Wow this is amazing how you broke it down I feel so stressed watching others most of them babble on and don’t get to the point which overwhelms me further since planning is already a lot in itself. Thank you for getting to the point making it simple enough to understand ❤
This was so helpful, I’ve been trying for years to create a schedule that works but I’ve never been this thorough. I will rewatch the video and create my schedule per your recommendation. I think the loop schedule is a great idea sometimes I find that I don’t get to the more creative and fun thing as often as I would like!
It was a real light bulb moment when I started timing everything out and realized, "well that's why I never get it "all" done". There are not enough hours in the day ha-ha!
Oh thank you! It's a rare occasion when they are actually painted, but here's proof I had pretty nails one day :) Good luck planning, hope it goes great for you!
I really enjoyed this video and find it very helpful! We also switched from Primary 22 to Primary US Edition this year, but it seemed like something was missing when we started division. Now I know why.
@@knowledgebynature8480 I blocked out my studies, homework and other important stuff, and I got nearly everything done!! I had to move my Music Practice to the evening, but I have something to look forward too!! 😄
Oh my I can't remember for sure. We did lots of reading aloud and lots of learning games. I'd say probably around 3 hours but that included lots of fun learning.
Helpful video! I don’t know if I missed it but when do you incorporate the loop schedule you created with the science and other stuff. Is it part of the morning basket?
How would you do this for multiple kids? This is my struggle. My youngest is easy as hes prek, but i have a 6th grader who struggles doing things independently and a 2nd grader who is still (of course) very dependent one me 😅
I only have my 4th grader, but I wonder if you have any family Subjects if you could block time for that and block a time that you work independently with each? For instance block math with 6th grader while 2nd grader has independent time or even playtime, followed by a block of time with your 2nd grader while 6th grader independently reads?
That’s how I do it with my kiddos. I have a 5 year old and and 8 year old but my 5 year old is reading and understanding on a 3rd level so we will do language arts together ( but she has her workbook on subjects she needs to brush up on like 180 days of spelling and word study for 1st we work on that separately). We also do science, social studies/ geography, nature study and African study as a family. We only do math and a little bit of language arts independently.
How do you get enough of the curriculum done if you're only doing certain things once a week? (Ie science and history, that want you to do several days a week) Do you combine the different lessons and squish them into one?
That's correct, depending on the grade level that changes. For 4th grade we do history and science each 2 days a week. We double the time we spend on them allowing us to cover multiple lessons in one day.
Do you have a video of how you combine Primary and Beast Academy? And what age is your learner? Which levels are you on? We switched to Dimensions KB from Abeka and are adding in Beast Academy 1. Taking Beast Academy very slow.
I do not have a video on that. On a "normal" schedule, we BA once a week and Primary the other days. I have a 3rd grader and we use level 3 of Primary and bounce around with BA. Currently we are in level 3 of BA but we were also working in level 2 earlier this year (we do the online version so we can use any level). BA is usually used as a supplemental way to cover math to have a break from Primary. I agree that BA usually needs to so done much slower.

This is a helpful breakdown of how the loop schedule works!
Thank you very much!
Great video....I have all these expectations on all we should be doing but I have never taken notice of how long things take. Great tip

I'm loving this schedule, glad enjoyed it. Yes the switch was a tricky one from PM22 to US 😊
Thank you soo much. We are starting kinder and it is so overwhelming
Looking back on those years I wish I'd slowed things down a little. Try not overwhelm yourself and enjoy them!

About how long of schooling did you do per day for kindergarten?
Oh my I can't remember for sure. We did lots of reading aloud and lots of learning games. I'd say probably around 3 hours but that included lots of fun learning.
Cool

That is correct, history, science and geography are looped every morning during the morning block.
Thanks for watching :)
Thanks for responding! Started making my block/loop schedule today. So far so good😊
Yay!! I hope it works great for you!
