This was a good topic, i enjoyed the video. I went to school for sociology and social work and had many debates, discussions, & good reads in regard to economics, politics, wealth, etc. In conclusion it was kinda just like, “we can all choose to be the anomaly and do our best in creating awareness and not participate”. As someone who grew up poor, I have learned to see money as a tool and resource. I do feel money is important, but I do not revolve my entire life and self worth around it. As a therapist, I encourage my clients to strive for a life of contentment and happiness. That is not greed and excess. ❤
I wish we had more people like you in this world forreal. Money is 100% important and we need it to survive but if we revolve our entire lives around it, that's not even living in my opinion. Striking the perfect balance is essential but it seems like a lot of people (mostly the ones I mentioned in my video) are greedy in the end of the day. And I wish I ended up taking social work in school man lol I know I would have enjoyed it.
Company towns are extremely dangerous. Imagine your boss is your landlord, owns all the resources you access etc. If he doesn't like you, the whole community can shun you, to the point that if you lose your job, your house is gone too and say goodbye to your friends and neighbours. It's such a scam. I love Rihanna, but her business scored lower than Shein on ethics, employee treatment, environmental issues etc, etc. There are no ethical billionaires!

Honestly, it's interesting how this changed my perspective on wealth. I don't usually click on videos like this, but I found it captivating. I grew up around a lot of money (I am from the Boston area, attended private schools all my life in which the tuition was on average 50k a year, many family vacations to exotic locations, nice clothes, club sports, vacation houses in Florida, Monaco, Spain, country clubs, a Ferrari at 16, housekeepers/chefs, trust fund accounts, etc.) and I always knew that other people of other socio-economic classes existed. Still, I just realized how big the divide is. I am also at university in Switzerland, currently getting my architectural degree, and even now, I am around many more people with the same upbringing and lifestyle as me. Please keep making videos like this; I believe this topic is especially interesting and eye-opening. :)

You will always be out of touch because you will never understand going without because there is no choice. You also have the luxury of trying and failing often. Dabbling. Finding what you enjoy. The rest of us need to take any job that will cover our expenses and we can't just quit an abusive job. You have freedom of financial stress and freedom of choice.
Don't feel bad and you are not obligated to do anything you don't feel like doing. Doing good is good but sometimes people are poor to teach us something in life. Teach about ourselves, help us grow and actually help us find out what we like and what we want to spend money when we do become rich. I don't know if you believe in God but God gives good and he takes it away. Just ask him for wisdom so you know what to do. Everyone has different purposes in life. Just because someone is poor doesn't mean it's your responsibility to take care of them. You being rich doesn't make you perfect. You have alot of things You're learn in life too and I'm sure money isn't all that matters to you. It's impossible. Money can't buy peace and happiness. Being poor doesn't mean you should get a handout. There are many lesson in every place in life. Things happen for us to grow.
