. If there is too much obsession involved the relationship is toxic and enmeshed, run baby if someone love bombs you.

What he said about it was very refreshing because in his terms, high value is someone who is confident and knows what they want. And so they they will attract high value partners too. I know it sounds so dated but it helps me be a lot more confident in myself and what I want in my partner on my own terms that is realistic.
The term has completely gone off the rails because of what all this dumb “alpha man” podcast are saying now. To me, as long as you put high value in your own realistic terms, it’s fine.

And you taking advice from random people on the internet… word for word… not thinking for yourself…. says you likely haven’t realized who you are yet.
Content creators are just that … people giving opinions based on their own unique life experiences, observations, and perceptions.
The key word there being unique…. which means their views may not be true for you but that does not mean they are not true for them. Their views may sound crazy to you but that does not mean it does not make sense to them.

Even the woman he goes for is determined by what other men will think of him, everything in his life is dictated by it, from his appearance to his interests to who he sleeps with. It's kind of sad, these types of men will never even realize who they actually are and what they actually want out of life.

When to let people go if they cross your boundaries. Be comfortable being alone and enjoying your own company. Be healthy in the mind and in the body. It’s not easy.
Also part of it is recognizing how some ideas of these influencers/motivational speakers go against your values. And Andrew Tate is someone you should never get advice from.

Thank you, I’m glad someone is shedding light on the tragedy that this ‘I’m better than you cause somehow I’m worth more’ movement I’ve been seeing in recent times. It’s just another form of classism to create further separation in society and needs to be stopped!

Sorry for pointing out something not really related to the theme of the video, but I literally burst out laughing when I saw the first meme that popped up at the beginning of the video. I'm Italian, and that man is the governor of Campania (a region of Italy), his presence took me off guard lol

TBH I just used watched few videos and used the tips to improve my presence a little bit, but that's all. When I've learned about it I was already in a long and stable relationship with the most caring man I know, so I didn't need more than just a little glow up for my own pleasure. Of course I was also watching "high value women content" for entertaining [some of the shoots in these girl videos were really appealing], but after some time they get boring. At the end of my comment I would like to add a fun fact - Carl Jung wrote about Anima and Animus, which is basically what they call feminine and masculine energy nowdays. Jung wrote we need to have and balance both ; )
[If you don't know, Carl Jung is a huge figure in analytical psychology.]

For anyone still wondering why the use of the word female specifically is offensive, when used in counterpart to the word man it just seems like an attempt to dehumanize women and refer to them as a set of biological characteristics rather than fully formed people with thoughts and emotions
