Casino Royale (1967) theme on piano

- Almost half a century before the Daniel Craig era, there was a bizarrely wacky James Bond parody, loosely based on Ian Fleming's Casino Royale book, starring almost every big shot actor of that time from Peter Sellers onwards. It acquired quite a cult following, some hated it, some (including me) loved it, but you know what, nobody can deny Orson Welles' Le Chiffre was waaaaaay cooler than the testicle-piñatin' maniac of the Craigfest.
And did I mentioned it had the catchiest intro theme of all the Bond flics, ever?
Music by Burt Bacharach
Original performed by Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass - เพลง
Truly a masterpiece! I have always liked the song and you translated it to piano well. I think even Herb Alpert would appreciate your rendition. Thank you so much for sharing.
Many thanks, means a lot!! ❤️😊
Bloody hell, that was good ! As a home musician who's theory doesn't go much further than major/minor scales I am in absolute awe of arrangements like this.
Made my day, thanks!! ❤️😊
Well. done! I saw Herb Alpert a week ago in Connecticut. He played a segment of Casino Royale, along with his other hits. It is amazing that he is still touring.
Wow I wasn't even aware he was still with us :) Thanks a lot! 😊❤️
R.I.P. Burt. This is my favourite piece of music by him and you arranged and played it like a boss. Top marks. Loved it!
He will be sorely missed 😢Thank you so much! ❤
Really well done! Great playing and wonderful arrangement!
Many thanks mate ❤️😊
I love this song and the film of the same name as the the theme song
Agreed, and what a crazy movie it was :) Thanks !!
That was great and what's more, you clarified a lot of the intricate inner detail of the tune-bravo!
❤❤Thank you so much 😊😊
Amazing! Bravo! ❤

Thanks a lot !😊😊
Am holding a lit lighter over my head ,,,BRAVO
😂 thanks a lot mate!
Very catchy, good job.
I went to high school in Greenwich Village when this song came out. I could not admit to liking it lest I would face ridicule from my “hip“ friends. Now I understand its counterpuntal
charm (don’t try to compare Dylan with Bacharach musically to me) & feel fully vindicated. Great job. Thank you.
❤Must still have the tape somewhere where I got it from TV speaker using a cheap tape recorder mic back in the 80s
WOW ,I could really hear the British under tones, well played friend!💗
Complete with fish n chips 😊
Wait - so you're telling me that Classical Ragtime is a Thing???

Well done! Very much enjoyed this.
...btw...while a big mess of a movie, it made tons of money and was the 13th biggest hit of 1968.... hardly a flop.
Thanks! Will fix the description 👍
Total klasse gespielt.

This is amazing! I'm nearly finished with watching all the James Bond films and this is my favorite theme by far. Are there any piano sheets out there for this or did you do it all by ear?
By ear, it's my own arrangement :) Very happy you liked it!
How long did it take you to learn and play this song and well done 👍
I think it took about 3 weeks
