Just came across this study and was so blessed to learn. Will be checking out some of the other stuff NI has available. I really want to understand better the culture from which Yeshua came and the chosen people of Yahweh...my fellow brothers and sisters in Adonai. Thank you for posting this!
Shalom, and welcome! Praise be to Yahweh Elohim that you found the study a blessing. Please feel welcome to check out our website at nazareneisrael.org. (There are many studies there!) May He please continue to lead and guide you.
Shalom and welcome! Blessed be Yahweh Elohim for making the study a blessing for you. Please feel welcome to check out all of our studies on nazareneisrael.org. May He please continue to lead and guide you.
Shalom. Blessed be Yahweh that the studies are a blessing. The Scripture you are referring to is Shemote (Exodus) 12:2, during the first Pesach. We explain this further in several of our studies. But I would recommend beginning with either the book study The Torah Calendar, or the book/video series Establishing the Head of the Year, or the Feasts of the First Month book/video series (depending on whether you prefer video or the written studies). I will provide quick links below. Shalom. I’m still observing Yom haKippurium. 2024 Starting at sunset Thursday September 26th through sunset Friday 27th on the Gregorian calendar. 7th Month 10th Day. Following the ancient Zadok Priestly calendar. I am glad you mentioned ”Fall & Spring Feasts” not being scriptural. I’ve called them as such, since my beginning Torah walk. I’ll switch to the Feasts of 1st Month & Feasts of 7th Month. Thank you sincerely. May your sacrifices be acceptable to יהרה as I pray mine are. Ahmein and ahmein
Shalom. Blessed be Yahweh that our studies are blessing you. We offer a full library of studies on our website for free. It sounds like you are learning NI doctrine on the Torah Calendar. WOW this is amazing, thank you so much for this teaching. May YHVH bless you and keep you all safe. Are you able to share your notes that you have here in the video ? Please let me know, I would love a copy. Thank you so much for all you do. I am listening to this again. This is a real wake up call for me and I am sure others. Blessings
Blessed be Yahweh! Thank you for the feedback, we are very thankful to be in His service. Concerning the study notes, we are extremely busy during the feast times and have not had the opportunity or the manual ability to convert this entire study into a written version at this time. We may have more time after the feasts, if Yahweh wants it. (This takes some detail work because TH-cam has disabled the transcript function.) Would you please let me know if the notes on the written page are sufficient for what you are looking for? Or if you are wanting a complete copy? nazareneisrael.org/video/yom-kippur-5784-2024-what-does-yahweh/ I remain attentive for your response. And thank you again for the feedback. Praise Elohim that the study was a blessing for you!
Shalom! Apologies, I thought I responded to your comment, but it looks like mabye my response did not save. Currently, due to time limitations and the many studies during the feasts times, we are posting summations of each study to the website. (Feasts times are always very busy for us, and some of the work-flow has changed since we began to go live.) Our website is at nazareneisrael.org. Would you please let me know whether those notes are sufficient for you? And if not, I will see what other options we may have to offer. I hope this is helpful.
I'm glad that you came to the last part of this video - and stated that fasting is NOT a command for Yom Kippur . " Anah " in Hebrew has nothing to do with fasting which i believe is a tradition from Judaism . You state many times in your video's that you only follow the Tanach - nothing more nothing less . Even Elohim clearly says as you pointed out ....this is the fast I want ... reflection and repentence . Because we have the gift of the Holy Spirit we can ask to be guided in these spiritual matters - rather than the extensive fast demanded by Judaism to reach that state of spiritual conciousness . But i won't condem anyone doing a fast because they wish to do so - as long as they don't feel obligated to do so . Heard from one Messianic ministry in the past that if you do not do a complete fast ( food and water ) you won't be accepted into the Kingdom . Most senseless statement i ever heard . Shalom and God bless
Shalom, Cornelis. Thank you for your comments. We also explain this in our studies, but there is no obligation to fast if one feels led differently. The Torah says for us to "afflict our souls" for Yom Kippur, and people sometimes do this in different ways. It should be a personal decision whether to do a physical fast for Yom Kippur, or any other day. (Sometimes, if a woman is pregnant and these type of situations, fasting may not be appropriate. But as Yahweh's people, we should obey the commandment to afflict our souls on this day, in a way that is pleasing unto Elohim.) Many do fast on Yom Kippur, and there is nothing inherently wrong with fasting if one chooses to do so. (Fasting can be a very beneficial both spiritually and physically, if done for the right purpose.) As our Mashiach, Yeshua, taught us, when we fast, we should not do so in a way to appear to be outwardly stricken before others. (Matthew 6:16-18.) Because our Mashiach explained to us how to fast correctly, we know that fasting is not forbidden or wrong. But to fast for the attention of men and not in true prayer and sacrifice before Elohim is vain. A similar mistake is made with rote prayer. If something is done without true dedication to Elohim, in a personal realtionship with Him, then it becomes pointless, and loses any value. As Mashiach also warned the pharisees, we should do everything Yahweh said, and to not leave anything undone. Meaning, we should not think that we can pick and choose one thing to do and to ignore the heavier matters. (Matthew 23:23). But we should remember to do everything Yahweh desires, (which includes the first and the third tithes), and being our brothers' keepers. The important thing to remember for Yom Kipppur is to keep the day set-apart to Elohim, and to devote the day to Him. To put it simple, we should deny our flesh and to focus on the things of Elohim. (Food is simply one of any things our flesh focuses a lot on.)
