  • How do you plan your homeschool schedule with multiple kids and different grade levels? It can be tough. How do you organize each kid with different subjects, when do you group stuff, when do you do one on one, and HOW DO YOU TIME IT?? Well, this is how I plan my homeschool schedule with my 5 kids. In this video I plan a completely different schedule then the one I'm currently using, juggling 4 kids and a baby. I have been using this method for 3 years, its not that hard and, more importantly, YOU CAN DO IT TOO!

    Hey guys! I'm Summer Meyers, homeschool mom to five kiddos, and we talk all things homeschool on this channel. Homeschool community is important to me--talking about homeschool and encouragement to be our best selves for our children is powerful. I love talking home education and really diving into what makes homeschool work. We are an eclectic homeschool, mixing Charlotte Mason, Wildschooling/adventure schooling, and Unit studies. I have kinesthetic learners as well as visual learners who thrive on being outdoors and soaking up God's green earth. I love hearing from other families who are choosing to school at home, so please introduce yourself in the comments! Being at home is hard, and taking on the education of our kids is even harder. Know that you are not alone in this journey and that you can do it!

      It's the only way I can keep multiple kids with different things going straight in my head. 😅 I wouldn't say I'm a super visual person, but I can't stand erasing stuff to move it around. Haha! 💕💕

    For homeschooling we don't need fancy things to be done or material to buy. It's simpler and natural way of learning based on our values that basically facilitates our child to persue his /her own interest.

    Seeing this was so helpful and encouraging!! Most people that I see that have as many kids as you come across as boastful that they “have it all together” and you just seemed so real and it was refreshing and made think I can do it too! ❤️❤️ thank you!

      This made me giggle too 😂 you remind me of myself, "she is a blue person" *grabs a pencil*... *Realizes it's not sharpened* 😅 totally relatable.
      On a serious note, thank you for this video. The visual schedule process just made so much sense for my brain.

    Hello, I have just two students and I do write out their schedule in my daily schedule book. I feel like this is time consuming only with two. While I like the Post-It ideas for individual kids which do set good expectations, how long does it take to do everyday? Do you do this a night before or in the morning?

    • @SummerMeyers
      @SummerMeyers  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      This is something I do once, sometimes twice a year, definitely not everyday--it would take too long. 😅 This is just to setup a daily schedule that is consistent so they know what to expect each day.
      This daily schedule is fairly rigid, meaning I try not to schedule doctor appointments, playdates, etc during our school hours.
      This school year we did more of a routine, where we cycled through each subject which was far more flexible and lent itself better to the season of life we were in.
      I am planning on filming more scheduling ideas and daily planning in July. I have done the paper route with daily planning, but I have found the app Trello to be sooo much easier to do daily planning. Look up homeschool planning with Trello on TH-cam-- hopefully that will give you an idea of what I do until I can post in July. ❤️❤️
