This really feels like a goodbye, all of their solo work does. Im so glad they went on a hiatus because you can really tell how difficult and sad it was for them the last 3 years, now that they can rest and be themselves they can heal through their own music. To me it isnt as important if they're gonna come back as BTS again, but if they are truly happy and in their industry that's hardly achievable, they hide so much from the public, so i want them happy and free, they deserve it. 💜

I always do watch MVs twice, first without lyrics (i'm devouring the visuals first) then with lyrics after, and you know what, i cried watching even without the lyrics, then cried harder after i read it and understood the song. it's namjoon telling his whole story as an artist in one song, his struggles, fears, the pressure and how he just wanted to be himself as he grow older. and i'm just so proud of him for being so brave. i also read a comment that wildflower is also for the people who lost track in life, people who are confused with their life and their purpose. this song tells us that it's fine to fail, to feel pressured, to disappoint ourselves at some point of our lives. what important is we stay grounded and to just ourselves always. wildflower is an epitome of peace.

You're the first one to say what I've been thinking!! I was feeling a little selfish also because I always want more of them (and they all give us so much already) . I'm feeling guilty of making things harder on him and I never want him (or them) to feel pressured like that. The whole album gave us a real glimpse into Joons brain and it was so much more then most of us knew. I want him to be happy. He deserves it.

Good wordplay here. “Fireworks” is 불꽃놀이 in korean, which literally means “playing with fire flowers” , so a lot like 들꽃놀이 (playing with wildflowers). Maybe….he wants to play no longer with flames and fire but wishes to be “grounded” on the open field with “wild” flowers where he can be his raw self.

Youjeen's voice is AMAZING, she's the lead vocal on a Korean rock band called Cherry Filter - and those rock vocals are so well used here. It's such an emotional song.
My interpretation is that he wants to bury his old self and return to his roots ( wild flowers ) He uses several times flowers as a metaphor for himself - like in still life. He dosen't want to be an idol anymore/ on display. He wants to be original/ alive / wild, so he has to step back a little bit and find himself. He also keeps talking about that this album represent his twenties and he is now entering a new fase in his 30's - "a new chapter" in his life. So don't worry the message is the same as it has been all along - they are breaking up/going to the military but they will come back - in a new way.

Flowerworks vs fireworks... the flowers he wants are flowerworks this was started back in 2019... it ends well and is full of hope. When you feel that way... go to your flower field. I think when all of them come back from the military... they are going to be different with a different structure. Hey, the next challenge and transition will be all getting married and having children... another break and a change of music. I love Namjoon and I too want him to be happy.

I felt exactly like you, when you mentioned how, as an Army, want them to be active and around all the time and get so much happy with all the new things but they are not a peace. I also when he said "I can't go to the stars again", it's like when they always have said they wanted to reach a level and somehow they ended up so much higher and were not ready for it; for what it would mean, and now that they are entering chapter 2, they don't want to be that BTS, I think they want something calmer and I hope we, as Army can understand and respect that. It's a song that strikes deep, I know it hit me in the same way. He's lived a life in his 20s that many will never relate to or have the opportunity to experience yet everything he has to say resonates so universally. He's genuinely a very very special person. If I can make one recommendation per your decision on tiny desk (and I know everyone enjoys music in their own way), Namjoon mentioned he hoped fans could listen through the album as is, in order, for the full experience. Not everyone know behind the meaning of this and for me, there's a lot more to interpret in Korean's culture perspective (the meaning behind the Korean's words that Namjoon use). I always do watch MVs twice, first without lyrics (i'm devouring the visuals first) then with lyrics after, and you know what, i cried watching even without the lyrics, then cried harder after i read it and understood the song.
it's namjoon telling his whole story as an artist in one song, his struggles, fears, the pressure and how he just wanted to be himself as he grow older. and i'm just so proud of him for being so brave.
i also read a comment that wildflower is also for the people who lost track in life, people who are confused with their life and their purpose. this song tells us that it's fine to fail, to feel pressured, to disappoint ourselves at some point of our lives. what important is we stay grounded and to just ourselves always. wildflower is an epitome of peace.

I'm feeling guilty of making things harder on him and I never want him (or them) to feel pressured like that. The whole album gave us a real glimpse into Joons brain and it was so much more then most of us knew. I want him to be happy. He deserves it.

Good wordplay here. “Fireworks” is 불꽃놀이 in korean, which literally means “playing with fire flowers” , so a lot like 들꽃놀이 (playing with wildflowers). Maybe….he wants to play no longer with flames and fire but wishes to be “grounded” on the open field with “wild” flowers where he can be his raw self.
Have you watched the Tiny desk RM did, if you haven't give it a listen. Darkskin is with him in the episode. Song is beautiful, Youjeen's voice is wonderful and compliments his voice so we'll.

Hi, i am back. Good reaction, ty. RM wrecked us bad. I cried reading the lyrics my 1st read through. Damn, RM! It hurts that he felt this way. Dang it. This brings me back to what he said at Festa Dinner. Youjeen was perfect. Don't know her but she sounded great. I look forward to learning more about her. She is a 45yo rock singer. Her band are legends in Korea. By the way he did a live on Weverse too. Not the live i was expecting. 😅Hope u can react to that as well. U can watch it here they posted it. When I watched the Festa dinner I felt this break was more for RM . The whole group needs it to find themselves but I felt RM needed more and to go back to being Kim Nam-Joon then he can come back to being RM with a renewed energy . I think he saying he lost his identity people only think of him as RM , he had to only think of RM and BTS but that not the only part of him he is Kim Nam-Joon as well, he can be both people. That's what I got from it. I could be way off though. It's a beautiful and powerful song. So proud of him.

On his MV 3:03 that's what you call "Nakhwanori" or Traditional Korean Firework festival. Joon wants to pay tribute to the Traditional Koreans who still does this. The 'Nakhwa nori' festival is a traditional fireworks display that is held in May to pray for the well-being and good year of the people. Joon clarified that is not CGI, he has to close his eyes most of the time because it's dangerous for the eyes. Hope you see this comment.

I thought it was brilliant the way he was able to capture the fact that "flower" and "firework" are the same/similar in Korean by inventing the English word "flowerwork" ... and just the whole theme of Fireworks (high in the sky, burning brightly but brief) vs wildflowers (on the ground, blooming repeatedly, able to survive harsh conditions) was brilliantly done. Youjeen's voice is AMAZING, she's the lead vocal on a Korean rock band called Cherry Filter - and those rock vocals are so well used here. It's such an emotional song.

My interpretation is that he wants to bury his old self and return to his roots ( wild flowers ) He uses several times flowers as a metaphor for himself - like in still life. He dosen't want to be an idol anymore/ on display. He wants to be original/ alive / wild, so he has to step back a little bit and find himself. He also keeps talking about that this album represent his twenties and he is now entering a new fase in his 30's - "a new chapter" in his life. So don't worry the message is the same as it has been all along - they are breaking up/going to the military but they will come back - in a new way.
I know but I want all of them to take rest for sometime all 7 to disappear together and come back stronger together I don't know how to explain.... I am sad!!

Flowerworks vs fireworks... the flowers he wants are flowerworks this was started back in 2019... it ends well and is full of hope. When you feel that way... go to your flower field. I think when all of them come back from the military... they are going to be different with a different structure. Hey, the next challenge and transition will be all getting married and having children... another break and a change of music. I love Namjoon and I too want him to be happy.

I felt exactly like you, when you mentioned how, as an Army, want them to be active and around all the time and get so much happy with all the new things but they are not a peace. I also when he said "I can't go to the stars again", it's like when they always have said they wanted to reach a level and somehow they ended up so much higher and were not ready for it; for what it would mean, and now that they are entering chapter 2, they don't want to be that BTS, I think they want something calmer and I hope we, as Army can understand and respect that.

It's a song that strikes deep, I know it hit me in the same way. He's lived a life in his 20s that many will never relate to or have the opportunity to experience yet everything he has to say resonates so universally. He's genuinely a very very special person. If I can make one recommendation per your decision on tiny desk (and I know everyone enjoys music in their own way), Namjoon mentioned he hoped fans could listen through the album as is, in order, for the full experience. As a longtime army, it's one of my most memorable full album sit throughs I've ever experienced. I'm sure you're eager to get to tiny desk, I just wanted to offer my experienceThe beginning of the video and when youjeen sings the hook reminds me of RM and Jimin on American Hustle Life watching the fireworks and being in amazement of them. It brings a warm and fuzzy feeling to me. I love this album and it has a really good vibe where you can listen and reflect on your own life or just chill and enjoy the eclectic group of songs on the album. EDIT: . Actually I did listen to the album. It's great as expected. I guess everyone can find at least one song to relate to. The album is pretty diverse. A jazzy bop, a simple relaxing song, sexy seducing song, a hard hitting angry... you may find it all

I love how you guys explain the cinematic view of this MV. Not everyone know behind the meaning of this and for me, there's a lot more to interpret in Korean's culture perspective (the meaning behind the Korean's words that Namjoon use). I've read somewhere that if you knew Korean Language, it will be more sad than English translation.
