I don't know why these guys aren't global superstars. This is the most emotive version of Wish You Were Here by a fucking long shot, Christy had a stage presence to rival anyone, and yet I was 35 before I even heard of them, even though I grew up in Scotland and made a living through music my whole life. Dad, I miss you.
As a 70 yo Australian I have been listening to all forms of music since the 60 s and I must say this band is right up there. One of my regrets in life now is that I’ve just found them. So sad.
My buddy found them earlier this year and I'm sad I've missed them all these years. They don't have any presence here in the States and it's shameful. Truly a fantastic band!
Poor Christy is terminally ill and in palliative care. It's very sad that the life of such and amazing talent and a true Irish icon is being cut short. But his music will live on!
