For someone who is just looking to start his journey in BLE Mesh world, this is a great video to get a basic understanding of how the BLE Mesh works. Thank you Sir Martin Woolley
Excellent intro Sir.... Could you tell me how well this technology's picked up? I saw than ESP and STM have nice devices and dev kits for bluetooth mesh.... Are they being widely adopted?
Great explanation. Jump forward 2 years - 2020. Our government wants us to take up a 'tracking/tracing' app. Harmless they say, only used for tracing virus contacts. But, my uninformed mind says that any device contact will be automatic (any phone within 1.5m) - who says they couldn't send the contacts list and/or recent call list? Even memory files from the other device. The promo says - only phones within your range for 15 minutes, but the device will have to log any device on first contact - otherwise, how will it know that 15 min - or indeed, any time, has passed? So any device will have a full list of contacts for the whole logging period. That could be invaluable to a snooping government - imagine a whole month (or more) of verified association data. Remember, a phone with the app will also track attempted connections to phones that do NOT have the app. Very clever, I'd say. Suspicious, too, What you think?
