I have never seen a projection that had Glaze higher than a 5th rounder, but frankly, I am not mad at all. he's got a crazy wingspan and he is strong as hell. he may end up being a RG when JPJ kicks back in to C once Andre James' deal is over, but I think he still ends up being a solid starter eventually.
Yeah, he was a tangibles pick, and I like it. If he can step it up there's some nice potential with him. This was a complete draft that made sense for what our team looks like now. Just QB and RT need answers
To be fair though, there were a few other tackles that went in the 3rd round that were projected later as well. At least he has position flexibility so even if he doesn't work out at tackle, a 3rd round starting guard is still solid value.
I like the big corner in the 4th round. I think the Raiders absolutely nailed the 1st 2 rounds, also like the sleeper running back, on tape he has a great first step & nice feet & shoulder movement.

Bro my son is a WR at UNI and the UDFA Woo Governor from UNI is a DB who brings the wood, and is a great kid. So happy he has this opportunity with the Raiders
Disappointed we never took a QB thanks to Atlanta so let’s see what AOC & Minchew can do now we have guys surrounding them but on the bright side we took someone from The University of Oregon for the first time since 1966 in JPJ he’s gonna be a Tank for our OL for years to come. Also took one of my Favorite LBs the one I’ve been looking at for quite a while in Tommy Eichenberg he’s an absolute Animal! Happy we took one of my favorite RBs in this years draft in Laube all and all I tip my hat to Tom for a Job well done in his first Year as our GM so let’s get Buzy!

Yes it would have been, but if that first part happens it changes the order and JPJ probably isn’t there for us. It worked out how it did. Look how the selection of Penix altered things. That’s why every team was shocked. Teams had their boards and the Vikings threw every team into alternate scenarios. But I like your vision for the trenches.

I think Antonio Pierce and Tom Telesco are brilliant hires by Mark Davis. The thing is, they don't have to be great for the Raiders to take a step forward. As long as they aren't complete dumpster fires, the team will get better. McDaniels was such a drain on players and morale. John Gruden destroyed the roster with numerous first round busts, player trades, and player acquisitions of which there are far too many mistakes to list here. My point is, just don't screw the pooch and we'll get better. When I watched NFL Network's coverage of the Brock Bowers pick, all of the analysts agreed it was a "best player available" pick, and a great value. I am 45 years old. I can't think of one other time in my life, when the Raiders' first round pick outside the top 10, was described as "best player available" and a great value. Not once. Ever.

Don’t get me wrong I am not mad about it and I know he will be a great addition. But it’s like why didn’t we get the very best half back available… because we don’t need one. Our QBs are both ok as in average. For them to excel they need way better than average o line. If we run 2 TE sets like 15-20% of the time this will be the most amazing and intelligent pick for the Raiders in over a decade. If we don’t we will see same thing we have for the last 20 years- a run that might get us to a play off game and no farther. We could have #1 defense but if we can’t break 21 points a game we don’t go big. Been a fan since 1974. I am tired of bargin basement shopping for o line. I didn’t like the hiring of Telesco, but it’s clear he has more authority with the Raiders than he ever did with the DisChargers. He drafted players that fit the Raiders re-emerging culture, while avoiding moves pushed by the media and fans that would have set the team back years.
This was the first draft, in a LOOOOOOOONG time, that I don't have questions. I give the team a B to B+ grade, past seasons would have been lucky to get a C. Have a great day Carl.

You are the second person who is excited about last years draft and I thought for a team drafting 7th overall we didn't get much help at all I do like Tre Tucker though.
Only two players were remotely considered reaches on any big board, all 6 other picks were at least 10-20 picks later than their expected draft position. The two reaches were mainly because of major runs that happened on that position, in that round, which happened with both Tackle and CB.

Read the article that says the new offensive coordinator coached him in the senior bowl and he was very impressed by the talent. He needs technique and consistent coaching, wingspan , size and strength are all ready there. It all falls on the players drive ( heart ) if he’s willing to put in the time and effort you have a 10 year starting RT……

This was one of the best if not the best draft this team had in the past decade. Easily a B+ to A- grade. Tom and AP were smart and picked the best guys that will fit their system. Anyone complaining about these picks, especially Bowers, should open their eyes and do research on these guys...theyre good.
Not sure how great this draft was, we have to see them suit up first. But, this draft felt very disciplined and intentional and if nothing else this draft should have a high floor.
Compared to the last three years, he nailed it. Luxury pick Brock Bowers is going to be great. The top center in college football from Oregon. Tall corners, no players that we have to rehab. No crazy reaches. Now let them stop our two tight end sets.
3rd and 4th round picks where stretch. The 4th round pick was a UDFA the 300th ranked player in the 4th round. But all the other picks were good to great players.
If the Raiders couldn't trade up for a QB, drafting Bowers and Jackson Powers Johnson makes a lot of sense. Bowers will give AOC/Minshew another weapon and a safety outlet. And JPJ will help improve the interior pass and run blocking. I wish they would sign Stephon Gilmore on D and we'll be in good shape.

Other than Glaze, hard to argue with this draft. One of their best drafts in the last 25 years, granted the bar is pretty low
Not sure how great this draft was, we have to see them suit up first. But, this draft felt very disciplined and intentional and if nothing else this draft should have a high floor.

Compared to the last three years, he nailed it. Luxury pick Brock Bowers is going to be great. The top center in college football from Oregon. Tall corners, no players that we have to rehab. No crazy reaches. Now let them stop our two tight end sets.
How did he nail it they didn't get a quarter back.
What if Aiden is that guy. He did very well last year for a guy that got thrown in there after the last regime didn't plan to play him.
3rd and 4th round picks where stretch. The 4th round pick was a UDFA the 300th ranked player in the 4th round. But all the other picks were good to great players.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Bowers is used more as a reciever while the Raiders have Mayer as the true TE1.
Bowers is a better blocker so I doubt it

@libertas_americana I didn't say that. I was responding to the fact that out of the two tight ends bowers is the better blocker.
I think Trey will be a steal and can push to be a starter. I have high hopes for him.
If the Raiders couldn't trade up for a QB, drafting Bowers and Jackson Powers Johnson makes a lot of sense. Bowers will give AOC/Minshew another weapon and a safety outlet. And JPJ will help improve the interior pass and run blocking. I wish they would sign Stephon Gilmore on D and we'll be in good shape.
As in every draft there are only a handful of players that are considered "sure things" and Bowers was one of them.
