Forget more movies, I’d like to see the TV series (Sara Conner chronicles) continued. It was really good.
I agree, although I'd like it with the original cast who may be too old to continue from where they left off at the end of s2 now. Sarah Connor Chronicles was my favourite after T1 and T2.
Poor Summer Glau has a history of being in really good sci Fi shows that get cancelled. She was also in Firefly

Even the game terminator resistance, that didn't have the great graphics that other games have, manage to give a good set up the future war o even a movie to adapt, respecting the OG
They should've focus in some story line following the events of Salvation, exploring the relationship between John and Kyle and attaching all the loose links in order for some final salvation movie to be directly connected to how T1 began. TSalvation is so underrated and so full if little details.
03:12 TDarkFate flopped BECAUSE of two reasons: they killed John Connor, making all previous deaths in vane. And they told us the same story AGAIN for the fourth time
The only reason that the Terminator is a series of movies is because they overlook the fact that in the first Terminator movie Reese said that war with the machines was one possible future
And they literally stopped it in T2, yet... They seem determined to make this war inevitable, and I do not understand why.

After seeing The Creator , I'll make my own T7 focusing on the future war.
Here’s an idea. Just make the plot where John Connor sends Kyle Reese through time, bringing the story full fucking circle ⭕️ already. No more complications, twists, turns to postpone the inevitable.
Because we know it’s gonna be another flop

As a normal regular fan of the franchise, I don't mind seeing the movies that broke the timeline but if THE robot not wanting to return, then the franchise should die with him. You could still make content out of it, but only if you bring something new to the table
Honestly the hardest part of dark fate was swallowing whatever nonsense they did in the beginning.

T2, Sarah Conner Chronicles, T1 and finally T3 which is better than people give it credit for. What I would like to see is what happens directly after Rise of The Machines when they emerge fron that fallout shelter. How exactly did John Connor become the legend?
I liked Dark Fate. Felt it was the best of the attempts. Only issue with it was, it didn’t hold the viewers hand with its rules to set the story, and left it vague, possibly to explore in its sequels. When you analyze the film deeper, you can see what they were going for. That & it didn’t help it was in an time where negativity was at an all time high with hateful agendas.
Still, if anyone can make sense of a continuation or into a new world for the franchise, Cameron I believe he can make a good story to follow.
You know there's a books Terminator from 1988 & in the books the time line jumps around with different outcomes to the future and past
Because the makers dont know what to do now they messed up the franchise
They should continue the "Salvation" timeline. All those reboots attempts failed miserably.

Terminator Salvation's original ending had an interesting spin where John Connor "dies" and gets his conscience switched with Marcus. However the director or producers went to other way which IMO was a mistake. I will say the comic book one where Skynet makes peace with the Resistance was actually more believable and probably where the movies should have gone. Not this reboot Genesis crap or alternate timelines (Dark Fate).
But since we are talking sequels, I will say IMO that T2 was the conclusion to the Terminator story. Some movies do not need a sequel unless it is really well written.

Honestly, T1, T2 extended Cut are really a Good end. T3, Salvation Follow a Dark What IF, So Does Genisis and Dark Fate. I love them all Dark or Light.

I liked all of them but whatever each to their own. T2 will always be the best no matter what though. I don't see how the franchise can continue without Arnie though he literally is the terminator. The worst was salvation in my opinion because he wasn't really in it. Still I hope they make more as it's a great concept and very close to reality as we experience it now...
Terminating John Connor was a bad idea by Cameron.
Cameron made some nice movies way back, but like Lucas / Spielberg, it didn't last.
What they need to do is revitalize a franchise they people excited through video games. We need a good Terminator game.
They should continue the "Sarah Conner Chronicles" story-line. The actors are still young enough to reprise their roles, perhaps with some digital de-aging for Summer Glau's character.
I wanted to add that the digital de-aging comment was because her character is an android and therefor wouldn't age. It has absolutely nothing to do with Summer Glau's appearance as she is still quite lovely.

My Vision would be is to Tie to the The Earlier Movies.... still Focus on the War between Humans and the Machines but also Focus on John Connor taking Kyle Reese back to 1984 and then John find a T-800 but after having a Fight with that T-800 that one would be Reprogrammed to work with the Resistance but would go back to 1995 to Protect Young John Connor when John Finds out that a T-1000 is going back to 1995 and since Arnold doesn't want to be in the Movies? The T-800 can just be Endoskeleton until it goes into the Portal to go back to 1995

How to fix the terminator franchise: 1. Go back to the horror elements of T1. 2. Stop making every sequel like T2. 3. Do it on a smaller budget. 4. Dont cast arnold again. 5. Keep it simple.

Fans don't want to see an A.I. driven Terminator movie, sounds way too much like Terminator Genesis. I feel like they're forgetting that skynet is A.I., it's been there since the very beginning. The reason fans weren't responding to these last couple movies is because they keep killing off John Connor. We were expecting the entire story to revolve around him as an adult. In one movie they kill him as an adult and the other one they go back and kill him as a child, these were both horrible ideas that never should have made it to the big screen. Just don't retcon the first three movies, don't kill off any major characters and make a post Judgement Day movie.
We don't need another sequel and don't need a reboot. Just leave the Terminator franchise alone! The first two films will ALWAYS be the successors!
They need some fresh blood there. I wouldnt use any of logacy actors or even characthers. Probably to be something in that world but totally new. Perhaps some small and cheap story kind of movie. Origin of Skynet maybe could be intressting to tackl in.
The Terminator and T2 will always be classics, two of the best films ever made. Salvation was really good. Genisys could've been great had they not ruined the film with giving away the John Connor twist in the trailers. TSCC was great but could've benefited from being shorter. i.e 10ep seasons to save on filler. Woke fate and T3 garbage
hate me or not but i enjoy all things terminators even dark fate i enjoyed it... why does everyone have to fight like "its a bad movie it must die" it was made YOU dont have to like it some of us liked the last movies.
Killing John Connor made whatever Sarah did pointless....the t2 Sarah would have been completely broken if John died she wouldn't simply adopt a daughter and move on

Personally, I'd like for James Cameron to STEP AWAY FROM WRITING/DIRECTING anymore 'Terminator'/A.I. apocalypse stories. The guy has pretty much "hit-it-out-of-the-park"--concerning HOW many of his sci-fi films have accurately portrayed certain aspects of near-future/future world prerogatives & idiosyncracies. We are >THIS Close!< to transformative A.I.s dominating most aspects of life globally; I don't want his fertile, prophetic brain releasing more bad, "I-Told-You-So!"-ideas. Into a world that has used Orwell's "1984" as a 'How-To' guide.

Terminator 1 and 2 were the best, Terminator Salvation was okay, but the rest were miserable failures, either being sloppy or outright giving a double flip off in our face.

Terminator 2 has been my favorite movie for 30 years, everything from 3 on sucks, especially dark fate and genysis. Just leave it alone franchise has been beaten to death
but at this point I ain't Excited for Terminator 7! I at least supported Terminator 3 and 4 (Aka Rise of the Machines and Salvation) but Terminator 5 and 6 I'm thinking to myself...... you killed the Horse and now your Beating it's Dead Corpse into the Ground! why haven't we see a Terminator 7? most likely it will Suck!
There is a way to do a terminator sequel without Schwarzenegger, do a sequel to genisys. That t 800 got upgraded with the mimetic polyalloy. So it's appearance could always be altered.
Despite what the video said genisys actually ranks as third in terms if gross revenue among the terminator movies. It could've gotten a sequel that could've fixed the problems some haters had with genisys. Because of all the unfair vitriol, we wound up with dark fate. This is what happens when you fans that so married to the original 2 movies bitch and whine when genisys producers tried to do something new while still maintaining some commonality with rest of the franchise
I personally think it was a big improvement to recast sarah and Kyle. Linda Hamilton and Michael biehn have as much acting range as a telephone pole. Clarke and Courtney actually made their roles more lively. Although their performances weren't perfect Hamilton and biehn start to get annoying over time. This is one reason why I find genisys way more watchable than any of the movies.
A lot of people criticize the time travel which is a total bs criticism. Time travel is key component of this franchise after all. If more than one trip is shown in a movie then don't be surprised. Genisys wasn't even that hard to follow which leads me to conclude that atleast certain members of the audience didn't pay proper attention to this movie, and they blame a less than optimal experience on the film instead of themselves.
If you didn't like Dark Fate, you're not a fan, and your opinion doesn't count.
