shalom shalom, I am new to your channel 🙂thank you for this video, very straight talking which is fantastic! I have a couple of questions if you please. I have been aware of and trying to learn Torah for about 2 years now, it is such a blessing and a privileged walk but sometimes confusing when you were not raised with Torah and there are few around you, if any, who follow it. I have been fasting on a weekly 7th day Shabbat for a year or so now, but someone has said it is a sin as the Book of Jubilees tells us so. May I please ask for your view? Also, I have a lot of Christian friends whom refuse to listen to discussions about Torah, they have nothing but the usual arguments and believe we are deceived. What am I to be to them when I find it increasingly hard to be with them as it feels like we are worshipping a different Elohim and see Maschiach in a completely different way...what am I to be to them? Also, one last question please! How do you view celebrating birthdays? My family have stopped as I felt it was something only pagans did in the Bible, as it seems maybe to be celebrating self? But the few Torah followers I know still celebrate such dates. I am sure I have many other questions, but for now that will suffice! have a blessed week.
Shalom, and welcome. Blessed be Yahweh for every study that helps a brother or sister in their walk with Him. I have been fasting on a weekly 7th day Shabbat for a year or so now, but someone has said it is a sin as the Book of Jubilees tells us so. May I please ask for your view? >> Thank you for your questions. Fasting is not a sin, if done for the right reasons. Fasting has both spiritual and physical benefits when done for the right pupose. We should not fast as a rote ritual because we think we have to, or to do so for a vain purpose, or to gain attention from men. Or to do physical fasting thinking that we gain some credit for it and then not do the other things that Yahweh wants us to do. (Loving our neighbor, caring for the poor, building His kingdom, etc.) But when we do choose to fast, we should do so in order to give our time and focus to Elohim. Yeshua speaks of this in the New Testament in places like Matthew 6. As another example, Acts 14:23 tells us that both Apostle Paul and Barnabas prayed and fasted. And there are other examples. As for the book of Jubilees, it is not counted as inspired Scripture. >> Good question. May Yahweh bless you in your walk. And bring others into your life who believe in keeping Yahweh's Torah and walking as Yeshua walked. (Are you a brother or a sister?) Well, this answer is never an easy one. There cannot be a true connection between those who walk in the Faith and those who are of a different faith or worldly. (Amos 3 asks, can two walk together unless they are agreed?) For this reason, we are called to be set-apart, which is why you are noticing the gulf growing between you and your friends. Most of us who are walking in the Faith today have had to distance from things and people who do not understand or walk as we walk. To not do so usually leaves a growing spiritual conflict, and it will not go away unless either you (Yahweh forbid) or your friends change. The decison is really yours to make and nobody else can really make this decision besides you. But my advise is to distance yourself and remain set-apart. And to continue to pray for your friends! (You can always pray for them!) I understand it will be difficult, but Yahweh is good to give us everything we have need of when we place Him first in our lives. And His blessing are always better. And who knows. Distancing yourself may cause your friends to ask you why, and open an opportunity to try to reach them. But if they do not want to change, the better decision is to distance yourself. Because worldly influence is both conflicting and influencial in negative ways. So it is better to distance, to pray for them, and to pray for Elohim to send others into your life who walk the Faith. Also, one last question please! How do you view celebrating birthdays? My family have stopped as I felt it was something only pagans did in the Bible, as it seems maybe to be celebrating self? @@nazarene-israel Thank you so very much for the time you have taken to respond to my questions. What a blessing! I hear and understand all you have said. In order to full fill Yahshua's big Commission (Matt 28:19) we as Disciples must pass the Test to be Anointed as Elders as only an Elder can Baptiste and lay hands on people. However some of us have had multiple wives before we repented and does not qualify to be Elders. Therefore we cannot execute the Great Commission. What is your thoughts on this disqualification and how can we, as sinners, fulfill the Great Commission?
Shalom, thank you for your question. I recommend our studies on Set-apart communities, leadership, and discipleship. I pray it is helpful. nazareneisrael.org/books/set-apart-communities/ nazareneisrael.org/book/divorce-remarriage-and-leadership/ nazareneisrael.org/video/the-beit-din-structure/ nazareneisrael.org/book/about-the-discipleship-website-v2/ nazareneisrael.org/book/the-spectrum-of-discipleship/ nazareneisrael.org/book/the-role-of-congregational-elders/ nazareneisrael.org/book/congregational-elders-and-servants/
P.S. The study on Set Apart Communities explains about leadership (eldership, deacons, etc.), and also about multiple marriages. (For example, when someone converts from a culture that they previously obtained multiple marriages in, or when someone repents from a past adultery, and these type of situations.) It is true that not everyone is qualified for leadership, and it is very important that the priesthood listens to Elohim's voice when selecting elders and deacons. Not every brother will be qualified for such positions. But anyone can repent of wrongs of the past (which we have all made mistakes), and Elohim can still use each of us according to the giftings that He gives. The point is not titles or roles so much as a full commitment to walk according to His Torah and to listen and to obey His voice. And being the best example to others that we can, while listening to and obeying His voice and supporting His kingdom work however possible is something important for each of us to do, regardless of what role we are in. (Meaning, every role in the body is an important one.) I hope this is encouraging and helpful. And again, the Set Apart Community study gives more details.
Is keeping the Feast of Succot in Diaspora not contrary to the statues and precepts of the Word? Are we not adding by keeping the Feasts in the Diaspora? We are not even allowed to keep the Feasts in the Land, because there is no Temple where we can keep the Feast. Is that not adding to the Word?
Shalom, thank you for your questions. Going out into the dispora was the consequence for Israel not keeping the Torah. While in the Dispora we should keep Torah in every way possible. So things we are not able to do while in the Dispora, due to being under Babylonian ruling goverments, and also due to not being in the land. For one example, we do not support animal sacrifices in the dispora, seeing that Yahweh has chosen Jerusalem again as the location to place His name, and we have no cleansed temple (and will not again until the fourth Temple of Ezekiel 44). As another example, certain punishments spoken of in the Torah may not be done under Babylonian governing systems. But we are to strive to keep all of the Torah as much as possible while in the Dispora. I recommend the following studies for futher information. nazareneisrael.org/books/set-apart-communities/ nazareneisrael.org/books/torah-government/ nazareneisrael.org/books/feasts-of-the-first-month/ nazareneisrael.org/books/acts-15-order/ nazareneisrael.org/books/the-original-faith/
@@nazarene-israel Thanks for your answer. I will read through the studies you recommended. My idea is just that if we do something that is not instructed by Abba then we are actually adding to the Torah. Shalom.😄
Thank you for steering my thoughts in the right direction. The bigger picture in context answered my question. We must be disciples of Yahshua and therefore we must do exactly what he have done and we must be able to learn other Disciples in celebrating the Feasts of Abba. We must do this to establish a Kingdom of Disciples on earth awaiting the return of Yahshua. Thanks again for helping me to keep the Feasts. HalleluYAH!
Blessed be Yahweh. Always very thankful we were are able to help His people do His will. Please let us know if you have further questions. Yahweh be with you.
Isn't elders and decons a system of the Nicolatins and Gentile pyramid system of control YAHUSHA revuked the Sons of thunders mother for asking if they could sit a the side of Him in the Kingdom to come
Shalom. Thank you for your comment. We talk about this in many places, but I will give you a summation here, as follows. I will also post study links below which go into more detail. I hope it is helpful. Sorry, no. The Nicolaitan spirit is not a forbidding of leadership. Spiritually qualified leadership is Yahweh's system, and reestablishing His kingdom the way He wants it is impossible without it. We have one study where we mention the Nicolaitan spirit briefly, but the entire study may be helpful with your question. Concerning leadership, are you a reader and believer of the New Testament? Qualifications for elders and deacons is throughout the New Testament. If we omit order and leadership (which is one error of the Esavite church system and the Messianic movement), we would also have to omit much of the New Testament, including 1 Timothy, Acts, Titus, 1 Peter, Ephesians, Galatians, Philippians. Why would books such as Titus, 1 Timothy, and the other examples give detailed instructions on how to select leadership if leadership is not necessary today? Why would Yeshua's disciples spend so many valuable parchment pages writing about leadership if it was not important? Do you believe what Ephesians 4 says about Yeshua being the one who selected some to have the gifting of leadership? And that this is required for unity, and for eliminating false doctrine, as Ephesians states? And that this Ephesians states this system is required "UNTIL we all come together to the unity of THE faith.... and the fullness of Messiah"? (We are not there yet!) Ephesians 4:11-14 11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Messiah, 13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of Elohim, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Messiah; 14 that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, Do you believe that Yeshua's kingdom is built upon the foundation of apostles and prophets with Yeshua as the Chief Cornerstone, as Ephesians 2 states? Ephesians 2:19-22 19 Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of Elohim, 20 having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Yeshua Messiah Himself being the chief cornerstone, 21 in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a set-apart temple in Yahweh, 22 in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of Elohim in the Spirit. And that Elohim is an Elohim of order? 1 Corinthians 14:32-33 32 And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets. 33 For Elohim is not the author of confusion [disorder] but of peace, as in all the assemblies of the saints. And how would any type of system work without order and leadership? (Is there any successful system in the world that does not have order and leadership? Work, school, individual households?) And how might unity be achieved within a body without establishing order upon those who hear and obey Yahweh's voice? (Is that not the problem Ephraim has today, is that every Messianic and Esavite ministry wants to teach their own thing and do things there own way, selecting the parts of Scripture they choose to keep, and omitting the things unbeneficial to them?) Is there any division in Yahweh's truth? Can there be more than one doctrine? If there can only be one faith and one doctrine (as Jude 3 tells us to "contend for"), how is that doctrine determined without spiritually qualified leadership who hears and obeys Yahweh's voice and His written word? How is unity established without leadership whole submits fully to Yahweh, and then leads the people to do the same? nazareneisrael.org/books/set-apart-communities/ (book) nazareneisrael.org/categories-videos/set-apart-communities/ (video series) nazareneisrael.org/?s=elders (chapters on leadership) nazareneisrael.org/books/torah-government/ (book) spirits in the church: nazareneisrael.org/torah-portion/parasha-balak-2022-the-error-of-balaam/

What is your thoughts on this disqualification and how can we, as sinners, fulfill the Great Commission?
Shalom, thank you for your question.
I recommend our studies on Set-apart communities, leadership, and discipleship. I pray it is helpful.

P.S. The study on Set Apart Communities explains about leadership (eldership, deacons, etc.), and also about multiple marriages. (For example, when someone converts from a culture that they previously obtained multiple marriages in, or when someone repents from a past adultery, and these type of situations.)
It is true that not everyone is qualified for leadership, and it is very important that the priesthood listens to Elohim's voice when selecting elders and deacons.
(Meaning, every role in the body is an important one.)
I hope this is encouraging and helpful.

(We are not there yet!)
Ephesians 4:11-14
11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,
12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Messiah,
13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of Elohim, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Messiah; 14 that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting,
Do you believe that Yeshua's kingdom is built upon the foundation of apostles and prophets with Yeshua as the Chief Cornerstone, as Ephesians 2 states?
Ephesians 2:19-22
19 Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of Elohim,
20 having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Yeshua Messiah Himself being the chief cornerstone,
21 in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a set-apart temple in Yahweh,
22 in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of Elohim in the Spirit.
And that Elohim is an Elohim of order?
1 Corinthians 14:32-33
32 And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.
33 For Elohim is not the author of confusion [disorder] but of peace, as in all the assemblies of the saints.
And how would any type of system work without order and leadership? (Is there any successful system in the world that does not have order and leadership? Work, school, individual households?)
And how might unity be achieved within a body without establishing order upon those who hear and obey Yahweh's voice? (Is that not the problem Ephraim has today, is that every Messianic and Esavite ministry wants to teach their own thing and do things there own way, selecting the parts of Scripture they choose to keep, and omitting the things unbeneficial to them?)
Is there any division in Yahweh's truth? Can there be more than one doctrine?
If there can only be one faith and one doctrine (as Jude 3 tells us to "contend for"), how is that doctrine determined without spiritually qualified leadership who hears and obeys Yahweh's voice and His written word?
How is unity established without leadership whole submits fully to Yahweh, and then leads the people to do the same?

@@nazarene-israelyes we can not pick some of the scripture ,it’s all related . It’s just overwhelming He tells us all that He has done , in the things He commands us to do , nothing is done in secret , Moses the prophets, and apostles tell us all things ,but no one knows how to read with they’re hearts and with faith , they just use they’re eyes , people don’t really believe ,that With God everything is possible , like Abraham believe it people are like Sarah , they read and listen and giggle , and think (how can this be?? ) like nicodemus couldn’t grasp one can born again ( how can this be?? ) and the prophets cry in they’re heart and say “ my people perish by the leak of knowledge “ love you brother
Have a question for you , need your opinion , I want to be circumcised , but don’t know we’re to go , the Lord command us not to do cuts unto ourselves , you think I can circumcise myself , if i can’t find an assembly that are wiling to do that , it’s not very clear who circumcised our father Abraham , somehow I think he circumcised himself , Moses is very clear wen he states no unsurcumsised shall partake on the Passover lamb and be protected by the blood on the door and posts ,

Shalom, brother. Blessed be Yahweh for your dedication to Him.
Please excuse the delayed response. I was gathering some information for you. (Norman congratulates you on your good decision.)
We do not recommend doing the proceedure yourself. It is better to have assistance for the proceedure.
Are you in the USA? And can you do a deep dive search for a mohel (circumcision specialist) in his area? You will want to make sure the mohel is not anti-Yeshua. We favor the light cut as per the website (although most mohels will not want to do that).

If you are unable to find the appropriate mohel where you are, we do know a brother in Yeshua who peforms circumcisions. However, this brother is not in the US, so a plane trip would likely be necessary. If you have further questions, please feel free to contact us at contact@nazareneisrael.org.
