I haven’t built a challenger yet, what you see here is a big boy and daylight. They run smoothly because I have had years of practice building these things. On average they cost $200. Thanks for watching!
*Big boy* sorry. I wasn’t paying attention because I started commenting before the clip of big boy showed up. But that’s a lot for a loco. But I can understand it, my custom Hogwarts Express was about $100 in brick link orders. I haven’t been able to get Ben Bricks wheels or custom connecting rods yet because I’m low on funds. So work like this is impressive to me.
Wow, these models are great, this is just a suggestion, but are you able to build a British steam locomotive like the flying scotsman with double tenders or an a4 pacific as they they would look beautiful on your set I think, and keep up on the great work, congrats for 200 sub
I build them to use trained bricks, but to save money I make my own from technic parts that are the same shape and geometry as the trained bricks rods. I could change over to official trained bricks rods whenever because the geometry is the same. Thanks for your question!
This is honestly amazing, I model in HO, N scale and some lionel. These are so good i thought they were models till i saw the title, im so glad your channel was in my recommended, do you have tutorials or printed instructions for these custom trains?
I have instructions in the works, and I will be sure to announce when they are available. Thanks for watching, I’m glad my models can be compared to the detail of non lego models!
Man, you have an amazing collection of trains! I like how you used dark grey instead of light grey for the front of the Big Boy. Most other MOCs use light grey but I think it's too much of a contrast with black.
The reason why I wrote this particular comment is because I watched the classic series when I was younger and I've seen a few photos from other TH-cam videos.
Thanks! If you are genuinely interested I could build you a copy, and customize it if needed. Keep in mind the price for all the parts, wheels, decals, and rods can be in the 500-1000 dollar range. Email me if you are interested, thanks for watching!
Amazing models, the best lego ones I’ve ever seen. Would love to see you rebuild that J class too, I have a soft spot for N&W steam. You earned a new subscriber, keep it up!
the big boy and daylight are woderful mocs, good job!
Thanks!
The fact that the big boy is mini figure scale and runs on a standard track!! 🔥👍
What I love about the lego big boy is how the articulation is like in real life
Thanks! According to my research, this is the first time correct articulation has been built into a lego big boy
The fact that your challengers run so smoothly let’s me know how high quality they are. How much have you even spent on these things?

I don't have much knowledge about US locomotives, but I really like the colors of the "daylight", nice trains you have there ;)
Thanks! Yeah, the Daylight is certainly a beautiful train.

After the daylight I know you could know the J out the park! Excellent work.
Thanks a lot!
what is the J ?
@@obsessivecorvid The Norfolk and Western 611

Also, what are you thoughts on the brickmania LEGO trains?
I think they look great, just way too expensive
Holly 💩 I love the daylight model
Awesome man! Where did you get the bigboy and daylight?
I designed and built them myself!
Amazing! It would be cool to overhaul your first steam locomotive and turn it into the N&W 611 since it kinda already has the body to it.
Thanks, I probably will in the future!
how do you build them. Is the linking rods costume
In my opinion you should have made Percy's funnel taller. Because in the RWS illustration his funnel is taller.
The reason why I wrote this particular comment is because I watched the classic series when I was younger and I've seen a few photos from other TH-cam videos.
Tinplate is my favorite one,i also built one
The union pacific big boy was my favourite ♥️
could you give instructions to the 4449. i suck at designing stuff😂
J class looks like it's on a test run but still needed parts but other than that locomotive still looks good like the others
You need to put this on lego ideas
Where can I buy a Lego Big Boy like yours? I would like one haha. If you built it yourself I'd like to order one from ya :).

Do you know of any detail layout of the 2 driving wheel arrangements?
Not sure I understand, sorry
