@@lightanddark1199 Okay, here's a recap of the battle system this game has:
Obviously, there's taking damage and your HP goes down, anyone knows that. What you might NOT know is that when you take enough damage and your health is supposed to drop to zero, you're still alive.
That's because in Mother 2 and 3, there's "rolling HP." when you take a bunch of damage, you can heal before your health rolls to zero and you'll live an otherwise fatal attack! *Yes, this technically means that someone with 300 health can take 1000 damage and survive if they heal fast enough.*
And that's why the Mother 2 and 3 attack animations are so short. If they're too long, the HP meter rolls too much and makes it unfair for the player as enemies in the games kind of hurt. But don't worry, the way you make your animations are becoming more and more like the way they actually are made :D
