I have to say, this is one of the most informative videos I’ve ever seen on this particular subject. Now in appreciation of your awesome video, I’m subscribed to your channel.! On a side note, 🎵Your muscles are big but yet, you can shred just as fast as a skinny guy with small arms! Hell Yeah! 💪

Cool run through on the Cabrig software 👍 was just playing around with the Cabrig on my HT Stage MK3 and totally agree it sounds great and totally usable … cheers 🍻

Thank you! Yeah, definitely usable tones from this. I do hope they upgrade the CabRig version for the Amped series of pedals. I also have the Amped 3 but that CabRig version only lets you use one cab

@@jasonstallworth oh interesting… I remember seeing one of your reviews on the Amped pedal and it sounded really good 🔥 Would be nice if the Cabrig was controllable via an App on my IPhone like the Torepdeo remote. A bit of a pain plugging in my pc to tweak the Cabrig settings but once you get them on the 3 presets on the amp I’m good to go 👍

Never played through one but wouldn’t mine trying it out. Nita Strauss was using one at a guitar clinic I went to. I have a video on some advice she gave us: th-cam.com/video/iS5-rh0eZac/w-d-xo.htmlsi=qZpBIzYJ2KjtHsxq

Hi guys! I wanted to ask how to do this properly with the CabRig. I understand what it's about, but I'm failing miserably at implementing it... I normally go straight into an AI with my guitar and from there via USB-C into the MacBook, where I have various plugins that I also use in a DAW. If I go directly from the CabRig-Out into the AI, everything sounds a bit "dull". The Architect software only works via USB-C from the Blackstar Head to the MacBook, of course. But what exactly is the signal chain like if I want to use the amp in my DAW via the Architect software...?!? I don't quite understand it... I'm happy for any help, thanks!

Yes, I believe the CabRig software is only designed to be used with the relevant Blackstar amps (or pedals like their Amped series) and you’d just run your cable from the back of your amp (this is right by the CabRig switch on your amp) into your interface. And then run a cable from your amp’s input to your guitar

@@jasonstallworth yes, you are absolutely right, of course, I have managed it now. I don't know why the sound was a bit strange. But now it works very well with the CabRig out in the audio interface! What I am wondering is, if I leave the input in my DAW as it was before, i.e. audio interface, how can I get pre-effects without having physical devices, but with a plug-in, so that I basically have a signal chain in the DAW where pre-effects like boosters, distortion etc. are looped in first, before(!) the amp simulation...?!?

Do do have any idea of how to get a good tone with a line 6 spider 15 amp?

So just to confirm does the head need to be connected to your cab while using usb/cab rig ? .. i just ordered this head not long ago and i dont want to risk damaging the amp.

No, you can use while the cab is plugged in or unplugged. If your cab is plugged in, you can just turn the master volume down and use the channel volume and you'll just hear the CabRig from your monitors. Or you can just turn on the standby switch
