From this perspective, Bruno's emotional turnabout in the clock tower makes even more sense. He's really taken ownership of Trish and all his friends' well-being like a true parent. When he says "No family worries about that," it's not that he's being naive or simply lying to sooth Trish's feelings. He GENUINELY BELIEVES that a family would not half to worry about backstabbing each other, because that's not what the word "Family" means to Bruno.
So when Trish's ACTUAL father tries to kill her, that truly is the lowest possible thing a person can do in Bruno's eyes. The antithesis of everything he stands for. This is why he tells Diavalo "You'll never understand how I feel." Because he at that point is more of a parent to Diavalo's child than the villain even would try to understand.

Bucciarati is such a key character in this part that his noble character and good decisions were what brought together the gang and lead to the best ending. If only he decided to not take each member of the gang under his wing and sacrifice himself for his goal his dream wouldn't have been realised. Bruno was a selfless person who truly cared for the people around him.the complete opposite of diavolo and I found that to be completely inspiring and I could truly believe each word he was equal inspiring dialogue as Giono and that is amazing showing how not only one character but many can also be the main protagonist in there own way.and Bruno in my eyes is the puriest person we've ever seen in JoJo equal to Jonathan jostar.BRUNO BEST JOBRO
