I've been swinging over the top for the last 20 years, between this and some of Danny Maud's video's I'm finally swinging in too out, it really makes the game so much easier, thanks lads, 👍
Dave is a true pro. His tips are spot on and very relatable. I would love to see a weekly "playing tip" from Dave - on the course and a tip on what to do in different situations. Maybe through on a few with him trying to help Ebay or Mr. B on course! Great stuff.
I’ve watched Dave’s instruction video this morning before going to the range. My ball striking has been very inconsistent until now! I tried the drill and it worked wonders, not only in my ball striking but I also gained distance too. Thanks Dave and Liam for helping me enjoy my golf even more!
Love the tips with Dave :) would always like to have more, also more greens keeper shout outs please and thank you :) hope your have good weather and thanks again
Great stuff from Dave! An excellent explanation on how to shallow the club. I would like to see more tips, specially for the short game... shots from 100m in. I hate when I miss a green from 80m... Thanks in advance and keep it up!
For the first drill, you can grip with an alignment stick touching your hip on the left, it really helps see where the butt of the club is and helps with both moves up and down! Good tip Dave!
Dave & Liam I tried the back foot placement today, as I was struggling with the over the top movement and started to far back but within a few shots I found what was ok for me it also made the feel of my hip movement was better. Thanks
Great instructional video. I had my left hip replaced on May 1 and will be headed to the range for the first time since the surgery in the next few days. I will definitely be trying these drills.
I’ve had a similar problem with coming over the top and pulling my iron shots left. This morning I placed my right foot back slightly and, bingo the ball went where I aimed the club. Simple. Great video and more tips please.
I’ve incorporated this first drill as my preshot routine and my last few rounds have been my most consistent ball striking rounds I’ve ever had. Cheers Dave!
I really like Dave’s lessons. He’s exactly right you take the club too far inside on the takeaway. With that type of swing you will either come over the top and hit a pull or a slice depending on how your body corrects for coming inside too quickly. Sometimes you will hit a good shot but that is more of an accident. There are some pro golfers who come inside and hit it well but they are hitting hundreds of golf balls a day. I bring the relatively straight back, although the swing is actually a circle. I don’t shallow as much as Dave shows because my swing is somewhat of a single plane. Keep the lessons coming.
great tip from Dave, a similar one I learnt from a pro in Manchester is to use a wall for that lag feel that dave mentions on the way down. holding the club the other way round and letting the grip run along the wall through the start of the backswing. Think I'll give this tip a go though, I struggle from time to time with the flip
I shoot low to mid 80s, high 70s on a good day, so my ball striking is reasonable. But just been to range and tried this, it’s a real gamechanger for anyone who comes over the top a bit
And that ladies and gents is why Dave is a pro
More tips from Dave please as he seems to explain it in a straight and simple way 🙏 🏌♂️⛳️🏴

I’ve had a similar problem with coming over the top and pulling my iron shots left. This morning I placed my right foot back slightly and, bingo the ball went where I aimed the club. Simple.

Dave is class.
I'm a leftie, and moving the right foot back works for me, it opens my body clear to follow through, great tip thanks Dave.
Great video more tips from Dave please? I could do with a fix for slicing my driver.
great tip from Dave, a similar one I learnt from a pro in Manchester is to use a wall for that lag feel that dave mentions on the way down. holding the club the other way round and letting the grip run along the wall through the start of the backswing. Will be trying this next time out. The second tip reminds me of OMP, he drags right foot back just before his swing and it works for him
Liam v Lester Barnes would be gold.. Good match.. Great banter.. Be great to see him on the channel ☘️👍🏼
