22:56 there was an explanation of defiler's abilities in the SC manual, long story short - it has huge swarm of its simbionts living under its carapace which it is able to release in the form of dark swarm, and it has the genetic code of all of zerg units in its DNA just like larvae have but it is required to produce toxins needed to dissolve fellow units while consuming them and hurt others (apparently vomiting these toxins on them) while plaquing.
Aye, there's no specific mention where the Defiler sprays its Plague goo from, but for chemical factory organs capable of that kind of ejection, the digestive tract organs seem like a likely progenitor.
...Just don't get too involved thinking how Infested Kerrigan projects the Ensnare goo.

Bisu had only 2 bases with minerals left so thats why he knew he would not be able to win against the Zerg..
If you look at the map when Bisu resigned, none of his bases had crystals. His economy was gone.

I think Bisu taps out even before he sent in the army for that final push. ASL tier zergs tend to auto-win if they can afk farm safely (from what I've seen). Bisu wasn't able to find a way in, so I guess that was that. He could have expanded more aggressively earlier on in the game, but he went for a more military focused route that didn't get it done.
It still seems like a surprising tap-out, and I'm mostly speculating. I'd love to hear from some more experienced players as to why Bisu didn't try to stay in and build up another death ball.

Falcon, Plague is an invasive fungus that grows on people, vehicles and buildings. Not only are they toxic, they also grow at an alarming rate, powerful enough to rip through little openings in vehicles and buildings. Source: The fat manual that came with some editions of Starcraft.

Yah....and yes I am a noob, but why do none of these protoss players ever build carriers?
@@TomTomTom87 because they are not cost effective a carrier costs 350 minerals and 250 gas, 6 scourge can take a carrier down and together they cost 75 minerals and 225 gas, 4 goliaths can take down a carrier and together they cost 400 minerals and 200 gas, scourge are much faster than carriers so by the time the interceptors are deployed the scourge are already closing in on the carrier and goliaths with charon boosters have a much larger range than carriers so by the time interceptors are deployed they would have already suffered a good amount of damage, they do make carriers but not often because it take a while to produce an effective number of carriers since they take a lot of time to produce and a lot of resources and supplies they can be countered with units that can be produced much faster that require less resources and supplies, sorry for the long explanation haha

@@TomTomTom87 not sure because all protoss aerial units are expensive the only reasonably priced one is the corsair but it cant attack ground targets and disruption web doesnt last long enough to actually sway the battle in your favor, scouts are costly too at 250 minerals and 150 gas which can be countered by inexpensive scourge and marines with medic support they also dont do very good damage against ground units, the most useful ones are arbiters since they can stasis enemy units so it will reduce the number of enemy jnits fighting back at that moment and uou can use recall to send your forces into enemy territory or recall to safely evacuate them if youe forces are in trouble but theyre also very expensive and they have low damage since theyre mainly support units, mass carrier is a devastating force that can wipe out enemy bases in seconds but it takes a while to actually amass the carriers and other players will focus them down if they notice youre building carriers so you would need to protect them before they can actually amass and do decent damage, Im not a protoss player or a pro I just really love starcraft and its what I deducted from observing many starcraft matches I hope this info was at least a bit useful to you when you play pvp

The only casters I watch now are you and Lowko. Broodwar was my childhood, I love that you cast these games. It gives me all the nostalgia feels and is a relaxing watch at the end of a long day.

Nah fuck the Zerg, protoss all the way!! Way cooler units. Dragoons "for vengeance". Units look way cooler and sound badass. Zergs look like cockroaches in my toilet or the sewer.
PvZ is definitely my favorite SC matchup! BW is usually great, but I cannot stand ZvZ in BW. SC2 is great too!

The forge almost dies upgrading level 1 weapons, you would think BISU would try to fortify that position, but he instantly begins upgrading armor with a forge that's almost freaking dead, serious balls dude

Bisu spent all game hitting a wall. He didnt get any progress done, instead, Larva had more and more bases while he sacrificed taking over the map for more units while trying to break through and destroy one of larva bases. Larva was much superior this match didn't even need ultralisks. Take it as a rule that protoss need to have a higher population than the zerg for the match to be EVEN because zerg units take less supply. Now if both were to be maxed out then the protoss would have to have a TON of high tech units, arbitrers, archons, reavers, etc. This game turned around for bisu since min 19:00

Hey falcon , huge fan, been watching your videos now for almost 2 years . Larva is coming to be my favorite player and matches to watch and was hoping since it's been a good couple months if you can cook up another larva cast .

Aaaand this is why Zerg players are my favorite. Terran and Protoss players will tap out on the offensive if Templar/Tanks are not solving all their problems. Zerg players usually only tap out when their bases get destroyed.
Based on playing style. Stork never taps out. They also need to learn how to utilize scouts along with carriers

As far as the plague is concerned, I dont know the true lore to it, but considering its name and the red graphics, I imagine it's infected blood being shot at enemies that makes them deathly sick
Doesn't explain buildings, but that's probably just game mechanics

Bisu was mined out on his bases and just lost his army. Had no way to reinforce.
I hate watching PvZ because zergs usually lose, the match up is very methodical and boring, and always ends in 10000 storms and a dead zerg. This was a pleasant surprise!

You provide good BW games on a regular basis which is why I click, whoever it is playing. Though Larva is my favorite Zerg player and it's mainly cause he uses the best strat against Protoss. Throw bodies at the protoss till it cost too much for them to replace everything.

So how does the mineral glitching work?
When you order a worker to collect minerals it no longer occupies space, and if you order it to move it starts to occupy space again, if it happens while the worker is close to the minerals and all space around is occupied, the worker may be pushed to the opposite side of the minerals.
