What do you do on a 2 story or high pitch roof where you don't have a ladder high enough and you are in a restricted FAA fly zone like near an airport?

I carry a 28-ft Louisville fiberglass ladder and a 40-ft aluminum ladder. I have built homes and barns. I prefer to get up on the roof, nothing beats touching the roof covering. But I have to say, it's really nice to do a visual-only roof inspection without leaving the ground.

Our job is to report observed material defects. I can do that job from the ground using a drone. Do you have a question?

Obviously not. Today, I was doing a roof inspection. Climbed up, touched the covering, 2 years old, shingles felt great. Can't do that with a drone. But in situations where I can't reach the roof surface with my feet, a drone is really great.
