As much as we've laughed at Russia's incompetence most of the war, it is time for us to really pull our pants up and focus. The longer this draws on, the better Russia becomes. It's going to be interesting to see how NATO/WEST/EU Try and solve this looming problem of manpower and morale; Against a country that historically can draw in a vast amount of manpower regardless of moral.
They don't actually have vast amounts of manpower. Check their census and vital statistics as a country. If Putin tries mass conscription again he risks losing what popular support he has.
Poland and the Baltics are going to jump in. They're showing all the signs. That would be a terrible idea, of course. Europe is doomed if the leadership of NATO don't start negotiating with Russia now.

This is my own a opinion ,as a former millitary analyst, I am the only one saying this, But I believe, that Russia deliberately allowed the Ukrainian attack in to Kursk ( there was little or no defense in Kursk) ...why...how..?? , because the Russian Millitary knew that Ukraine did not have the Troops or weapons, and would have to pull Troops and weapons away from the Front Lines , which as its turned out is exactly what they did,, and so by so doing has weakened the Front Lines where Russia siezed the opportunity, and lifted the speed,of their attacks, and is now moving so fast , with little or NO defenses in some places, Plus Ukraine has Lost about 22000 Troops, 100,s or so FPV,s Tanks ,Apcs, pickup trucks, Transports, artillary, SAM,s ammunitions Storage, Dumps,. theyve been just totally Destroyed and as I mentioned Russia always knew they had enough Troops, and millitary, to Halt the Ukrainian Incursion in to Kursk,, So they didnt have to take too many Troops away from the Front ,so as we now see, that Russia is advancing at a much faster pace,.all along the Frontline than they would, If those Ukrainian,Troops and Millitary hardware had remained in the Front Line,. Ukraine has taken a huge loss in the Kursk,Region,. and once all the dust has settled, FOR WHAT,..maybe it was Zelenskys , last ditch effort to show the West, " hey were still fighting send us some more weapons,.we can finish the job, even as they have been destryed i Kursk,..I think the West can see the writing on the wall,.NO MORE WEAPONS,.. I will never understand the Kursk move by a smaller army desperate for more men and weapons. They purposely stretched themselves and helped the Russians speed up their advance on the eastern front.
it's proof russian borders aren't defended, putin's threat of nukes are empty, wont be surprised if nato does a show of force along the borders of russia
The ukrainian regime is very concerned with public relations and how their war effort "appears" in media. This leads them to pull strategically iliterate hollywood stuff like this - it gives them their additional 15 minutes of fame and positive spin in western media. I assume Zelensky believes that 'impressing' his allies (to gain more aid) is more important than making strategically sound decisions. unfortunately it has the 'pee in pants for warmth' effect. Ukraine gains approving commentary in the west for a few weeks, until the effects of their strategically iliterate decisions begin to take hold (the accelerated loss of the eastern provinces) .. Then, suddenly, their not only worse off strategically, but they have also appeared strategically stupid to their western allies, resulting in the opposite effect from what they wanted ("wtf is Ukraine thinking??" seems to be the main sentiment now even in pro-ukraine/pro-war media.

According to your analysis the military equipment loses of Russia is significantly larger than Ukraine so far, but still Ukraine lost a substantial amount of its territory to Russia. That's quite absurd, don't you think.
I mean to be fair their numbers are coming from another party that is only looking at visually confirmed losses via photos and videos. And to also be fair, a good amount of that territory was already in Russian hands in 2014 and then the quick invasion post 2022 didn't have Ukrainians have most of their equipment there at least from their NATO and other ally suppliers well into the war. It's guaranteed in almost any conflict that the defender will probably lose far less than the attacker unless the attacker had that much more people and that much better equipment. After all, it's not uncommon for invaders in prolonged, slow conflict to lose double to triple the defending force. It's a grind. That's why as an invader, you have to keep the will to fight pretty high.
Not really. Russia has the stocks to replenish its losses, and Ukraine doesn't. A tank lost by Russia is not the same as a tank lost by Ukraine. Plus, Russia has more striking capabilities with long-range missiles and air power. The Germans in ww2 from 1943 onward inflicted extreme casualties to the Soviets, yet were still losing ground daily.
Ukraine is also on the defensive, which is a huge advantage. 1 to 3 losses for the aggressor is considered normal, except you can tell Russia has a clear advantage in aerial combat.
I am just curios dont you guys see himars getting destroyed even acknowledeged by the ukranian side and still put ukranian rocket launcher losses for august at 0?
Poland sent more than 300 tanks. Probably around 400-500. Poland was also overlooked when it came to artillery. About 100 Krab self-propelled howitzers, some of the most advanced in the world. Also, Rak mortars. There are even legends that soldiers on training grounds in Poland haven’t seen any BMPs for a long time, while Poland had hundreds of them. Poland transferred most of its infantry fighting vehicles to Ukraine. Some modern ones too. All of this is not classified. Poland has given away truly enormous amounts of equipment but keeps it a secret. This video even omits things that are classified. Poland also handed over combat helicopters and fighter jets. That is, Poland left fighter jets at the border with Ukraine, and someone stole them. All of this is old news. Poland also donated a lot of Goździk artillery. This is self-propelled artillery from the communist era.
So what exactly is left in Poland? probably nothing... how do they think they can beat the Russians? Or do they still have 13037 tanks, 2308 fighter jets, 5000 pieces of artillery???😂😂😂

One of the major reasons Ukraine hasn't withdrawn from Kursk to reinforce the Donbas, is because the brigades in Kursk aren't made for defense, but for mobile offense, it would make little difference in the Donbas
Are you dumb? The Ukraine war has shown that no brigade is a "offense" or "defensive" unit. An armoured unit would be always effective as it would give a far greater soft attack to light or mobile infantry. Heck it would be more useful to have mobile units as it would help to quickly reinforce if a breakthrough happens. The only reason why Russia is steamrolling so much is because Ukraine can't patch up it defences in time as it requires quick armoured and support units.
Even when Russia denies it, they had to redirect a lot of resources to Kursk and it's weakening them in Donbass. It especially hurts Russia because flexibility isn't one of their strengths.

But I don't think Russia has much left in her to take any more of Ukraine pass what they have already taken in the Donbas. After all, with interest rates rising in Russia, inflation is only going to get higher as the war keeps going and literally the Russian economy is relying on the war to keep production up and there's already discussions among economists that Russia is now facing manpower shortages in industry. Plus, they already had a negative emigration rate prior to the war in Ukraine, there is no way they can go much further than they already had in the country without risking revolt.

They never report Ukrainian successes, so while this channel does make a contribution, they don't deserve to be honored as an "objective" source, "going against the current", blah, blah, blah. Despite the value of the information they publish, we still have to take what they say with a grain of salt.
To be fair, Ukrainian OPSEC is so high that it is hard to make videos with a Ukrainian narrative till after the war. Till more information comes out after the war, it will continue to just be Russian idiocy and blunders that hurt their advance in Ukraine, and not Ukrainian heroism, bravery, or maneuverability on the battlefield. The one thing that is certain about Ukraine that is obvious (with regards to frontline) is there is poor communication between neighboring units so Russians exploit their seams, in addition, Ukrainian rotation of brigades is poor, Soledar fell which opened the gates to Bahkmut when 93rd mech was in the process of rotating out. Toretsk has see assaults recently because the 24th Mechanized which had been holding defense there forever was redeployed to Chaisv Yar. Correct me on anything if I’m wrong.
The reading of the pokrovsk situation is way too negative in all media. This is the main offensive axis of russia. It is expected that they would gain some ground. It is strange to expect Ukraine, the underdog, to completely halt the russian advance in every sector completely. At this rate, when they eventually reach Pokrovsk, it is going to take them 6-8 months more to take it judging by their pace in Bakhmut. Even if Russians can keep this pace of offensive operations it would take them like 2 years to take all Donbas, paid by tens of thousands of casualties, billions of cost to effectively capture what has become rubble. And then the war would still not be over by any means. It would just have a new frontline.
To be fair, the defenses around places like Bahkmut and Avvdivka were there shoring up for a decade since 2014. The issue with Povkrosk is that while they are building defenses are the city, it isn't going to be AS good as they had it in Bahkmut and Avvdivka. Though it will definitely still be a slog for the Russians as I imagine the Ukrainians will dig in and try to hold them off as long as they can and also bring other reserves on board, and the longer they hold, more brigades will probably be manned up in the coming months to help aid that front. They'll still probably lose Povkrosk ultimately, but the Russians will probably pay a huge price for it.
I'd argue it isn't. We're at a stage where this war is a stalemate which in turn means defeat for Ukraine and NATO while victory for Russia. It's this paradox where anything else than a massive gain by ukraine is basically a failure cuz rmb, 20% of ukraine is still in Russia's hands while all ukraine has managed to do is control 0.007% of the biggest country in the world. Rmb, Russia is not the sane guy here. For it, gaining a town after 10 months and 100,000 deaths is considered the greatest victory in the history. I'll quote lazerpig here that Putin and by proxy his minions all think they're going against the entirety of NATO, which is why in their mind, all this carnage is justified. and such a delusional enemy is very very bad.

No capability for that anywhere. All NATO countries used all their surplus training slots for Ukraine troops. It would take NATO years to expand that capability if that is decided right now. Or for NATO to stop training their recruits and focus exclusive on Ukraine.
Important Point to Know: Even if US allow Ukraine to use long range missile deep inside Russia, it will make little to no difference as Russia already prepared for internal strike from Ukraine secondly, even if US provide advance missiles this will not change the course of war because the morale is very low for the Ukrainian people and they have shortage of manpower. The troops in Kursk are offensive troops, they are better served in the offensive. The plan was good, but Russia managed to stabilize the front without compromising the offensive in Donbas
@@Juan_Jose_Miraballes offensive troops? At least on the tank front it would seem Ukraine is kicking the hiney out of Russia, and Russia is forced to use older tanks from storage. While true at least according to Wikipedia (yes I am pulling from some real credible sources) Russia had 8,000 T-72s and the current losses would account for only a quarter to a third of Russia's total tanks. So Russia does have to pull moth ball tanks from the 70s. The only problem is that Ukraine's tanks were mostly also T-72s and even older T-64s. Even with the much less losses Ukraine has still reduced their tanks to about half. This really is the conflict in a nutshell, while Ukraine is doing really well with what they have, Russia is beating them with sheer force of numbers.Thereby Ukraine is truly dependent on aid from other countries as without it. The war would have already been lost.
@@meesamkhan4767 I haven't said it. 🤷 Russia will be there for a long time similar to how america stay in syria now. Both are staying for the same purpose.
What is with this talk of "ukraine should have defended pokrovsk instead of hitting Kursk"? First , no one knows that those mechanized breakthrough units would be able to defend the Russian advance, and even if they could, it would be a poor use of their capabilities. More importantly, how does anyone think that would have been the better outcome? This is a war of attrition. Ukraine shouldn't be using its best units butting heads with Russia in their main offensive axis, just to barely keep the frontlines frozen, which doesn't help them anyways. Ukraine is correctly giving ground to the Russian advance while making them pay for it and hitting where they are thin. So they have more ground to give when Russia tries to retake it and loses more resources. The Kursk move is well worth Pokrovsk, not that Russians can take it for another 7-8 months, even if they can.

Even though the majority of those stocks are now destroyed in Ukraine, and the rest are rust buckets over 70 years old, it's not surprising there's still at least one T-34 tank available to Russia to show off on a parade as those tanks were garbage even in WW2, much less today, and it's unlikely Russia will deploy them to the front when it runs out of T-72s.

The Germans in ww2 from 1943 onward inflicted extreme casualties to the Soviets, yet were still losing ground daily.

The vaunted counteroffensive of 2023 that was guaranteed to deal a massive blow sputtered out on the first line of defence. Just to name a few.
Fast forward to today, not only is the rus army not running out of equipment, their conquest has actually been picking up pace.

@@Marveryn yeah I know.

Probably drive up the economy worse than now could see many countries get desperate then u get world war.
In Brazil it is 9 months of training for becoming an NCO (private). 3 years of military academy for becoming an officer (second lieutenant).
No capability for that anywhere.
All NATO countries used all their surplus training slots for Ukraine troops.
It would take NATO years to expand that capability if that is decided right now.
Or for NATO to stop training their recruits and focus exclusive on Ukraine.
Is this bloodiest war ?
Important Point to Know:
Even if US allow Ukraine to use long range missile deep inside Russia, it will make little to no difference as Russia already prepared for internal strike from Ukraine secondly, even if US provide advance missiles this will not change the course of war because the morale is very low for the Ukrainian people and they have shortage of manpower. Russia's population is 3.5 times larger than Ukraine, there are no effective solutions to solve Ukraine's manpower disadvantage. Ukraine need equipments to compensate for this issue. Maybe instead of attacking in the Kursk area those forces could have been used to strengthen the defense in the pokrotsk sector, although a boost in morole and a posible card in the negotiating table, you must also be able to hold that area in the long term which seems questionable if Ukraine can indeed hold that area for months or even years or how long it will take for peace to finally come considering there inability to stop Russia in their own better defensible front in Donbass
