I had this lens on an old Fujica film camera from back in the day. I bought an adapter and put it on my fx3 Sony and it is killer. Your footage looks fantastic!
My Super Takumar 35mm f2 has a thorium coating but i think this Vivitar hasn't such a coating. The lens is much cooler straight out of camera, i only graded it very warm :D
The lens itself is relatively cool beside the warm flares, but yes the warm colors are from the grade. I don't make any scientific test, its more a look test for bokeh, flares and other artefacts loke chromatic abberation or distorsion :D

Beautiful footage. Goes to show sometimes great Vintage lenses are among the least expensive. I got mine at a charity shop for around $6.
Being from Hamburg myself, this lens makes these areas look much warmer than usual
On the one side this lens has warm lens flares, but in general most of the warm colors are from my colorgrading in the post production :D
I’d like to see a video on the color grading you did. Beautiful video.
Great footage!
Great looking footage!. Makes me want to dig up some of my vintage 28's : )
Greaat shot
Great video! And special thanks for Jupiter - 37A :)
Great shots!
Thanks :D
This is beautiful!
Thank you :D
I love the texture of this lens. Did you apply grain and the glow in colouring?
what is the size of Filter Diameter ?
67mm
Nice video! Just wondering if you know if the lens is radioactive/made with thorium?

Very nice video! What crop factor of this video?
Fullframe, so no crop :D
Bro,thank u for your video,I want to know if this lens contains radiation like takumar.
Nope, not this one. It's just colorgraded in a warmer tone
Is this a kino manufactured lens?
Is there an f2.8 and an f2.5 of this 28mm lens?
Vivitar has a 28mm f2.5 i used in this video and a 28mm f2.8, but they are not the same lenses
Which is better?
beautiful footage, beautiful colors. What camera do you use
Thanks :D I recorded everything with my LUMIX S5 and Blackmagic VideoAssist 12G HDR
@@niklasuthe thanks for the answer,i appreciate 👍🏻🙏🙏
What adaptator do you use?
I used the Urth Minolta MD to L-Mount adaptor :D
Hii friend ıs that a f2.8 or 2.5 ?
Oh yes, i named the video wrong xD It's the 28mm f2.5, not f2.8
@@niklasuthe 😀👍🏼
Hmmm. Mine definitely doesn’t look like that. I think this “look” is 95% colour grade and 5% lens.
