Without Shapeshifter, it became though basically impossible to win as an Imposter. I mean the standard round of 1 Imp vs 9 Crew Mates was done anyway as soon some people managed to learn some basic logic skills especially because nobody wanted to do more than 1 "long task" anyway or reduce the Cooldown of "K*ll" to less than 10 seconds. Then 2 vs 8 Crew Mates was already difficult, especially because you had to rely on somebody as Impostor who may just blew it anyway. And you actually see that even if you play with randoms; if you have only 3 to 4 people which ain't absolute ... you'll win every round as Crew as soon as you deactivate Shapeshifters.
nah i liked the old among us and it's simplicity, just walk around and do all the tasks without getting killed or kick out the impostor, and if you're the impostor just kill everyone without getting caught
And its individual. You can turn off just the scientist or just the engineer,or just the shapeshifter,etc. so you can have all that you want thats new,or have ild among us
I freakin’ LOVE watching people play with these roles! The chaos that unfolds is absolutely hilarious and as someone who’s quite good at puzzle games from time to time, it’s good for really putting my detective skills to the test

Engineer: similar to the engineer role in a few Among Us mods - you can use vents 3. Guardian Angel: protect someone after you're dead? I forgot what it was, but that should be it 4. Shapeshifter: If you're an impostor, you have a chance at getting this role. Pick a person (on a menu) and shapeshift into them for a limited amount of time. I didn't play the Fungle map though or any Among Us after they added the Hide n Seek mode, so my info might be outdated.

If you search for lobbies in serious and expert level you will get some good lobbies. Just learn some basics of the game by either playing in bad lobbies first or do some research. That's it.

Scientist is basically Mystic & Medium, combined, but less powerful than both of them. In main game, you gotta be dead, tho. Official Among Us Devs did an interesting take on GA. And Engineer is just Engineer from (ToU & OR), but without the "Fix" ability. (And depending on the settings, it will kick you out of the vent, to prevent camping the vents). So cool that the devs decided to integrate a few modded roles into the Base Game. Yeah the entire game was inspired by The Thing. But for it to actually be related, the role would have to come in contact with the player first and assimilate them, thats when they can shapeshift into that particular person.
It is a bit chaotic with all the new roles, but I do like that they decided to add them. Also you can turn them off if you don't want them, so it's really not that big of deal

Honestly, after not playing among us in about 7 years, I felt the same after hearing the new roles, even with the hide and seek mode I was honestly surprised
They basically added like 1/10th of the TownOfUs mod which came out like a year earlier lol. That mod was really fun and well made. At some point there were more lobbies of people playing with this mod than without it, it helped Among Us stay alive for a little bit longer (at least where I live, it was really popular in the Polish streamer community), but sooner or later it had to die too. It proved that Among Us could still get out of irrelevancy and that it could still be a really exciting game, but InnerSloth failed at doing that so no one cares about the game anymore.
Tbh, the #1 reason that would happen is from the Sidemen as they still do post among us videos like about a month at a time, but it still seems pretty fire each episode.

Agreed. I played it back before it got popular and it was so fun! It was so simple and easy to understand. There weren't super crazy strategies, just plain problem-solving and cunning. Playing it years later after lots of stuff was added, it just didn't seem any fun anymore. There was way too much to learn and it became over-complicated from what it should have been. I didn't play it long because it just became too overwhelming to learn.
I personally think that makes it better I see why you might not like it now but...among us to me is meant to be like this....I mean I love to turn off my brain and watch the chaos unfold plus among us is just more fun with the new roles but that's just me and I respect your opinion

I have played among us for around 5 to 7 hours straight barely any breaks and I couldn't love it more! One of my favorite games in the world!
They basically added like 1/10th of the TownOfUs mod which came out like a year earlier lol. That mod was really fun and well made. At some point there were more lobbies of people playing with this mod than without it, it helped Among Us stay alive for a little bit longer (at least where I live, it was really popular in the Polish streamer community), but sooner or later it had to die too.
It proved that Among Us could still get out of irrelevancy and that it could still be a really exciting game, but InnerSloth failed at doing that so no one cares about the game anymore.
i mean the game is still updated fairly frequently so they havent abandoned the game or anything

Among Us getting a comeback in 2024 would be one of the best things to happen this year.
Tbh, the #1 reason that would happen is from the Sidemen as they still do post among us videos like about a month at a time, but it still seems pretty fire each episode.

They literally added a new map which nobody can complain about, new roles which if you don’t want to have you can turn off, hide n seek mode, and the chat features are only limited if you aren’t playing in a free chat lobby if you have free chat you can even turn off censors and swear

If you are looking for an among us like game, there is this game called unfortunate spacemen and it’s essentially among us but 3D and way more intricate. Unfortunately the player base is around 10 people so please kick those numbers up, it’s a good time.

I swear youtubers who played among us in 2019-2020 got their careers off of among us
They recently added 3 new roles:
Phantom (Impostor): Can turn invisible for a limited time, but can't kill while invisible
Noisemaker (Crewmate): Alerts all crewmates when they die
Tracker (Crewmate): Can place a tracker on any player for a limited time to see where they are on the map menu
I don't know why, but even though i so far have not gotten any of the new roles, i feel like tracker is gonna be so OP.
I still remember playing Among Us with my family.

Agreed. I played it back before it got popular and it was so fun! It was so simple and easy to understand. There weren't super crazy strategies, just plain problem-solving and cunning. Playing it years later after lots of stuff was added, it just didn't seem any fun anymore. There was way too much to learn and it became over-complicated from what it should have been. I didn't play it long because it just became too overwhelming to learn.

I personally think that makes it better I see why you might not like it now but...among us to me is meant to be like this....I mean I love to turn off my brain and watch the chaos unfold plus among us is just more fun with the new roles but that's just me and I respect your opinion
