Farming twigs is way easier than mining them. just plant a few hundred broad leaf trees and cut them down for the wood for charcoal, you will get plenty of twigs. In the mean time just farm a nice big plot of shrubs
@@milesthanx6803 I probably had 200 ish trees in grass not farm soil because I'm the only archer of my buddies and it seemed easier to spam trees and havest them when I need wood for charcoal
Seems reasonable, although I am just playing copper arrows, I never measured if farming feathers iron/bone is a better time grab instead of having lower dps. So wood for charcoal is just a spot farm for me. Mining twigs is a timewaste i am with you there.
Im comparison to other builds, archer is a big timewaste. But for the content thats available you get the most outcome for this ea title. Bonus tip you can specc into some points of beastmaster to grap dex points and easy game and poultry meat farming.
- Deerstalker Gloves would deal a lot more damage, it scale your fire damage on the bow as well, not only +6% ranged. - Shell Shock works with Blink Attack explosion and with Granades. - Fire Damage from Wizard tree also benefits bow and Explosive Arrows - Haven't tested Pierce damage from Warrior tree, but with other skills doing more than it's described i would bet that piercing "melee" damage also works for arrows as well. - Paladin Chestpiece gives more important stats.
Totally with you here. Dps-wise I am playing deerstalker gloves and pala chest as well. There is a craftable chest ilvl 23 with same bonus stats as pala chest cant tell the english name. I personally didnt read into the warrior/red tree. But i can follow your assumption. Maybe you have to sacrifice too much dex bonus for that cant tell.
There is an alternative way for the Twigs and i never heard anyone ever say that and i think its easier than the boring mining !! When you unlock the seedbed in farmer and you have no issue to gather water you can basic planting purple berries plants . That plants are different from the other plants in half of normal time of harvest they change their state to collect (no harvest it must say collect else you get only berries) and from 100 plants you get about 80 twigs . I use for now normal farm soil and that means full harvest take 2 nights the collect takes 1 night . What i personally do is when i log in put the plants in the soil and i go to do what ever other shot farm i wan. When night comes i sleep and when i wake up soon they change state from repot to collect .
i like ranger too but arrows farming can be a pain and i have since switched to wizard (mix gear of radiant paladin + elder god) after testing alot of skills/setup with melee focused. Wizard trivialized the bosses especially end game. I hope they rework on melee in future.
Hey dude. I farm arrows by destroying all the pots that lead up to the sun temple chest. I got 1000+ arrows in under an hour. Even tho i like to farm, this is a nice alternative if you don’t feel like waiting around or whatever. Peace 🤝
I find the best twig farm to be North West of the Revelwood fast travel, as there is saplings that drop 2-6 twigs per sapling, and take 2 hits of an iron axe. You can get a huge amount of twigs in very little time.
I am at 271 hours and mainly an archer build. I made survival my priority for shroud exploration. with a big shroud elixir I can last 21 minutes in the shroud, 17 minutes without an elixir. I also went with the beast master talents for animals their assistance is nice, but them leaving you alone is great too. The only problem is they can get in the middle of a fight and as soon as you hit them, they go right after you. I just use wooden arrows and farm the mats to make them on my farm loop.. My luck for finding a legendary 1.0 draw speed bow has been bad, so I have an epic one. I have all the 0.6 draw speeds in legendary. Am starting to wonder if I am hunting a unicorn. The 1.0 draw speeds have a higher top end damage of 35 at level 25. The 0.6 speed have a top end of 25. So your surprise backstab shots should be 40% higher. Hope that helps if you try it.
Really great job on all the enshrouded content, very much appreciated, thank you. How did you get 111 skill points, since I'm level 25 (XP stops at this point), killed all roots and completed all main quests and I've maxed out at 95 points? Are you farming skill scrolls or something?
you are now also able to multishot special arrows, perhaps you want to update this guide cus multishot special arrows are absolutely busted (looking at you explosive arrows) So edit : Special arrows BIG YES
I found legendary Shadowbane bow today at sun temple. Lvl 25 25 power .6 draw speed 5% of health and 5% mana leach per shot +10 shroud damage +20 % arrow speed And +20 % backstab
What do you do with shielders? Especially groups of them? I find their whole existence a huge pain - there's that one temple that has like 8 of them in groups of 4 and it was SUCH A DAMN PAIN to slog through, I think I died over 8 times doing that dungeon (and another 2 times to the boss.... homing spinning scythes are no joke, especially since they even hit you behind walls.. the only thing that helps is the few invincibility frames from dodge). The shielders are just insane, the only time they are vulnerable to arrows is like 0.6 sec as you dodge their attack, and even that's a shoddy window of opportunity if there's more than 1 of them. The only thing other than shielders that gets my teeth grinding are attack bugs and fell monstrosities spam summoning flies - there's that one quest for Well Blocks that has you fighting a Fell Monstrosity constantly spawning flies AND a shielder at the same time and it's just pure pain and constant barrage of attacks...

it goes through arrows fast. I imagine it's a pain of a skill if you're using explosive arrows (but there's no kill like overkill I guess). AT LEAST it actually gives you damage instead of actively hindering you (like Eagle Eye failed zoom that makes you misjudge the distance 99% of the time and just shoot ground) I spent 8 hours making explosive arrows and only got 75 of them so far (Black powder takes a truly stupid amount of resources and time for basically no damage). I'm literally terrified of spending the explosive arrows. Worse yet, someone on reddit posted a video that every explosive arrow they shoot ALSO HURTS THEIR OWN CHARACTER no matter how far the explosion occurs lol
I am having an hard time using blink, its bind to control and I dont know to place my hands on the keyboard to access everything i need. Any tips? Also, I added the tank tree with the remaining points, otherwise I get one shot sometime.
i use the dearstalker gloves i think they are better. check it out! . but i play a Tank Archer build with the Radiant Paladin trausers and chest armor. abaut 1000 HP without food.
Oh yes 100%! I love Valheim and will continue to cover it when the updates drop (currently don't have the time to also do it as also working on Nightingale this month) So many game releases these days its absurd tbh
Is it possible to create mage with high critical chance and critical damage (asuming those works on magic spells, which are ranged), who also drop orbs and can tank a little bit? I'm thinking about archer/mage build lol, who can create orbs for me and others. Full range build, not battle mage with tank perks.
For me, the logjam is feathers; I can farm twigs effectively but feathers are a bitch because your using arrows to farm for arrows and I haven't found a 'spot'... just killing every flyer I see. Ive chosen to use copper arrows 90% of the time since they are the best you can craft without feathers, allowing me to use 100% of my feathers on exploding arrows and iron arrows.
I have a very similar build, without water aura and with shell shock, because it works also with shroud arrows. No need for explosive arrows and the respective skills, not so difficult to craft and very effective. Recently I started a second playthrough and tried magic. Because I found it boring, I changed to melee but ended up with a kind of archer again, because this class is the most varied and flexible IMO.
Twigs should be a bundle of 10 imo whoever heard of cutting down a large tree and only getting 4 sticks from it.😂 besides you should be able to cut 5 arrow shafts from one wood at the carpenter.
You definitely did never try Shellshock in combination with shroud arrows :P As the Cloud that the arrow releases stunlocks any enemy that is not in attack-animation ;)
Why would you want to stunlock an enemy if you can 1-2shot them from a nice distance in the first place? Wasting precious resources on toys is what I avoided with this build with a focus on efficiency in general which works great ^^
Should have mentioned, that i play multiplayer a lot. Stun a bird or a toxic bandit is great for the group. On my solo char, i also dont use this anymore. @@04AMofficial
Ive seen alot of people call builds "ranger builds" but rangers are short sword weilding / self-healing / bow masters. Legolas wasnt a ranger, strider was. I think backstab and ambush are more for stalker/ assassin builds than ranger builds.
Is there even any engame in this game? What is the point of endgame guides? You've basically done everything, what is supposed to motivate you to go out and farm yet more arrows?

I just observed that my game crashed with 650ish plants. With fertilized soil terrain you can spam farm twigs around 400 plants imho.

I dont know I swapped out my eagle eye gloves for the deerstalker and do 10 less damage per hit with the wolf's snarl bow

It does use the arrows it shoots. If three arrows are shot from the bow, three are taken from your inventory.

My roll/blink is one of the side mouse buttons. Seems to be working well.

Isn't eagles bane bugged? I recently tested it and it doesn't increase the damage

It takes me 30 minutes to harvest 600 shrubs and then replant them. I wish they would make the shrubs drop 2 twigs instead of 1!

Feathers are the biggest problem for arrow farming. They should make the birds drop 5 feathers instead of 2
After the nerf to Water Aura it's more convenience than anything else IME.
